kalin had gone back to his second base and changed back into his armor. he pulled the hood over his head and rode back into city and then drew his blades and said " any who want to find the man named kalin ride 5 miles out of the city and he will meet them there in 2 hours but be warned he will be ready to kill anyone who comes to find him." with that he rode off to the clearing that was 5 miles out and he sat down and waited for the people to show up knowing his target would be one of them and that there would be guards as well.

Azazeal, needing to find this assassin named Kalin, had started scoping out the town after the dead end that was the burned down base. He kept to the shadows, though often walked with crowds to remain unsuspicious as possible. Then, out of the blue a hooded man rode into the town and called out about where to find just the man Azazeal was looking for. He guessed that the rider was Kalin himself. Idiot. To reveal himself like that was an idiotic move. Everyone around him started murmuring as the rider left town. The guards gathered together, and went after the rider, intent on capturing this assassin.

But Azazeal had another plan. He wouldn't just march in there blades flashing. He went down an alley where no one would see him, and transformed. For he was a shape shifter. A fact that no one knew about him. He turned into a great raven, and flew away from the town towards the clearing. He perched on one of the out lying trees after circling a few times, and watched the man that waited in the clearing. Soon the clattering sound of guards was heard getting louder as they drew closer.

"now is when the fun starts" kalin said as he stood and pulled a rope and the cover on the ground moved to show the spike pit around him. as the guards charged blindly into the clearing the first wave fell into the spike pit. but the rest stopped and looked around and then a few jumped the pit to get to kalin who quickly killed them. a few guards drew bows and fired arrows at kalin but he dodged to the side and threw a few of his daggers at the guards. the last few guard stood at the edge of the pit and waited for kalin. kalin smiled and then went back to the center of the clearing and sat down again.

Azazeal watched, as a raven perched in a tree, with interest as this assassin Kalin proceeded to take most of the guards out. First by uncovering a trap in the ground, other he sliced down or threw daggers at. This one was ruthless, though he didn't seem very calculating by his movements, or that was Azazeal's observation, he could be wrong.
"Waiting for someone in particular, assassin?" one of the guards called out to Kalin.

"I'm waiting for something that will test me more than you do. I don't have to do anything and I would still kill you guards." Kalin said calmly.

Kalin's words affirmed Azazeal's suspicion. Yet somehow he had known that someone was after him. The raven in the tree let out a squawk and flew away, out of sight. Azazeal wouldn't turn into his human form infront of anyone. In the forest, he turned into his human form, and ran through the forest with ease. He came from the opposite direction as the guards, so he would emerge from Kalin's back. Though Azazeal didn't just simply stand out into the clearing and expose himself. Instead he stayed in the trees.
"Amateur. You compromise yourself, and do not stay in the shadows. You are more of a mercenary than assassin," his words, more than anything, was to draw the attention of Kalin so that the other man would know he was present, though he skillfully hid in the trees so as not to be seen.

"and you should know not to hide behind trees or in the woods that i have called home my whole life. i can pinpoint your location right now" kalin said as he drew his bow and shot the last few guards. "i only hide when it is to my advantage but i know that right now it would be pointless to hide."

"Cocky bastard," Azazeal muttered, checking his throwing knives to make sure they were ready in place. He thought about going ahead and using them, but Kalin probably would expect that. The shape shifter heard the twang of the bow, and the dropping of bodies. So, this man was willing to kill others who really had nothing to do with it? And the fact that the guards wanted him in custody in the first place. No guard knew his name or his face. Azazeal decided to wait for the other assassin to enter the woods. Azazeal fought better in enclose spaces than open fields, anyway.

Kalin jumped over the spike pit and then walked into the woods. "humph stupid guards trying to catch me." as he walked he kept listening for any movement that would be out of place.

Azazeal remained completely still now, not moving a single muscle. He had trained his body that he could stay like this for hours without moving. He heard the very muffled sounds of Kalin moving slowly and listening. He was getting closer, that was for sure. Luckily Azazeal was already poised to strike as soon as the chance came.
