Batman: Sons of the Bat.

The Batman:

Who is he? Some says he's a violent monster, half man, half bat. Other's says he's just an ordinary man in a black cape. Some says that he's dangerous and should be stopped, others claims he's the hero Gotham has waited for. Truth is, no one knows who the Batman is, maybe not even he himself. However, the question that has come to light in recent years is : Is he alone? Up until two years ago, people surely did believe that. However, now he has his side-kick, Robin, the Boy Wonder. And his partner, Nightwing, because, as it would seem, the Batman can't do everything alone.

Now, it is up to these two young men to balance their lives. A social life, girls, parties, homework, teen-angst. A family that 'Dysfuctional' doesn't even begin to describe it. They have to bear the gifts, and the curses of being brought into the Wayne family.

Not only that, but they also have to keep their double lives as Gotham's two brightest and best crime-fighters. Because, should the Batman fall, it is up to the birds to keep the cursed city safe.

Backstory:

Born to a junkie mother, and a deadbeat father. His father abused him and his mother almost daily, till he got the sweet-release of death from a heart-attack.
He got into a life of crime at a very young age, and was rolling with a smaller gang at the age of 7, working as their 'runner'. He would make deliveries, and pick up parcels. Jason had been arrested 6 times before he hit the age of 8. His mother died when he was 8, leaving him an orphan in a foster-home.

It was when he was 9 years old, he saw him. He saw The Bat fight off Two-face's grunts. Jason had gotten onto the scene after the bat had left. He had found a batarang that he kept in his posession for the coming year. About 7 months after his first meeting with the caped crusader, he found his car. Wanting to mess with the bat, Jason stole the wheels of the car. Getting caught by the bat, whom gave him a good scaring, however, Jason wasn't scared, and the Batman saw it. However, unlike most who wasn't scared of the Bat, the Joker for example, you could see in Jason's eyes that he could change.

The Batman left him, and called upon the back-up mobile to take away the one with only one wheel.

Fast forward another two months, where Batman had gotten caught by the Riddler, bound by ropes and set up for a trap, when he was saved by a batarang cutting off the ropes.
The Batman took in the 10 year old, and began training him. Training harder than ever for 8 months, Jason was able to become Batman's first side-kick. The Robin, he earned the title of 'Boy Wonder' when he defeated the penguin, and saved the mayor all on his own, 12 years old. This was when.. He. came into Jason's and Bruce's life.

Abel Al-Ghuul. The son of Bruce's former trainer, and one who might be his greatest enemy. However, Abel was true in his search for redemption, and after some help from Jason, they managed to get Bruce to accept Abel into the family, giving him the guise of Nightwing.

Now, Robin, Nightwing and Batman are the protectors of Gotham city.

Skills and Abilities:

• Having been trained by the likes of both Ra's al Ghul and The Batman, Abel is a naturally gifted martial artist and stealth expert, although nowhere near the levels of his fathers. He has also taken a keen interest in various weapons, such as shuriken and Eskrima sticks, and has taken to crafting his own projectiles in the shape of his Nightwing logo, dubbing them "Wingdings".
• Having been trained by The Sensei and the League of Shadows for operations around the world, Abel is quite knowledgable of foreign cultures and languages, speaking English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, and German fluently.
• Abel's personal hobby during his time with the Assassins was to creatively find a way around the sanctuaries, from leaping from rafter to rafter, to climbing up walls, anything that would help him get to the highest point the fastest. Because of this, Abel's body and reflections are toned to the level of an Olympic acrobat, and he has utilized these skills during his nights on the prowl in Gotham.
• Due to his former status as an Assassin, Abel still withholds a natural aptitude for hunting and tracking, only now, instead of targets, he tracks down Gotham's greatest villains.

Equipment:

• Nightwing's mask is equipped with an array of optical gadgets given to him by Batman, from X-Ray vision, to infrared.
• Abel's suit, like many members of the Batfamily, can discharge a large magnitude of electrical energy when it comes into contact with an unrecognized or unapproved DNA source, effectively turning him into a human tazer. It also withholds an internal climate regulator system and various fail-safes to save itself from being hacked into.
• Grappling gun, Eskrima sticks, and various "pellets" held in small pockets, and in the case of the Eskrima sticks and grappling gun, on the side of his leg along his costume.

Genius-Level Intellect: Tim's naturally high intellect allows him to excel in computer science and more importantly as a skilled detective. Furthermore, Tim apparently has a firm grasp of assorted scientific techniques including biology, engineering and genetics. Tim could potentially be smarter and better than Batman himself. Admiring Batman and Robin, Tim has used his brilliant mind to study many disciplines, such as martial arts, forensic science, criminology, acrobatics, stealth, disguise, and escapology. Tim is suggested to have a far beyond normal mental concentration and mental focusing ability that allows him to think and calculate beyond most human beings.

Detective: Tim is capable of observation, forensic investigation, and inductive and deductive reasoning. Human intuition is an unlearnable trait and one of Tim's most effective tools.

Multi-lingual: Tim can speak Spanish, Japanese, and Russian.

Tactician and Strategist: Tim can utilize cunning tactics to outwit his foes though he lacks true experience in these fields.

Acrobat: He is proficient in gymnastics and acrobatics, having taken gymnastics his entire life.

Talented Martial Artist: Tim has only had formal training in during his childhood, but this has been enough for him to use his genius and talent to study different mainstream martial arts such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, and Grappling whilst keeping a constant exercise with his gymnastics. His abilities with the bo-staff gives him an extra edge with his fighting as he's always attempted to work hard in the usage of such. While he does not know as many styles nor does he technically match Jason or Abel within the technical aspects, Tim can use his own incredible intelligence in deducing weak points in moments and targeting them.

Equipment:

BW Shuriken: These are essentially shuriken with Tim's BatWing Insignia on them. A few have dull points as to cause only blunt damage.

Collapsible Bō: Robin uses an staff that can emit a taser effect and modified the weapon by carving small holes on each end, enabling the staff to generate a distracting whistling sound whenever it is put to use. Tim has found this extremely effective in keeping opponents off guard, allowing him to gain an upper hand in fights where he would otherwise be outnumbered.
