Ringo was looking in his rearview mirror and saw the smoke. It looked like where he had just came from, there is no way she set her own house on fire. He said turning his car around. He got to the beginning of hlthe block and saw that it was the women's house, "Wow, she wasn't kidding when she said she moved a lot." He said to himself. He went and started to drive towards the fire knowing she probably hadn't gotten that far.

She hopped over the fence behind her house and crawled through the grass. Sh got on the sidewalk and pulled up her hood as she was walking. She knew how to lay low. SHe kept walking with her head down, bobbing her head to an imaginary beat to pretend she was listening to music. She got over to a convienence store and walked down the aisles looking for snacks she could eat on her long walk.

Ringo drove around and didn't see the women, he realized the fence must have cut his leg for it was bleeding. He drove to a nearby store and went inside straight into the medical supplies section. He grabbed some gauze wrap and some hydrogen peroxide and went up to the counter waiting and waited in the long line so he could pay.

Kat finished picking out her chips when she turned around. Her eyes widened as she recognized Ringo. "What is he doing here?" She said to herself. She saw him leave, she heard his car drive away. And now Ringo was here. She dropped her chips on the floor then started backing up. She was almost down the aisle when she bumped into some lady who stepped on her foot. "Son of a bitch!" She shouted.

Ringo turned around when he heard yelling and walked over and picked up a bag of chips that had fallen on the ground. "Everything ok." He said putting the chips back on the shelf. He looked at one of the women who was wearing a hood questioningly, but he couldn't see her face all the way. "You look familiar do I know you."

She coughed into her fist then nodded and tried to change the sound of her voice. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." SHe replied taking the bags of chips from him. If she was lucky, she could get out without him realizing who she was. But lately, she was never lucky. Kat walked over to the line and stood there quietly. So much for her great escape. Maybe her next home would be more rural, less stupid civilians to get in her way. But, less places to hide. She would have to weigh out her options later.

Ringo shrugged and got back in line behind the women, his cut had started bleeding again so he used the supplies he had gotten to stop it. He would still pay for them but he had to use them to stop the bleeding. He still couldn't get the feeling that he knew the women in front of him, he tapped her on the shoulder, "Are you sure I don't know you from somewhere, you look awfully familiar."

Kat turned around when she felt a tap on her shoulder. "umm, I don't know. I think I have a rather familiar looking face, so doubt it." She hoped that her hoodie was casting a shadow on her face so he couldn't see her. If he managed to look at her for a few more seconds, he would probably recognize her and try to kill her again. She looked down to where his hand was and saw the cut on his leg. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your leg? That looks like a pretty nasty cut." Kat said.

Ringo wondered what to say when the women asked about his leg, "My girlfriend likes to play with matches, I ran to grab a fire extinguisher and cut it up on a glass table." He said smiling and hoping the women would buy his lie. He bent down and tried to look under her hood but it caused it to cast more of a shadow.

Kat smiled and giggled. "Well you should tell your girlfriend that fire and glass don't mix." She turned around and took a deep breath in relief. She walked up to the cashier and started paying for the chips and water. "Thanks." She said taking the bag. Kat walked outside and sat down on the curb. She took off her backpack and unzipped it then started putting in the snacks. She opened one bag and started to munch on some chips. She needed some mediocre fuel before walking again.
