Ringo smiled, "Wish I could, she ran away before I could say anything else." he said and when it was his turned payed for the supplies and walked out. He saw the same hooded lady sitting down on the curb, he walked over to her. "Hey, I was wondering. Would you possibly want to go out some time." he asked thinking that she was a fun person to talk to and he wanted to get to know her more.

Kat looked up and smiled softly. "I don't think your girlfriend would appreciate you asking out some other girl. So thanks, but no thanks. I'm leaving town today, my house had some weird fire so I'm going away. Going somewhere far, far away." She said as she stood up. "but if I was hanging around here I definitely would take you up on that. I think you just caught me at a bad time." She shrugged once, threw her bag over herr shoulder and starting walking out of the parking lot.

Ringo thought about what she had said as she got up and started walking away, "Wait a minute." he said the only fire that he had heard about was the one of the lady. He got up and ran over and stood in front of her, "I think you would have had me, if you not had said the thing about the fire." he said smiling and looking at her.

She froze when he jumped in front of her. "Damn, I should have kept my mouth shut. You know I actually tried to leave. But then that lady got in the way and stepped on my foot. Then I made it out and I was hoping you wouldn't stop to talk to me at the curb. So, what's the real reason you cut your leg?" She asked placing her hand on her hip.

Ringo smiled, "The real reason I cut my leg was when I jumped the fence at your place and piece of it caught my leg." he said folding his arms across his chest and starring at her. "So, I can already assume the real reason for turning me down was that you didn't want me to find out it was you, but since I already found that out. My offer still stands."

Kat blinked a few times at first, then smiled softly. "Seriously? You actually want to go out sometime? That's nice. But, I was also being honest when I said that I was leaving town. I mean think about it. I burned my own house down and your boss is definitely looking for me. I really can't afford to stay around for very long. A motel would be too risky, too many cameras. The same applies to just walking around. I can't walk around all night and hope I don't get shot." She started to explain.

Ringo smiled, "Thought you were fun to talk to, still do as a matter of fact." he said. He listened to all of the reason's she wouldn't be able to and smiled, "You can leave if you want, but my boss doesn't really pay attention to my movement's so if we went out say tonight around 7, He wouldn't even notice." he said smiling and handing her a card. "If you change you mind here is my number, though I might still have to follow you since I do have a job to do." he said smiling and walking to his car.

Kat took the card from his hand and looked at it in her own. She tapped it against her palm repeatedly while biting her lip. She laughed at his last remark. "You will never get the chance to hun." She smiled and started walking down the sidewalk again. Maybe it wouldn't hurt her to stay until about 9 or 10 o'clock. She could always buy a bicycle and shorten the amount of time it would take to get somewhere new. She headed over to the rec center and sat down in the bleachers, while thinking.

Ringo got in his car and drove home, he went inside and called his boss letting him know that the women had escaped him and probably had left town but he would be looking to see if it was a false trail she had left or if it was the real thing. When he was done he went and laid down on his bed with his phone next to him so he wouldn't have to run downstairs if she called. He closed his eyes and drifted off into a light sleep, if anything he at least had given her a head start.

Kat played with the card that had the number printed on it. She took a deep breath then pulled out her phone. She had made up her mind. She dialed Ringo's number and listened to her breathing in the reciever. She played with a loose string on her dark skinny jeans. She was having a mental fight against herself as she listened to the phone ring.
