Ringo smiled, "Would rather be making my own decisions for once, all I ever did was listen to him because I had to. But now, I am in charge of my life." he said taking a drink from his bottle of water. "I would rather have that then any promotion, and I can handle them."

[Tabbi]

"Yeah, maybe. But personally, I don't want to have to find out if you can or not. I like you, and I don't want to see you get hurt because you're with me." She sighed softly and took a sip of her water.

[Platinum cobra]

Ringo sighed, "That's my decision though to help you, I know there is risk but if I found out you died and there was something that I could have done." he said stopping and sighing sadly, "I don't know what I would do."

[Tabbi]

Kat looked up at him from underneath her lashes. "But...But you barely know me. Why would you risk your life for someone you just met less than 24 hours ago? I don't think anyone is that special that you lay your life down on the line for them as soon as you meet them."

Ringo looked at her, "Trust me, I don't know either why I would do it really. What I do know is that if I don't and something happens I will blame myself, I am still trying to figure out why though." he said taking another sip of his water and looking at her.

Kat smiled warmly. "I think it's just because you are a really sweet guy. You are probably some girl's Prince Charming. I'm actually really glad I met you, even though it was under some pretty bad circumstances."

Ringo looked at her and smiled, "Actually I don't have anybody like that in my life, and even though the circumstances were bad I am still glad that I met you also."

She raised her eyebrow slightly. "Really? That's rather hard to believe, but okay. I'm almost afraid to actually fall asleep. I feel that I soon as I'm asleep they are going to come." She said with a small shudder.

Ringo looked at her, "Yeah really." he said sadly, "You can go to sleep, I will stay up and stand watch," he said looking at her, "and don't worry anything happens and I will wake you up."

"You need sleep too. I mean come one, you were just about asleep over there on the couch less than five minutes ago. You should rest. I'll be okay for another couple of hours. Believe me, I know how much my body can take."
