Digimon - Digital Crash [IC - High Cas.]

Corentin snickered and rubbed the bridge of his nose, he looked at PawnChessmon and grinned. "Échec et mat." His voice and french accent had a tang towards it. He laughed as PawnChessmon shook his head, though not saying a word Corentin could tell he was upset, "Je vous ai dit que je n'allais pas facile pour vous!"]PawnChessmon nodded, and cleared off the chess table.
They both rose and pushed their chairs back, Cory looked around his chambers. Each foriegn agent was given a dorm for their stays. His room door was labeled in french Corentin Ferreira - Agent Français, he had said he could speak in Japanese, as he was trained, as well as English but they didn't listen. The agent tugged on the half open door and walked out, he glanced around the corridors knowing not where he was or how he had gotten to his dorm. His beckoned PawnChessmon to follow, so he did. He turned left down the hallway instinctively, and PawnChessmon pointed the other way but Corentin ignored him and wandered aimlessly down the narrow passage ways. PawnChessmon sighed but followed, he couldn't allow him to get lost.

After a couple minutes PawnChessmon tugged on Corentin's uniform, he looked down at his partner and nodded as he pointed at the elavator. They walked over to it but suddenly a voice came though the overhead speakers, "デジタルワールドへの旅を表現するすべての国際的なエージェントはセクター15-B、中央制御室に報告するように言われます。私は繰り返し、デジタルワールドへの旅を表現するすべての国際 的なエージェントはセクター15-B、中央制御室に報告するように言われます。" Corentin slowly picked out familiar words but then a different voice came overhead, "All international agents representing the trip to the Digital World are told to report to Sector 15-B, Main Control Room. I repeat, all international agents representing the trip to the Digital World are told to report to Sector 15-B, Main Control Room." He understood the English very clear. Then it repeated two or three times, Corentin listened in just in case any other information was being revealed but nothing changed.
The two ran towards the elavator and it slowly opened. He stepped in the elavator and looked at the button panel labeled all in Japanese. He was a fairly good translator but Japanese was weak with him. He sighed and rubbed his face, shaking his head. He looked at the buttons. After a minute or two he found Sector 15-B and double checked. He pressed on it and sighed, hoping he was heading in the right direction. The elevator seemed to move rather slow but they stopped and the door opened. They stepped out precariously, knowing not what this was for and glanced around. They weren't leaving for another day, did something come up?

Corentin frantically ran down the corridors until finally finding the control room. He swallowed hard and stepped up nervously, PawnChessmon followed. He knocked lightly on the door but it oppened upon touching it. He walked in slowly but surely and looked for a higher authority but found nothing. Was he in the right room? Was it only a drill? He glanced at the computers, and found people deep in their work. He knew not to bother them so he stood their contently waiting for approval to move forward.

The sound of jetwash slowly faded into the distance. As the crowd of Japanese travelers thinned, a single stranger, pulling a small, dark wheeled suitcase was revealed. He looked out towards the glass doors, where a stately man in a suite and sunglasses stood, holding a sign which, among lines of various characters, read 'Sylvan'. The boy leaned his head slightly back, placing his hand on the pair of circular glasses he wore for travel. The light glinted from the tinted lenses as he placed them on his collar.
"Badge please," the man asked in rather stoic Japanese.
Wordlessly, the boy reached into his pocket, flashing a red shaded ID card with his photo in the center. The man nodded, lifting a briefcase, and leaving. With a slight shrug, the youth strolled on, entering an awaiting black sedan along with the man. Inside there was another, who welcomed the foreigner inside. The second man nodded, and with a tip of his hat, the driver pulled out.
"So, what am I in for?" he asked casually.
"Arekusandā Kaizā Shiruvuan. Watashitachiha, Nihon ni anata o kangei shimasu. Anata wa sugu ni kichi ni hitsuyō to narudearou. Anata ga Sekutā Fifutīn-B de hitsuyō to sa rete iru yō ni, watashitachi to issho ni kite kudasai. Go taizai o o tanoshimi kudasai," the man said.
    "What?" Alexander replied.
He had been totally lost by that. He knew a little Japanese, but all he caught was some scraps of things that didn't make any sense.
"What are you almost done?" he asked.
However, what he meant was 'What are you saying'?. Yeah... his Japanese wasn't the best.

    "デジタルワールドへの旅を表現するすべての国際的なエージェントはセクター15-B、中央制御室に報告するように言われます。私は繰り返し、デジタルワールドへの旅を表現するす べての国際 的なエージェントはセクター15-B、中央制御室に報告するように言われます。"
"All international agents representing the trip to the Digital World are told to report to Sector 15-B, Main Control Room. I repeat, all international agents representing the trip to the Digital World are told to report to Sector 15-B, Main Control Room," the hall speaker blared.
A young boy looked up to the speakers.
"What?" he wondered aloud, "Inter... nashio...", "Ah, internazionale."
He then lifted up the small map, looking carefully at it.
"Now, where am I going?" he mumbled.

    "C'mon, Jill, hurry!"

The Flamemon dashed down the hall shortly after the announcement was made - upon realizing that his tamer wasn't following closely behind, he stopped and turned around, rocking on the spot. She was still walking calmly down the hall, taking care to politely greet the personnel she passed. Flamemon huffed. "At this rate, we're going to be past-late!" She finally reached his side and patted him gently on the shoulder with a smile.

"Flamemon, we really need to do something about that anxiety." Flamemon averted his gaze from her with a chuckle.

"I still think you're barking up the wrong tree. That'd mean I'd worry about anything!" He made a quick spin, getting away from her hand, and resumed his dash down the hall, glancing over his shoulder at his tamer, Jill. "Me, worry, those aren't two words you'll hear together in a sentence-" In his hurry, he didn't pay attention to the hallway before him - nor to the V-mon emerging from one of the side corridors. There was enough time for an angry shout before the two digimon collided and hit the ground. Only then did Jill finally start running to catch up. Flamemon put a palm on the floor as he rubbed his forehead. He didn't have much time to recover before V-mon pulled her leg between her stomach and Flamemon's and kicked him of of her. He hit the floor once more with a grimace as V-mon hopped to her feet. Her upper lip twitched.

"どこに行くつもりなウォッチ!" Flamemon looked up at V-mon - he didn't understand what she was saying, but it didn't sound nice. He glanced to Jill. Jill stood a short distance away, observing. He knew that look. He wasn't paying much attention to V-mon, until-

"私にあなたが馬鹿に聞く!" He turned to see V-mon running at him, a fist raised. He cringed, raising his hands to protect himself. That was when the young man ran out of the same side corridor and tackled V-mon to the ground. She struggled under his weight. Flamemon watched, more than a bit confused, as the young man managed to stand up, holding up V-mon under her arms. What surprised him more was the sudden shift in language - V-mon was now speaking English.

"-that rat bastard knocks me down, I want a piece of him right now!"

"Yeah, Vaddírassgat-mon, that sounds like a good plan, we'll just pick a fight before we even get to the control center." He rolled his eyes and tightened his grip. Flamemon didn't think the V stood for...whatever he had just said. Still, he had just saved him. He scrambled to his feet, a bit shakily.

"Uh, thanks - it was an accident, didn't mean to do that." He paused for a moment and then awkwardly bowed. It seemed like the best thing to do. The young, man, however, merely raised an eyebrow.

"Alright...so, uh-" He glanced at Jill and was silent for a moment. Flamemon could see her expression hadn't changed at all. This was going to be interesting, at best. "-uh, you did just see that, right? You...don't have any reaction to my digimon trying to harm yours? At all? I mean, she did-" Jill then raised a hand and pointed to V-mon.

"Anger issues, possibly stemming from feelings of inadequacy-"

    "Excuse you, bitch?"

"Hey, makes sense to me-" Jill then pointed to the young man.

    "Possible depressive issues."

"Hvað í andskotanum?" Jill didn't answer, instead walking past the two digimon and the human. Flamemon watched her pass and then glanced back to the V-mon and (presumably) her tamer.

"...she's a good person." He then ran after her before the young man decided to let his V-mon go. It didn't take long at all to catch up, just in time to join her on the elevator to Sector 15-B.

    --

V-mon glanced up at the human and smirked.

    "Depressive issues, huh, Earthly guide?"

"At least I don't need anger management."

    "Bite me."

    "Don't tempt me."

Corentin swiveled his head around as he heard a door open, though it seemed to be no one special as they went to work at their computers. PawnChessmon looked at his tamer, they seemed to be wondering the same thing; What were they doing here and why this early?

"Kon'nichiwa, Corentin-san." A female DSS representitive greeted Corentin. He turned quickly to see a lady standing behind him.

"M-Miss Minako, I thought you said we'd be leaving tomorrow. Has something came up? It's fairly late, what is it 9-" He stumbled with his words before he was interrupted by PawnChessmon, who rarely ever talked.

"私のパートナーのために私が謝る、彼はかなり神経質になっている。彼は、同様に私のように、我々がここに いる理由を知っていただきたいと思います." He picked his words fairly well.

    "Thank you, PawnChessmon."'' Corentin mumbled.

The representitive smiled, "I like your Japanese, but English is fine. I called you here for urgent training and a message, or a gift of sorts. I'll wait the rest to arrive." Corentin nodded, still nervous.

    ***

An older teenager jogged down the hall ways of DSS, though not in a rush. She skidded to a hault while her Digimon partner slid into a door. Not realizing her partner stopped.

"This way, Leormon!" The Lion-like monster charged after the blonde girl.

"I'm coming!" She replied, they had just heard the announcment and started jogging to get faster ground. If they had rushed they'd have gone the wrong way, though they seemed to be taking a longer way around the HQ.
They reached a set of stairs and started their way up them. They started to gain spead as they trodded up the stairs. Finally Section 15-b came into sight and right before they had reached the door Leormon started to slide and hit the back of Charlee's legs. They both fell and made shape into a pile on the floor.

The boy continued on, so engrossed in trying to find Sector 15 that he wasn't paying attention to where he went. He was so engrossed, in fact, that he didn't notice the boy whom had just fallen himself moments ago, until he bounded off of his back. He made a strange, strangled squeal sound, flailing his arms about uselessly as he fell to the ground. When he finally looked up, dizzy from his fall, he leaned forward a bit.
"Um... sorry," he offered, his accent thick.
He smiled slightly, and blinked, then leaned in, his eyes widening.
"Woah," he continued in Japanese, "Is that a Digimon?" he exclaimed, "Cool! What kind? Awesome! Is that your partner?"
    -----
"So let me get this straight- There's some meeting I have to go to just because I'm an international agent, and... then what?" Alexander summarized.
"Yes, then you meet your partner Digimon and begin missions, depending on orders," the man in the suit replied.
"Excellent," the youth muttered to himself, leaning back in his seat, and causing the light from the car's glass to glare from his sunglasses.
    -----
A girl in a short black skirt and an open jacket leaned back against the walls of the Digital Secret Security Division Headquarters. She tossed back her medium length hair, looking to the speakers.
"So, the new internationals are meeting... this'll be fun," she mused.
Slowly she stood, and sauntered to an elevator that was just outside the labs. She was feeling fresh, rejuvenated, and ready to do something, so, she figured that she may as well pop into the meeting and see what the new recruits were about and all that. She leaned against the elevator door, then swiped her ID card. The screen pad flashed, displaying a name readout and several other illegible characters.
    'LayLA D.I.A.S.'
With a puff of a sigh, she flipped her bangs from her face, pressing the down button on the elevator. It was not long before it opened, and she stepped within. There, she saw Kotemon. More specifically, the Kotemon who had joined the DSSD in a rather disgruntled manner quite recently. She looked down at the small Digimon, but knew better than to speak with him. The elevator stopped a few floors down, and the Kotemon left, shuffling down the hall in a rather dignified manner for such a short reptilian Digimon. The door closed again, and she continued her descent.
    -----
He really didn't have time to wait. Kotemon walked further down the halls, finding the elevator that was more or less closest to Sector 15 B, to which he had been summoned. He pressed the call button, and tapped his foot as he waited. He could tell from the lights that the elevator which was approaching was already occupied, but it made little difference.

The elevator took a bit too long, in Flamemon's opinion, as he shifted his weight, waiting for it to stop. Jill said his anxiety had caused him to turn anything he couldn't say into movement. Flamemon genuinely doubted that - if that was true, he had a lot to say then - but she meant well and he wasn't going to say no. The elevator 'ding'ed, and the two stepped out. The elevator immediately closed after them, presumably called back up by another agent. The control room was easy to find. Flamemon ended up letting himself in without knocking, and Jill decided to follow suit when no alarm went off. The agents at the computers barely held her attention - the young man next to the Pawnchessmon, he did. She could tell, he seemed tense. Was he always like that, or had the circumstances of arrival caused it? It was worth investigating. She approached him, hands at her sides to keep her posture as neutral as possible and not noticing that Flamemon had failed to follow behind. He didn't look Japanese - she'd prefer to use English, so hopefully he understood it. If not, they were truly sunk.

    "Greetings. Are you an agent?"

    --

The young man was about to suggest they keep moving before something fairly solid collided with him. He stumbled forward as V-mon snickered. He turned, bracing himself for some nicety about accidents and apologies. He wasn't disappointed - at least, he assumed not, he didn't speak...whatever that language was and, unlike V-mon, his grasp of Japanese didn't let him catch everything the kid said. All he caught was the apology and something about the digimon beside him. He guessed asking what kind. He opened his mouth to answer.

    "Yeah, she's a V-mon."

"I'm not his digimon, he's just my Earthly guide."

V-mon answered the same time he did. He glowered at V-mon. She smirked back. Well, the kid probably hadn't heard then...

    "She's V-mon, and-"

"I'm the one who actually gets anything done here. He just points out the obvious."

    God damn it all.

    "Are you really-"

"My tamer only really speaks Icelandic and English, he doesn't understand much Japanese."

"You're seriously going to talk over me."

"So it's easier just to ask me the questions."

"Þetta sé hvers vegna þú ert Vaddírassgat-mon."

"And to answer your other question, I'm V-mon, general ass-kicker extraordinaire." She grinned cockily. The young man felt no guilt in 'accidentally' stepping on her tail, and again went unsurprised when she casually mule-kicked his shin. Not to say it didn't hurt.

Corentin sighed and looked at PawnChessmon as the represetitive casually walked away, "Oh, je déteste parler à une autorité supérieure..." PawnChessmon nodded, as well he smiled, though it was not noticable under his helmet. Corentin smiled hesitantly and swallowed hard and noticed that the lady had gone to a computer occasionally glancing up. Most likely to see if anyone else came. He looked away and started over to chair but PawnChessmon tugged on his jacket. He looked down at him and gave him a look of confusion. Then the black Digimon pointed his lance over to the door he came through and there waited a girl. She had darker skin then he and she wore a DSS outfit. Then she spoke, it seemed to be at him and he nodded, he stood fairly straight not knowing if she was keen on posture, though it seemed she was. He slowly walked over to her, almost losing all of his nervousness, which was odd considering she was a stranger to him.
He knew she spoke English, though she seemed to be of a different nationality. "Yes, as are you? I suppose you're an international agent?" He asked, incse she hadn't noticed his nod.

Michelangelo scratched the back of his head. The way they acted was rather confusing to him. They were not being so polite.
"Please, um... do not argue," he replied hesitantly.
The boy pulled his jacket closer to himself. Even though his uniform was about the smallest size they had, it still didn't fit him right. The sleeves were a tad too wide, and the body was much too large, creating bulges and wrinkles.
"Um, who are you?" he asked, not so steady with his English.
    -----
Alexander removed his glasses as he stepped from the limo. The wind caught his black hair and tossed it back as he walked slowly forth, the car pulling away. He drew a small card closer to his eyes, viewing the red highlighted route to the meeting room. He entered the building, referring to the card once again before finding an elevator. He pressed the button, and once it arrived, entered, not caring whether it was occupied or not.

The young man exhaled sharply. Well, if V-mon kept quiet this time, then there'd be no need to argue. He shot her a glare. She stuck her tongue out in response. He hoped that'd be the last of it, at least until after this meeting they had to attend.

"As I wanted to say: I'm her tamer, Valdi." He waited a second for her snide rebuttal. When none came, he blinked. Well. That was an improvement. "I'm from-"

"Earthly guide." His eyelid twitched, and he took a deep breath to keep himself from grabbing her. Right.

"Anyways, I take it you're looking for Sector 15B too? I think I know which way to go."

"You'd be a lousy guide if you didn't."

"Also, we argue because it's all I can do to not spay her with my bare hands."

"Isn't that a bit graphic?" He sputtered at V-mon's words.

"Compared to what you said to me this morning? Are you KIDDING?" V-mon blinked, and then grinned.

"Yeah, that was a good one." Valdi grabbed V-mon by the arm and began walking down the corridor to the elevator.

"As I was saying, if you want Sector 15B, gotta go this way-" As the single elevator came into view, he saw someone stepping in. Crap. "Hey!" He began running, V-mon getting dragged along due to the lack of warning. "Hey, can you hold that for a moment!" V-mon's cursing didn't bug him at the moment.

    --

The agent with the Pawnchessmon seemed to relax as he approached her - that small detail had not escaped her notice. Interesting. It seemed like his tension had been circumstantial. Logical enough. Though perhaps who he had talked to previously had a hand in it. It would be worth investigating further. As for his question...

"Yes, and that is my partner." She indicated to Flamemon, who had at last noticed her absence and scrambled to her side. "Flamemon, Rookie level, some anxiety problems." Flamemon flinched as she spoke. He should have expected that, though. Jill seemed to have missed it as she extended her hand to be shook. "My name is Gillian Rayne. You may call be Jill, however. Have they explained to you why we have been called here? Out of curiosity."

PawnChessmon silently stepped forward, in an eerie way... almost. He walked over to the Flamemon and placed his right arm over his stomach region, then came into a bowing position. He did so and expected Flamemon to do the same, though PawnChessmon was fairly formal compared to most. Waiting for a reply from the Digimon, he paid no attention to his partner who was replying to the lady in front of him.

Corentin nodded and chuckled slightly, though that DSS representative seemed shady to him. and it stayed in the back of his thoughts. "Nice to meet you, Flamemon," He seemed to curve his French accent to a more American style, so it would be understandable, "This is PawnChessmon, as you probably noticed he is of the black variant. It's rare to catch him talk and if it is, it's in Japanese. Though he does know English..." Corentin scratched his head in confusion, "Oh and I'm Corentin. She said to wait until everyone else got here... Also, did you hear a thud outside of the door earlier?" PawnChessmon nodded, despite the question was directed toward Gillian.
