Gaea, a world that was born after the Arcadian Era had ended, has enjoyed a peaceful lifespan that has lasted for over ten thousand years. Though this beautiful lush blue planet has enjoyed a sheltered life outside other influence in the Universe due to its position in its solar system is now faced with hardship. A series of towers that are located at the planet's vital points which survived even when the Arcadian Era came to an end have been malfunctioning due to some strange occurrence that cannot be explained. The Radatia, energy that is used to produce life for the planet has become contaminated with the Ragna, the planetary fuel that keeps the planet alive that can be easily extracted from the planet's core via its vital points. This has led to an abnormality in the Esir, the air in which humans use to breathe, causing the planet to creep toward the brink of destruction.
It was the depletion of the Esir in the Arcadian Era that lead to the destruction of the world before Gaea even existed. The fault did not lie with the Arcadians. The fault of the destruction of Arkaya was the fault of the humans who continued to starve and greed for power by using ancient principles and forbidden ideas proposed by the Arcadians. One of these forbidden technologies was the Egis or a special bracelet that was created that allowed beings who can wield magic to amplify the control over the power. The special accessory's Egis absorbed the Radatia from atmosphere and converted it into Esir, the special fuel living organisms breathe in to power them. These Egis allowed for even humans or beings that couldn't normally use magic to be able to wield magic without restriction. Though these Egis were powerful weapons of mass destruction, they caused an imbalance in the Esir in both the Radatia and Ragna leading toward Arkaya's destruction.
History has a strange way of repeating itself. When those who colonized themselves on Gaea who fled from Arkaya before its destruction resurrected the ancient technology which destroyed Arkaya leading toward the downfall of the great Arcadian civilization. Again, humans put to use the Egis once again, but this time they would do something that they would soon regret. The Esir on Gaea became so unstable from the overuse of the Egis that a rift was opened between the Netherworld and the Physical Plane allowing Ragnanite Demons to flood lose from the cavity created by the unstable Esir.
This gave birth to Egis Hunters who looked for unstable Egis and seal their power using an Egis Weapon that is capable of controlling and manipulating the Esir. They also haunted by monsters created by the unstable Esir and Ragnanite Demons that threatened society.

Humans are the largest sub-population of Gaea. Their evolution from mere mammals into one sentient species, was one but that was so sudden that it seemed like it transpired overnight, raising many questions amongst the other races, as to the truth of their origins and how they came to be. Humans are the relative species of the primate race with an intelligence that even surpasses that of the primates. The human academic community maintains they too are one of the original sentient species of their world, sometimes declaring themselves superior over all other species. This view though, is not usually shared by researchers among the Elves and Sylvan, who say that there is no conclusive evidence of their existence in the ancient fossil record. Human idealists suggest a teleological reason for the emergence of one species from so many disparate groups, that it marks humanity as a necessity toward the step in some divine evolutionary initiative.
Most are ill-equipped to live in the wild, they adapt by developing new standards such as new technologies which alter the environment to their benefit. This often puts them at odds with nature, sometimes even harming or destroying it, and with other nature-reverent species such as the Elves and Sylvan, who regard their sudden emergence and proliferation as a threat to the natural order of Mother Nature. Elves and Sylvan have cast humans as heretics who declare war on other groups in order to achieve their ultimate goal domination of the world they live in. They decree humans often use techniques such as propaganda to stir up problems with their opposition so that they can defeat them with ease. Humans to both of these groups are considered dangerous to the society of their races and endanger many other species with their fluctuating technology. They are often deemed as evil-doers by both these races and usually both, will have no outside connection with them trying to remain neutral outside the influence of their society. Humans tend to have mixed beliefs about religion. Some are monotheists, while others are duotheists or even polytheists. Quite a few follow under some of the most popular religions established back in ancient times such as the Church of Zoroaster though to many are known as an extremist religious group that persecutes other religious sects. Others like the elves and sylvan alike are believers in polytheism. The most popular of the polytheist religions is The Exodus formed by a group of humans, elves and sylvan and other beings alike that believe that there were more than one or two supernatural beings in the hand of the creation of their Universe and their world thus they made the Church of the Eternal. The Church of the Eternal's main practice is to respect Mother Nature and everything it gives life to. They believe Mother Nature is the voice of their divine entities. Many have called it the Voice of the Deities and their responses toward those who believe in them. The Church of the Eternal widely worships various Deities especially the ones that maintain the equilibrium of the world of Gaea. It was one of the main focuses on the idea of polytheism in Gaea since a lot of religions tend to persecute anyone who followed the idea. Despite their efforts to spread polytheism around Gaea, these religious activists are usually persecuted by The Revelation and other religious sects that denounce ideas of polytheism.
Humans are incapable of harnessing magic, but there have been methods used to allow them the ability to use magic. One of the most extreme and forbidden methods is known as genetic engineering or otherwise known as genetic modifying. This science allows for scientists to implant glyphs or even Ibeni or Ethera into their subjects body giving them the ability to use supernatural phenomena. Those who have been genetically modified are classified as Regia or demigod. In turn, this means they have transcended the capacity and capabilities of a normal human.

Genetically modified humans who have been given the ability to use magic through the science known as genetic engineering or otherwise called genetic modifying. Others have had a glyph or Ibeni or Ethera forcefully into their body. They have come to know these transcended humans as Regia or demigods. Humans who have been implanted with Ibeni or Ethera are known as Invokers while humans who have been genetically modified allowing them the use of magic are known as Enforcers. Invokers do not have the ability to use magic themselves, but when they summon their counterpart or combine with them they are then allowed to use magic. Invokers have not been genetically modified unlike the Enforcers. Invokers often can fall victim to Possession, a naturally caused disease from not being compatible with their Ibeni or Ethera where their counterpart acts like a parasite using their body to do whatever they desire. Those who are infected with Possession can be zombies that have no human emotion or bloodthirsty assassins or killers. Next is the Enforcers though extremely powerful are sometimes plagued with Regyle, a disease which feeds upon the elemental composition in their body. This disease though uncommon causes Enforcers to become violent and engage into criminal activity. Lastly, there are the Believers who are Regia who have had a glyph implanted on their body which allows them to use magic. The glyphs are known to suck the energy out of the body though and those who have implanted themselves with these glyphs have to take life-extending agents. Glyphs which have not been sprayed down with Thurana, a liquid obtained from Etherium Crystals, have been known to be diagnosed with skin diseases. The most common is Skyreaphia which causes their body to be covered with blue or purple streaks or marks that are permanent on their skin.

Once a legendary race who ruled over a planet known as Arkaya, these beings were quite efficient in magical studies and built some of mankind’s many wonders especially one known as the Tree of Yggdrasil or the Tree of Origin. This tree allowed them to unlock the hidden scientific magic they call Psionics. This allows them to connect to the Tree of Yggdrasil which is a medium used for them to understand the world they are on. Salecians were technologically advanced and invented structures that even the Arcadians could never understand. They are considered one of the very first races in existence alongside the Arcadians and Phaedrians. Many think they were behind the formation of the planet Arkaya and may have caused the phenomenon that created Gaia. They are considered a race that came from another planet according to Arkayan texts that Arcadians recorded while in contact with them. Their intelligence exceeded that of almost every being in existence and their power can be easily measured on the level of the Children of the Eclipse, known as The Chosen Ones by the Salecians. Arcadians believe due to the planet’s effects, that Salecians could no longer use their telekinetic powers and thus is why they built the Tree of Yggdrasil. These are beings born from the forbidden science known as replication or reproduction. Religious sects have absolutely no respect for these beings as they seem them as anomalies and are deemed abominations of their god or gods. Though in some cases since they have mind of children and are easy to train, some have surpassed the abilities of their original. Automata cannot be replicated through this process since they are artificially created in most cases though there are exceptions. Other races that cannot be reproduced through this method are Phaedrians, Arcadians, Salecians and Children of the Eclipse. Repros can learn forms of magic that their previous predecessors could never use or never learned to use. Their ability and willingness to learn puts them on a playing field of their own. They are one of the original sentient species of the world, and are credited by many as one to have established one of the earliest organized societies. They are the originators of the arts of magic and summoning, having passed down the knowledge to select humans who they deem worthy over the years. For reasons unknown, elves have renounced civilization, abandoning their fantastic cities to create a new life closer nature. One of the original species of the world, the Sylvan are a race of plant-like creatures which incorporate great diversity, including even a number of humanoid like forms. Like the Elves, they too lived on the world prior to the rise of the Harken. Whilst they relied on material food for sustenance like the other races, they are also photosynthetic. Unlike humans, they do not breathe in oxygen, but rather carbon dioxide just like their relatives the plants and trees that make up the world. Their abilities are greatly enhanced during the daylight hours where the sun bathes down on them as a result so they can gather the energy of the sun and store it. It is because they act like solar generators that these species powers can surpass that of a human, with being able to release enormous amounts of energy and can wield magic a lot easier than that of humans or elves. They also possess a beauty that is revered by all other races, and are naturally gifted negotiators.

They are known widely across the world for their unique synergetic craftsmanship, blending technologies borrowed from other races or even previous races as well as their own original works. Finding it difficult to live amongst the humans and meta-humans, due to exploitations of their diminutive size, and because of their "bug-like" appearance, most Lilia retreated to underground habitats outside the society of humans and their sectors dealing with the people of the surface world through liaisons. A large number of them have found ideological brethren in the castaways of society, collaborating with them to build under-city amongst the city's abandoned aqueduct system. During the Age of the Phaedrians, they were often persecuted for their supernatural strength where they were usually ridiculed as being uneducated creatures, which was seen as a "threat to prosperity” and due to their alliance with the Harken during that civilization's last stand. Many were killed off, and the rest were driven into hiding never to return to their homelands. They currently at this time thrive in several confederated cities scattered across the world, yet known collectively as Jotunheim. The locations of these refugees are unknown to this date. Occasionally Jotuns appear amongst the mainstream populous to offer unique cutting edge technologies to the highest bidder. They usually only remain for a short time as their appearance can at most given times cause quite a stir amongst those in public or society.

These humanoids can survive falls and even jump down from higher than any normal human could ever do. Those who undergo the procedure to become a Machuna do not have their emotions affected. The procedure is quite painful and can at times over time lead to cancerous diseases.

After setting in regions suited to their particular affinities, the Ethera each began to form their broods, - either by mating with neighboring species to create the "Born Ibeni" or by imbuing them with elemental power to create the "Blessed Ibeni”. Some can become Material Ethera that have mind and wills of their own. Some have been known to be criminals, themselves, preying upon other beings that have nightmares or causing bad dreams from synchronizing the thoughts inside the one they've targeted. Their skin doesn't rapidly burn away, it takes some time before it burns all the way to the bone, but it is recommended that they avoid any form of sunlight that becomes visible.

They are unaffected by most kind of highly advanced weaponry when it comes to guns due to their skin, but burn energy quicker than humans meaning they have to eat five or six course of meals a day to satisfy their appetite. Do not underestimate these close-combat types, they can be quite a force to be reckoned with and are not especially friendly if you provoke them into attacking you. They are no different than a human when it comes to looks. These beings can reach supersonic speeds with ease though they tend to eat more than an average human due to energy consumption. Their energy is consumed at phenomenal rates meaning they have to stop for something eat after extended travels. One of the original sentient species of Gaea, the Harken once dominated the entire world in ancient historical times. Their relationship to the other races analogous to that between gods and mortals. After their fall and the destruction of their civilization during the Phaedrian intervention, they scattered across Gaea, and shortly afterwards disappearing without even the slightest trace. The look of Harken could be explained as one that looked like a hideous octopus with legs and arms. A mysterious race that suddenly appeared during the dispute between Guardia and other nations. The origin of the Mahzok Demon race is unknown, but the group has lived in peace with humans for years. According to some researchers the Mahzok Demon race was created through practices of arcane magic known as Repro Magic and Demon Magic during the reign of the Guardia Kingdom. Some even believe the Cimmeria Empire may be continuing the monstrosities of the Guardia Kingdom. The Mahzoks can come in different varieties depending on their genes. These beings have wings like the Elves and Sylvan, but they bear demon like dark black wings on their back that look a lot like a bat's wings though there are differences. The leaders of the Mahzok demons are called the Eternal Seven. These figures are Levanthalus, Nephenthal, Sacropha, Necronus, Cassiopeia, Andromeda and lastly Lunaralia. The Mahzok demons formed the Underworlders Organization or the Underground Shadows so that they could ensure that peace reigned over Gaea. However some to this day have been known to act on their own ambition where now the Eternal Seven is now collapsing only leaving a few remnants of it to remain toward their initial goal. Some have formed anti-human groups that hate humans and live outside the human influence. Ever since the collapse of the Lumina Kingdom, the whereabouts of the Eternal Seven is unknown at this time. Some guess the group disbanded after the collapse losing their faith in humanity. Some believe they may be plotting revenge. The Mahzoks worship the God of Knowledge otherwise known as Thraanphal and are an establishment of monotheism. The Cathedral of Thraanphal is one of the largest churches in the world of Gaea and is widely respected by many. Though some of the Thraanphalian believers tend to clash with the Church of Eternia and the Church of Zoroaster when it comes to religion. Their belief is that the knowledge of their forefather was the chieftain belief of all living beings where he wanted them to install themselves with various knowledge to evolve themselves with it. They believe Thraanphal is the one who gave life to the two Deities highly respected by the Phaedrian race known as Hemera and Nyx.

The legendary Phaedrians, are often known to many as the "holy race". They are said to have come from an entirely different world from where the humans and other races live. They possessed supernatural physical and mental abilities that completely surpass all other races. These highly intelligent beings are even more intelligent than the most educated human being. It is said they could even take a form of that of even pure energy. The legends say that they intervened on behalf of the other races in order to end the tyrannous reign of the Harken. They would settle and colonize the world over the following centuries establishing a civilization all to their own. But in relatively short time, it too disappeared without a trace of evidence of its existence. Most of the Phaedrians are thought to have perished during an event known as the Great Collapse, while some historians maintain that the survivors fled Gaea and returned to their home world. There are sub races of the Phaedrian race known as the dragonites, harpies, ect. A lot of their technology is thanks to the Arcadian race. If an Arcadian scholar by the name of Reishin Primavalthera would have never delved deeper into the sophistication of scientific marvels, space travel and advanced technology wouldn’t be possible. Phaedrians didn't look that much different than their peers known as the Arcadians.

A sub race of Phaedrians that inherited dragon like features. They are dragons that take the forms of humans to hide their immense and enormous size. They are very extremely powerful creatures that surpass even the Jotuns in brute strength. These creatures have been known to transform into dragoons or dragon-like humans who are basically humans that have dragon-like wings. They usually keep their real identity a secret to almost everyone since they have been persecuted and enslaved before by races in previous times. This group is very religious, but unlike their Phaedrian counterparts believe in monotheism where they believe Sigma is their idol God. Sigma according to a lot of ancient texts was the original creator of the Universe though many have given him a new name, because of the fact they thought he would not want his name ever to be remembered. The Dragonite race on the other hand continues to refer to him by his original name though some question if he was male since his gender could never be proven. Sigma, known as "The Divine One" or "Progenitor" is the one the Dragonites worship building the Temple of Sigma in his memory. They think many races have forgotten the existence of this being and that the being should be honored. The Dragonite race established religion they call The Revelation. The Revelation movement is controlled by Oracles who believe that Sigma is the one divine being that gave life to everything. Some humans have been known to be a part of The Revelation and it is another religion which tends to clash with all the others. A very mysterious race that is in existence that no one knows how their existence came to be. There aren't very many records if any at all that speak of the Angelians and how they came into Gaea. Angelians have a lot of human like traits and features though they are called an angelic type of race due to their angel like wings they bare on their backs. They are a very religious race who honors their Mother of Creation they call Eternia or "The Eternal One" and their Father of Creation they call Forthal or "Fatherly One". The religion established by the Angelians believe in the system of duo theism, or two divine beings that were responsible for the creation of their world and the Universe. The most popular religious group in the Kingdom of Eden, the nation of the Angelians, are the Eternians or the followers of Eternia and Forthal. The Church of Eternia in the southern part of Gaea is one of the most famous religions around. Some deem it even the very first religion of Gaea since even humans seem to be followers of it. Unlike the Church of Zoroaster which believes in monotheism, the Church of Eternia believes in duo theism or two gods that brought about the existence of their planet. Eternia was called the Goddess of Life whereas Forthal was called the God of Death. It is believed that the one they call Eternia is the same one the Phaedrians called Hemera and that Forthal is the very same one the Phaedrians referenced as Nyx. Many believe that the Angelians are strong believers in ancient Phaedrian customs, because a lot of their holidays were similar to Phaedrian customs especially honoring the Fallen Ceremony held on the same day the Phaedrians held their St. Nyx Day which was a day they spent honoring the dead. They also believe that St. Magdalene was the savior of their planet who was a Phaedrian according to ancient texts that was the leader of the alliance that fought the axis allegiance of the Harken.

These are Angelians who have had their wings removed or have lost their wings. They are often rejected by their counterpart race and have isolated themselves in a society of their own. Though they live where Angelians are located, they are often hunted down by Angelians or turn into slaves by the race. Other races have been known to enslave these beings as well. Angelians who do not have the capability to fly due to their small and fragile wings are also classified under this race. They are quite unfriendly to the outer world due to other races oppressing them.

The Nedre race is believed to be a sub-race that branched off the elves. The race has a lot of features like their elven counterparts though they are not born with the wings that the elves have. Their pointy ears are usually half the length of that of an elf with some exceptions. Some believe that this race was the fusion of an Elf with a Phaedrian though no evidence could support this claim since no one can prove that the Phaedrians even existed after The Great Collapse. The Nedre race is a very intelligent race and is also stronger in build than the elves. Like the elves they have superior speed and dexterity where they can hit a target from almost a mile away with a bow. Unlike the elves, they have visionaire or insanely powerful depth perception where normal beings couldn't see beings from such great distances. A lot of Nedre practice spiritualism such as foretelling the past, the present and the future. One of their most renowned trades is Object Reading or the ability to read and object to foretell the history of an area. They read the thoughts around the object and decipher them so they can fully understand the nature of the past. Nedre have also been known to be able to wield forms of magic that even the humans could not fully understand. Most Nedre are studying the Phaedrian's research behind Radatia Magic which humans and other races still haven't found any evidence on how the magic works. Nedre also have established various magical academies where they spread their teachings and beliefs toward everyone. Like the Arcadians, they are also a part of the Church of Eternia and firm believers in duo theism. The Nekrians are a human like race that is mixed with mammals. The most common Nekrians are the feline-human like species and the Caanites are the dog-human like species. Mamalians are other race mixed animal like races. Unlike humans, Nekrians have keen smell and powerful hearing. Some have been known to even be able to read minds through telepathy. Quite a few have mastered the trade of psionics or psychokinesis. It is because of this they are called highly intelligent creatures, especially the felines that have mastered psionics. The feline-human like species has pointy cat like ears with a furry tail. The dog like ones unlike the feline ones have dog like heads. Not all Nekrians are peaceful with one another. The Felines and the Caanites have strongly opposed each other for years. Mainly due to the Caanites ruling with an iron fist and striking fear into its people's minds. The Felines have also been known to be intelligent builders where they can craft technology that even the humans haven't discovered yet. A powerful human like being with strong magical prowess. They exceeded the magical power of even the Phaedrian race. Considered the legendary race of past times. They were considered dangerous beings since the source of their magical power came from converting Gaea's Ragna into Esir to avoid using Radatia, a fuel source needed for all living beings to exist. Most are extinct since their home planet Arkaya was destroyed.
Update: Arcadian technology was Magitech based though they worked with some Ether-Tech. Since the mastermind behind all that is magic in the Universe Gaea is set is also an Arcadian and also developed the thesis behind most of the ideas used in most technologies, As aforementioned before, Ether-Tech was originally proposed by this expert scholar of the Arcadian race. Reishin Primavalthera. While his father developed the interior design meant to protect the Tree of Life, Reishin his son looked to revolutionize technology for all the people living on Arkaya at the time. Arcadians lifespans are all, but unpredictable and their life expectancy is immeasurable on most scales. Most are known to live five hundred to a thousand years at least. They do not age and are considered a perfect structure. Their skin composition is so complicated that not even scientists can explain why they do not age. Since Arcadians do not breathe in Esir, extracting it from the atmosphere has no effect on them. They breathe the neon based gas that acted as a shield to ward off the ultraviolet rays given off by the sun. Arcadians really look no different from humans.

A special breed of demon that is self-reliant on Ragna. It is attracted to anything that is made from Etherium or based on Arcadian technology. Some have even taken to attacking humans and absorbing their spiritual energy or Radatia and converting it into Ragna. There are two types of Ragnanite Demons, those who come from the Netherworld the most powerful kinds and those who were created through mutation of living beings. Since Ragnanites transmutations are unpredictable, they are considered shapeshifters with taking on any shape and form they please unlike other demon races like the Mahzoks.
Ragnanite Demons can come in many shapes and sizes. They can mimic the looks of a being they killed or take the form of powerful Egis Guardians like behemoths, chimeras, dragons, drakes, mindflayers, ect.

Deity Worship
There are many different gods worshiped by the various peoples of Gaea - such as the laborer gods of the Jotun, the trickster gods of the Lillia, and the Elementals of the clans. Whether or not these gods actually exist and intervene in the affairs of mortals is open to interpretation, but even after the advent of Zoroanism, belief in them remains as strong as ever. A lot of the races before the fall of the Harken fall under this. Some even after the fall continue to follow it closely - such as the Church of the Eternal a duotheist group and The Revelation a monotheist group - are fine examples of this. Followers of this religion reject both the Church of Zoroaster and Church of Magdalene calling them heretics.
History and legend generally agree that at some point during the reign of the Harken there was an intervention by otherworldly beings known as the Phaedrians, who appeared to free humanity and the other races from oppression. The leader of the Phaedrians who engineered the fall of the Harken was called Zoroa. He along with his wife Magdalene, engineered a foolproof plan to unite the other races from their enslavement. Those who believe that it was some through some divine will and power that he liberated the races, are known as "Zoroans", or followers of Zoroanism. The majority are humans.
Out of this belief in the savior emerged the Church of Zoroaster, whose mission since its founding has been to spread the gospel of Zoroa, and to see to the continued prosperity of humankind. The Church over the centuries has become the predominant and most powerful religious authority on the world. Due to some beliefs that clash with one another about the existence of Zoroa, the church has been divided. Especially the female part of it that was segregated due to male supremacy. Not all foundations of the Church of Zoroaster are this way; not even the main church - established by Maestro Theobald Rosenau, previous ruler of the Kingdom of Rosenguard. Duo theism is rejected by some of the members of the Church of Zoroaster - meaning the Church of Magdalene is seen as a heretical group like Symbolic Zoroanists and the True Believers Sect.
This is a group within the Church of Zoroaster that does not recognize the Church of Magdalene as a valid religion. They believe because Zoroa was a male that males have supremacy over females. Members within both churches see this group and its rival the Supreme Magdalenites as both heretics and religious extremists. Some deem them as terrorists causing havoc for other religious groups.
The Church of Magdalene and the Church of Zoroaster teach the same practices almost. Where as the Church of Zoroaster is more considered a male supremacy faction, the Church of Magdalene doesn't segregate either male or female. This faction believes it was the Phaedrians belief that all were equal in the eyes of their creator. That this was the will and intended nature of Zoroa and Magdalene. That no one was above the other and that all people should reach a hand out in society to aid one another.
Zoroa's wife, Magdalene is often recognized by the female part of society. She is considered a Goddess to females. That her elegance and beauty helped shape the land or that is what the females like to believe. Her intelligence and prowess in the heat of battle lead toward the fall of the Harken alongside her husband Zoroa.
Not all those who follow under this church are female. Some of its members are males; however, for the most part - this church is comprised of mostly females. The formation of the Church of Magdalene was sparked during the division of the churches. Like the Church of Zoroaster, there are those who are divided in the belief of Magdalene. Some believe she was an actual person who existed while other's believe she was a missionary - a Heaven sent child by their creator. To this day, she is still idolized by not only the female population, but the Angelian race also idolizes this goddess along with their god as two divine entities that worked together to nurture and harvest life.
While Magdalene in their sense is considered the one who nurtures life entitling her to the name Goddess of Life, their god Forthal is the one who they deem harvests life thus he's been given God of Death. These are the primary deities to the humans. Magdalene has other names such as Goddess of Fertility and Goddess of Creation. The Angelian race only follows the left side of the Church of Zoroaster. They deny all teachings that relate to Zoroa and deem them as heretic and those who practice these teachings in Angelic society are considered heathens. Those deemed as followers of the devil by the Angelians are burned at the stake. Even if it is their own companions - some are given the option of exile. The main Church of the Eternal is duo theist though there are humans who have transformed it into a polytheism idea angering the true members of the church.
The Church of the Eternal isn't recognized by the Church of Magdalene nor the Arcadian Church of Eternia and is considered a heretic group who deny the teachings of Zoroanism. Because of Angelians, the Church of Magdalene is now divided into two sections. The first group being the True Believers and the second The Rationals - considered The Radicals by the Angelian race due to their extreme views toward the Angelian race. The very first Church of Magdalene was founded by Marian Sebenthal and the Saterian Church of Magdalene was founded by Marenia Astarita.
These are the female extremists that believe that Magdalene alone was the savior of their world denying both teachings from the Church of Zoroaster and the Church of Magdalene. The group was formed by Saterian extremist who believe that Magdalene was sent by the Almighty One to save humanity. Some members of this group believe that females are supreme and above males.
The Arcadian's Church of Eternia existed way before the Church of Zoroaster or the Church of Magdalene. It was only slightly similar to the Angelian's Church of the Eternal. It was also considered one of the first duo theist cults in existence. Much like the Angelian and the Church of Magdalene, they also believed in duo theism or a god and goddess who gave birth to existence. Like the Angelians, they believed Eternia was the Goddess of Life and that Forthal was the God of Death. Since this religion existed before the times of Zoroa and Magdalene, neither are listed within the texts of its teachings or history. The true Church of Eternia was destroyed with Arkaya. A lot of its ancient teachings were lost. Those who follow this religion still do not adhere to any of the beliefs of either churches and deem their material as outrageous.
The very first Deity Worshiping church in existence. The Church itself was said to be started by one of the Children of the Eclipse, but it was proven later that was false. That the Church was actually founded by the Primavalthera family. Anastalia Primavalthera, mother to Reishin Primavalthera, founded the underlining for the Arcadian Church of Agnus Dei. Unlike other religions, this group of people believed only a select few were considered heaven sent and that they were always chosen by the Almagest.
The Agnus Dei were considered The Watchers by those who followed this church. These saviors are what they call the Children of the Eclipse. They were considered the agents of the gods and goddesses who did good deeds. It was the first polytheist group that ever existed, but all its practices aside from the book labeled Children of the Eclipse has been long lost due to Arkaya's destruction. Unfortunately, no one follows this religion anymore. Those who have deem it as heretical and thus have written books such as Children of the Darkness and Children of the Black Sun and Moon to ridicule the teachings this religion was based on. The Primavalthera family, is the only individuals who continue to follow this religion closely denying the others.
Although there is strong solidarity amongst members of the Church, especially with regards to its world mission, there is a distinct ideological split amongst its members with regards to the nature and existence of Zoroa himself. This has led to the emergence of two sub-sects - the Devout and the Rationalists that caused the division of the Church. Devout Zoroans believe that Zoroa was and is an actual physical person, who by way of his divine power has continued to live for thousands of years, and who continues to lead them from the Holy Kingdom of Windgrace. For the Devout, the Church itself only exists as a mechanism through which Zoroa transmits his will, and the clergy only has as much power as he has given them.
Rationalists also believe that Zoroa was an actual historical figure, but that he has long since ceased to exist in physical form. They believe that he ascended to a higher state of being, a divine state, and that he continues to watch over the world in spirit. For Rational Zoroans, the Praetors are the earthly authority on the world, who by way of a mystical connection with the spiritual Zoroa, rule the people by his will.
Symbolic Zoroanism, which is rejected by both the Churches as heretical, contends that Zoroa was never an actual physical being, but a symbol for the abstract powers of divine order and cosmic justice, which ordained that the oppressive reign of the Harken must come to an end. Although their views are controversial, Symbolic Zoroans consider themselves members of the Church, and respect its mission and its authority.
The Sect of True Believers is a heretical organization which also reveres Zoroa, but does not claim with any certainty whether or not he existed as a physical, spiritual, or symbolic entity. For the True Believers, however, Zoroa and the Phaedrians are merely a single aspect of a greater divinity. True Believers preach of a forthcoming day of judgment in which the entire world order will be leveled, to lay the new foundations for an ideal society. Until that day comes, its members devote themselves to moral lives, and often taking vows of poverty. The membership of the True Believers sect is very diverse, with people from all different races, nations, and classes following their ways. Like the Symbolic Zoroanist this group too is considered not a part of either churches.
Animism is the belief that there is a spiritual quintessence present within all things. Animists reject the teachings of the Zoroanism, at least as far as it involves any elevation of humankind above anything else on the planet. The Animists believe that people, animals, plants, rocks, the stars, the ocean - everything has a place in the cosmic order of the world and the universe, and it is only by achieving a harmony amongst these disparate elements that true prosperity can be attained. To be an Animist does not necessarily mean the denial of Zoroa's existence or his role in history or spiritual matters, but that he is only a small part of a much larger process. Animism is most common amongst Elves and Sylvans.
The Non-believers Sect believe neither a divine entity or being that they cannot see brought the Universe and its worlds into existence. Some are agnostic and question the beliefs of the other races while others are atheists. A vast majority of these believers idealize that it was by natural phenomena that gave life to the Universe and all that surrounds it. They deny teachings of all churches and believe in their own altruistic celestial bodies. While they do not consider these are divine entities though some have been known to refer to them as naturals or entities required for mortals to exist. The Non-believers Sect worship celestial bodies such as the stars, their own star, the moon, planets away from Gaea, ect. A lot of the followers of this religion are astronomers or scientists. This is not considered a form of religion by most religious individuals and is considered a form of Animism that is extreme.
A strange sort of "civil religion", nationalism is a general spirit of reverence for one's place of origin, or current homeland. The best example of nationalistic religion can be found in the Valguard Federation, where the citizens' belief in the sovereignty and greatness of their nation borders on worship. Although most of the people of Valguard would consider themselves secularists, their devotion to the country and their adherence to traditions suggests a sort of spiritual component to their ideology. The President of Valguard, while not worshiped in the religious sense, is greatly respected by most of the country's citizens. Although other nations are often skeptical of Valguard's global agenda, there is rarely any dissent within the nation itself. This kind of national devotion - also present to a lesser extent in other nations - thus becomes its own religion, although not necessarily in opposition to the other faiths.
The land of Sindel is said to be the place where Zoroa settled after liberating the weaker races from the oppressive reign of the Harken. Also known to humans and other races alike as The Holy Land. Following his will, humankind spread out from Sindel Aerie, and began to populate the entire planet, ushering in a new age of advancement and prosperity. The first apostles of Zoroa are said to have been the founders of the great civilizations that followed.
The Pilgrimmage, undertaken by Zoroans, Animists, scientists, and people of all beliefs, from every place on the world, is recognized as one of the most meaningful journeys a person can undertake. Even if one denies its sacred significance, there is much to be seen and appreciated in Sindel Aerie. It is a place where barriers of race, class, nationality, and belief all seem to break down - a place where everyone is welcome, and a place where anyone can find sanctuary. Non-believers often attest that there is a definitive mystical quality to the place, and even if they don't, there is no escaping the sense of awe that the place instills.

The techniques involved do not necessarily rely upon or adhere to the normal physical laws of the world. Magic relies upon the principles of chaos and probability, which makes it a dangerous and often unstable practice, but also extremely powerful. Unlike science and technology, which involve strictly learned disciplines, the use of magic often requires an innate ability.
Elemental Magic is the manipulation of the common known elements of Gaea such as fire, water, air (wind), earth (mountain) light (celestial) and dark (shadow). Elemental magic is a complex process that involves understanding the symbolism between the elements that affect Gaea giving it its natural beauty and using them toward the whim of the person who wants to apply the element as power or energy. In order to invoke an element to form it into magic, one must understand the natural beauty of the element and its symbolism inside their mind. This is usually performed when the elements that form your DNA or genetic code which is the morphology of the human body react with one another. When these elements react with one another they are drawn into the body where they are sent through the nervous system until they reach the brain where the synapses process the information into knowledge. That knowledge is then released in the form of a spell or magic that can effect the environment or atmosphere around the user. This form of magic is very dangerous and if not understood properly can wreak havoc and even devastation. Those who try to use it without fully understanding can also injure themselves or even destroy themselves with it. They can also cause harm to others if the magic or spell used goes out of control.
Elemental magic usually comes in six forms being fire magic, air magic, earth magic, water magic, light magic and dark magic. There are also other secret elements that hard to explain such as spirit otherwise known as aura magic which is a magic that comes from the life-force of a user. Another mystery element is aether which is another form of aura though not inside humans, but rather the aura that creates the entire Universe giving it shape and form. Other sub-elements such as electricity, sound and nature are other forms of elements.
Alchemy is the transmutation of not only metals, but any form of object to form into a new object. It is the combination of magic and science which revolves around the principle of transmutation - changing objects from one form to another. It is perhaps one of the most unpredictable classifications of magic, for alchemy requires intense knowledge meaning years of research and study before it can be put into practical use. Even the basic forms of alchemy require a lot of knowledge and are not easy to perform. The underlying principles behind alchemy can be easily explained by chemistry and physics, it often crosses into the line of the supernatural, where natural laws break down and there are no solid explanations for its results. Alchemy can lead to various forms of new elements or objects, but also can be very dangerous if improperly used. Not all elemental compositions are compatible with one another. Alchemy also, more so than any other discipline, relies on the usage of supplementary objects such as special ingredients or talismans. This form of magic is revered as the "jack of all magicks" incorporating many of the techniques found inside other magical arts. Alchemy is also capable of causing transformations in living beings too. It is a dangerous art and should be used with care. If not used properly, the result can and will be catastrophic resulting in enormous damage or loss of the user or anyone involved in it. The best way to perform alchemy without human error is to offer something of equal value in exchange for mastery over it for a short time.
Arcane Magic is the yin to alchemy's yang; arts born in defiance of science and sometimes even surpass those in the laws of nature and physics. It's a magic that far surpasses other magicks and is very difficult to perform and requires a lot of understanding to use properly. Arcane magic involves the art of transmogrification, while very similar to transmutation, does not adhere to any of the physical laws, and results are all but unpredictable outside the hands of a true master. The chief limitation of alchemy - to transmute a living thing - does not exist in arcane magic - as it primarily deals with hexes, curses and gross manipulation of the flesh and spirit. This magic is a form of black art and is strictly prohibited due to its various effects.
With arcane magic one can perform acts that are not usually achievable by that of a normal human being. This form of magic allows for transmutation or even transformation of the physical body of a human being and reshapes it usually affecting the patterns inside the DNA rewriting the genetic code. It can be extremely dangerous if misused as it can kill the person who performs and usually one master of it cannot teach it to anyone outside his kin, because the results are different from those outside his ancestry. Arcane magic can unlock the ability to even rise to the power of that of even a divine being. The user if they have enough knowledge and understanding over the symbolization can transmutate or even transform themselves or their host into a divine being. Unlike alchemy which requires a homunculi to even to be able to achieve this process, arcane magic does not require one. Arcane magic also allows for powers such as soul transmigration which is the ability to remove from the body the soul and to place it into another body, soul combination which is the ability to place a soul into a body of another person who already has a soul giving the body two souls, but this can often lead to multiple personalities or even split personalities and sometimes even a power struggle over the host's body. The last ability it grants is soul exchange which is also a forbidden technique which transmigrates two souls and swaps them inside the two hosts’ bodies that are being used. Arcane magic can even make a divine being human again if the body of the divine being has a soul implanted into it.
Forbidden types of arcane magic are Unholy Magic or the reverse effects of holy magic. These Dark Arts refer to the sinuous magic known as necromancy. Necromancy is the power to control negative energy or otherwise known as sinuous energy and apply those effects to the environment or atmosphere. The most common forms of necromancy are demonetization and reanimation. Reanimation is not a form of resurrection as it does not require a soul where it is just manipulating the body of a dead person or pulling the strings and these people are often called puppet-masters or masters of controlling bodies of the deceased. Higher forms of reanimation can allow the body to be controlled, but without a soul intact the person is nothing more than a zombie adhering to the commands its given by its master.
Demonetization is another forbidden practice which uses sinuous energy to take the shape of a hideous creature. These creatures usually have violent minds and only thirst for blood. They are also very difficult to control and only a true master over demonetization can control them. Another form of demonetization is applying the effects of sinuous energy into a host body and transforming it.
Evocation involves the creation of a "contract" between the practitioner and beings from the Spectral Plane. Through the use of their own life-force or spiritual energy -often with blood as a symbolization as a medium of the contract, most contracts require blood from the user to even be executed - summoners can call these spirits into the Material Plane and bring them "into the flesh". Beings from the Spectral Plane have no true physical forms and are often composed of the mystical element known as dark matter. The shape of this being is usually at the whim of the summoner depending upon the mind and personality of the summoner. Invocation is another form of summoning magic. Instead of merely giving summoned spirits a separate body, practitioners bring them into their own bodies. The result is a combined entity sharing a symbiotic consciousness. Invocation can be extremely dangerous if the will of the summoner is weaker than that of the spirit. These situations, or cases where a spirit is placed into the body of a person, against their will, are known as possessions. When performed properly, the practitioner can gain knowledge and abilities of their companion spirit, as well as other new supernatural abilities resulting from the compound soul.
Natural Magic involves a practitioner attuning his/her mind to the "rhythm" of other living organisms, to petition them for aid, or to bend them to their will. Manipulating the movements of vines or other plants, drawing out substances, and calling animals are just some of the many powers of a naturalist. Although there are overlaps between natural magic and the power of elementals controlling earth or water, mastery over nature is truly the naturalist's domain. The most accomplished practitioners are even said to be able to control the action of sentient beings.
Glyph Magic is one of the most mysterious in the world, as the source of its power is not completely understood. Resonance magic is the art which uses the power of sound to influence these internal signatures to bring about a variety of effects. Eco-Industrial technology, also known as light industrial which isn't as harmful as heavy industrial and is quite more efficient and pollution free, involves use of environmentally sensitive machines that react whenever the environment or atmosphere in the area is threaten making it far superior to heavy industrial. Eco-industrial societies preserve the natural ambiance from the region they are allocated, and the installations are sometimes even "invisible" meaning they lack even the slightest bit of omnipresence of heavy industry, and are instead well-integrated into the ecosystem as not to harm or destroy it. The Anzier Empire is the best example of a nation that uses Eco-Industrial technology and is arguably even more "advanced" than Cimmeria in most areas.

Bright Future installations are built to be very efficient, both in technical terms and even in preserving resources as not to consume them unlike other technologies.
Steamtech was originally the predecessor to heavy industrial, but continued to develop as a separate and parallel branch of technology though in some areas it is now completely obsolete. Mainly it relies upon the use of steam-powered engines or turbines, which although they may look very unsophisticated, are often every bit as efficient as their cybernetic counterparts. Then Ancient Elven Empire was very well-known for its diverse technology. The once unpopulated Ancient Elven Empire now is residence for humans who desire technologically advanced technology. Magitek is easily leading the humans to understanding how Ether-Tech and Harken Biotechnology works. It is a belief that Arcadian technology was Magitek based though there isn't enough evidence to support this claim.
Ether-Tech, or Etherium Technology is mostly recognized as the most highly advanced technology to ever exist in the world and also requires high standards to even achieve at even the lowest level. Not much is known about Ether-techs, since there are no longer any functional installations. It was known only to the legendary Phaedrian civilization. Ancient records and historical documents claim that ether-tech involved the widespread usage of pure etherium, which at the time existed in greater abundance throughout the Material Plane than it does now. Biotech is yet another kind of technology that has been long lost in the sands of time, after the abrupt fall of the once-dominant and tyrannous Harken race. It involved the use of "living machines" such as androids and beings equipped with nanomachines, installations which were genetically engineered as a state of the art science to serve specific purposes within the highly structured Harken societies. Since biotech was organic, it was well-integrated into the environment, eliminating the usual conflict between nature and artifice. Like the Salecians themselves, their biotechnology was connected by way of telepathic network somewhat like telepathy, channeled through a massive "organic computer" known as the Prime. Because of this, Harken societies were incredibly efficient, and able to maintain their dominance for centuries without rivalries. A legendary Arcadian technology used to amplify magical prowess. Most beings that wore these special crafted bracelets could easily wield magical power by controlling the Esir. Naturally occurring Egis have the ability to materialize an Etherium Weapon or Spiritual Weapon. The phenomena behind this cannot be easily explained. Some think that an Ethera from the Spectral Plane enters the Material Plane via the planet's vital points and takes refuge in a naturally formed Egis. Even though they are powerful, Egis that are born naturally are quite dangerous since monsters, or spirits that have taken a purpose toward getting revenge on beings of Gaea, take refuge near these objects and feed upon their Esir.
Known to many as organic weapons or weapons that have minds of their own that manifest from a strange gem-like structure called an Egis. The capacity and capabilities of these weapons is all but unpredictable from one user to another since these weapons choose their owners. A person must be chosen or accepted by these weapons in order to use them. Many think the weapons were based off of an advanced AI that the Salecian race established after the construction of the Tree of Yggdrasil. This is a lot of information to get through, however this looks to be a great RP, you can expect a character sheet whenever you start the OOC topic.
Sorry I didn't answer you awhile ago, but I've been busy. Initially I won't start an OOC of this until I get more participants or people interested in it. I'm still working on it and it isn't completely finished, but I'm getting closer to being able to launch it. Though if I can't get any participation or more people involved then I'll probably have to rework the entire idea.
