You know what I mean! :P It has its own monitor for christ's sake! I just need a good tablet with a pen that I can utilize with a number of programs on my laptop.
XD
I'd recommend looking at the Intuos. It's a good mid-range tablet. Decent size, good pressure levels. The small will run you about $200. Spring for the larger one if you can afford it -- the extra drawing room will feel more comfortable to you. (Which is about $450.)
You can also look for these used on ebay and get pretty good deals, too.

Yea I don't think I'd ever buy anything but the largest; I can't imagine drawing using a smaller one. Seems like it'd be too strange/uncomfortable. Thanks Sherlock.![]()

I know it's expensive, but I will say that the Cintiq has that screen for a reason. You draw traditionally, correct? Well, by having the screen on it, you can apply the exact same skill set to your digital drawings. Whereas with other kinds (such as the Bamboo or Intuo) that don't have the moniter, you have to reteach yourself how to draw (kind of). It's new hand movements, and a new way of thinking (drawing something without looking straight at it).
Photoshop is something real men teach themselves. Tutorials are for noobs.
As a result, I have a pretty limited knowledge of how the damn program actually works but by God am I creative with the six or so functions I understand.
