After Fall: Since the discovery of the Fresian Particle in 2038 A.D. the world enter a more unstable time, yet humanity itself advanced onward. In 2056 AD the first colonies at the Lagrangian Points were set up and lunar colonization was progressing rapidly. The world has separated into to different blocs. The European Union dissolved and most of what was Europe now belong to the Jul'ihan Federation of the Middle East. Russia maintained its independence and joined a mutual defense pactwith the People's Republic Of China and India.

2087 AD:The United States enter a period of civil war and was reformed into the United Democratic Commonwealth and to the south of its border was the country simply known as The Republic. Tension between two nations has broken out into periodic skirmishes. With the advent of mobile suit technology in the Republic they have the advantage needed to maintain its safety and security of its citizens. In the skirmish known as Red Month, The Republic launched its newest prototype mobile suit known as Gundam. This quickly turned the tide in the conflict to a Republic Victory. Asterian was name of the first model and now after 5 years every nation has its own mobile suit development.

On board the colony known as La Rosa the next stage in mobile suit technology is about to make a breakthrough. On the testing grounds of New Harmony Base a squad of Asterian Mobile Suits are in formation prepping for a mock battle against the newest model The Republic has to offer. "Ok, everyone lets have rundown through our systems check I want us to be in tip top shape." The lead mobile suit in a customized Asterian, a blue body with red highlight with the pilots name along the side: Captain Wes "Shamrock" Shrock. Wes was running a performance check on his Asterian that he had used since Red Month. In that month he witnessed the loss of his mentor and his teammate, then UDC decided to try a colony drop on the Republic Capital that was thankfully averted due to Asterian's combat prowess and dumb luck for that matter.

"So Captain what are you going to do when they retire your Asterian?" said one of his wingmen.

"Does it look like I plan to retire this any time soon. This baby is my lucky charm for me, and besides it is not the machine that matter its--"the captain replied before he was cut off.

"--it is the pilot that is the deciding factor." Another sprang up on the radio "You have been drilling that in our heads for two years now." There was a mix of laughter on the radio after the comment they made.

"I am guessing with all this chit chat you guys are done? We have ceremony and a field exercise to do against the model" The Captain asked. "Besides not only is this a battle but our integrity and honor as a squad is on the line." The captain check the controls. "Alright ladies and gentlemen it is time to get this show on the road. Proceed on a full burn the switch to combat thrusters and F-particle usage.

"Oh Captain you know how to motivate the troops" someone said in a sarcastic tone. A figure came up on his monitor in the form a woman. "That is why I chose to stay with you as your AI. I know you better than yourself." Ressa his AI, has been with him for over 5 years and been a great help to him and his squad even when they were in the worst of situations. In time "she" developed her own personality and code ethics, yet had her own unique take on the theatrics. "By the way UDC warships have been spotted near Helios Colony. Do you think they plan on attacking."

"Well it is a tempting target. Destruction of a new model and not mention leaders from The Republic and Jul'ihan Federation are here as well." Wes replied to her. "Ever since the new premier was put into power 12 years ago he has shown nothing but contempt for every treaty they have made even going so far as to nuke side 3 and colony drop every city in the Republic. "Until then we are using this exercise as a way to measure the enemy fighting strength."

"Oh?... Something up your sleeve?" Ressa said.

"We have been given clearance to use live ammunition remember. Or did you not read the briefing...again."

"Oh yeah i meant to do that." She replied showing up on the monitor as a librarian. "I just finished reading The Divine Comedy."

Wes shook his head as he look of disappointment. "How many times."

"Twenty-Thousand six hundred and forty-three times to date Captain." She replied as they continued on to the site.
