An Idea in Progress (Fantasy, Seeking Female Character)

I'm not picky on the amount that you write, though I tend to mirror my partner's length in posts. Also keep in mind that I'm completely open to suggestions and any sort of input regarding the story.

I haven't worked out many details, but I was thinking of a story working around a young man with alarmingly powerful magical capabilities - alarming, because he has a difficult time managing it. Normally, he appears to be quite inept with magic, to the point of being harmless. Once frightened, however, things can become rather dangerous. Because of this, he is often very quiet and non confrontational, and one day, wanders out of his village, in order to isolate himself in the surrounding woods, in order to safely practice maintaining control over himself. There, he crosses paths with a woman, and I guess we figure out the rest from there.

By all means, your character should have whatever background you wish. However, I've thought of perhaps a couple of ideas that might make for an interesting story. For example, crossing paths with a woman that is a very adept mage, whom decides that, upon meeting him, and sensing the power within him, tries to convince him to allow her to help him with his training, with the personal goal of harnessing his power for her own use. Or perhaps, for whatever reasons, she requires someone with his talents for something she is trying to accomplish, whether she fully understands his fear of his own magic or not, is determined to bring him with her.

Or anything else you have in mind, they are just a few ideas that I'm putting out there. Depending on what you like, it may or may not include romance, though I have to admit, if romance is involved, I particularly enjoy radically different characters being involved, so I would prefer a strong-willed, borderline overbearing character to match mine.
