    Hated by all?

When coming out as gay, Skye is instantly treated as if he is carrying some sort of contagious disease, shunned by most of the school's population. Opting to spend most of his free time in the on campus coffee shop, he notices one of the cheerleaders watching him, her eyes filled with tears. Swallowing his fear, he sits down to comfort her, quickly finding out why she is crying. Promising to help eachother, they bond quickly. But why?

    Pm me.

How often does this actually happen? To tell the truth, I've never heard it happen to such a serious extent in nature and it kind of throws suspension of disbelief screaming out the window from a highrise apartment. And right into traffic.

Forgive my unapologetic criticism but I'm being 100% serious here. I'm really curious to know if this actually happens in nature. It would blow my mind to know that that kind of intolerance exists on such a large scale, but I'm really just assuming better of humanity right now.

I'm just saying it might make it a bit more realistic to tone a bit down and not have a whole majority of the school despising him unless you can give a good reason why they all do rather than just being intolerant pricks. It kind of recklessly demonizes an entire populace almost without justification, and it makes the school seem like some evil entity rather than an amalgamation of actual people who just happen to go to the same school as him and dislike him for their own reasons (however petty they may seem).

I had it all through out school, and into college. My school was roughly 2,500 students, all of whom indicated me by "The Fag". I chose to use that instance as a basis for an unrelated rp, but assumed it would carry on here. That, and it's a small, 200 student school, in a religious state.

Strange that they would refer to you as a slang term meaning something completely different than it's common use in The States. You know, considering you from the UK.

I'm trying to think of what kind of school would harbor 2500 students, all of whom were as morally bankrupt as the next, and continue to nickname you something that doesn't even mean the same thing in the UK as it does in the US. Not commonly, anyway. This means that absolutely nothing would be done by anyone, the teachers are just as terrible as the students, and you had to have come from a place that is literally filled with intolerance. That and it's a bit unimaginative, to tell the truth.

Unfortunately, all it makes your character seem like is a sad gary-stu/mary-sue, and it's only purpose seems to be invoking sympathy in the main character. The entire point seems to be making your one character the star of the story since the only conflict happening is actually... in my honest opinion, quite trivial compared to troubles that follow being in school and college. The plot seems like it's very two dimensional, and it doesn't have a lot of room to grow outward. Seems like a quick one off that either isn't going to go anywhere, or somehow turn into a cybering session down the line.

I seen this happen. I don't know but one of my good friend turned gay and everyone left him. Also you shouldn't hate on soul. He likes those kind of roleplays and so do I. Back to the gay thing. I was technically my gay friends only friend. No, I'm not a cheerleader. Yes, he did meet me when he was going though alot.

I'm not on as much anymore. I have family problems but once summer comes I'm free as a bird and I'll probably be on 24-7 -snickers- So be patient with my replies! I love you all.

Weird. I knew my gay friend before he was gay. When he came out, nobody so much as batted an eyelash. I can see why someone would like these kinds of roleplays, however, since it allows someone a way to play out a scene they wished was in their life but never actually came up and probably won't anyway. Unfortunately, as I had warned someone else earlier before he responded to one of SoulSam's interest checks, these kinds of scenes are notorious for being a pity party rather than an engaging story... which is what most good roleplayers will be looking for.

Also,Lilleona. Spellcheck, Spellcheck, Spellcheck. 'A lot' is two separate words, friends needs an apostrophe (friend's), first sentence should be 'I have seen this happen', and what do you mean you don't know but one of your good friends turned gay and everyone left him? Why did everyone leave him, and what do you not know?

I'm not stopping anyone from responding to the interest check, though. :P
