I'm not a fan of the one crew, one ship deal, especially not if we agree to have all of the action start off in the same system. Not everyone wants to be on the same mission, or at least not on the same side.

Let me try and mesh the GALACTIC CONFLICT and PLANETARY CIVIL WAR ideas together, though...

Revan disappeared a century ago. Up until now, it has been a peaceful century. But word has reached Coruscant that an outlying Republic system is experiencing a civil war. The old king has been overthrown, and a new popular leader has taken his place. A diplomatic team, including two Jedi, has been dispatched to begin negotiations with this new government. But when they arrive, they find the civil war is still ongoing. More disturbingly, the new revolutionary leader is backed primarily by masked soldiers. And when one of those soldiers is unmasked...

We find out that he is of the Sith race, and the Sith are again infilitrating the galaxy, starting with this outer planetary system.

I'm a fan of this idea. Maybe we can have a short event before they get to the planet where the Jedi need to change ships for some reason (malfunction, damage from an unknown enemy, approaching with lower visibility) and that way we can drag a Han-Solo character along. On entry, the ship could be unexpectedly attacked due to the war, and the group is forced to stay on the ground until they repair or replace the ship.
