Alone caravan was on the road going in the opposite direction than most humaans would actually take. They were heading towards the borders of Elven lands, where they thought they could find shelter. The members of this little group all came form the same town, which was assaulted by a band of Goblinoids of all sort. The town's leaders and Lord were slaughtered as well as every last guards. The town itself was burned to the ground. The only survivors were the one who left in company of the Lord's wife, Kalyanna, an actual Elve.
She had met the man years ago in one of his travels through her land and decided to leave with him abandoning her home behind. Her home, family and friends...Now, she would not admit it, but maybe that was the bad choice to make. The group knew a group of the evil fiends were still on their trails and they could not rest. On of the horse died of exhaustion, slowing them down considerably. The hours passed slowly... until they heard evil laughters behind them. The Golbins had finally found the survivors, just before they entered the elven woods, and were now charging the Caravan. Abandoning it behind, the survivors began heading into the woods on foot to try and vainly flee from the evil creatures. The first to die was a woman, piercing by a large blade from behind as she was trying to help a children get up. The child in question was the next to die when a smaller Goblin jumped on him and started to horribly...chew at the poor thing.
The other ones all died one after the other so fast that Kalyanna was eventually the only one remaining. She was now walking backward while looking at the monsters who approached her slowly. An elf was not something they'd have seen so often, killing her would certainly be different.
On her side, Kalyanna knew that the Elves were aware of the Goblins presence in their woods. She knew they always had scouts and rangers watching their borders, they probably even let the Humans die. She only wished they would not let her die. Although dying was probably not this bad, she had lived a long life, she had hoped to see him one last time.
