It wasn't hand-drawn. If it had been, I would've mentioned it in the comments

As a note, remember you're not voting for what fits the theme best, you're voting for which is the best artistically. Just because something looks artsy and might fit an AOTM account better, doesn't mean it is the best artistically.

My mistake for assuming it was hand-drawn, then. If it was, though, I would definitely say it was the best artistically as, despite what Butter said, I find hand-drawn art more impressive and deserving of a win in general, even if it's not specifically a "drawing" theme. After all, this is an "art" contest. That should mean any medium of art, rather than just limiting it to a "digital art/photo manip" contest. I for one would love to see mediums of art outside digital art be encouraged rather than shot down. AOTM might as well be renamed GAOTM (Graphic Artist OTM) otherwise.

At any rate, that's just my opinion on hand-drawn art and other non-digital mediums of art in general. Something non-digital will always get extra points in my book just for that considering how much more talent I find that displays, and also good on the artist for stepping outside the norm of AOTM and helping to remove the bad stigma I see floating around that it's "just photo manip". I'm not really defending #2 at this point since I realize now how little effort was put into it and it's not even hand-drawn like I congratulated it on, so now I feel kind of bad for voting for it. #3 would've gotten my vote otherwise.

Also sorry for the late reply on that, Butter. Normally I see these things when I search my username. Not sure why I missed that.
    Rules of the Art Gallery:
    No loud conversation.
    No photography.
    No food or drink.
    No touching the displays.
    No fountain pens.
    No leaving ever.

It's fine, I won either way, even voting against myself, somehow.

Butter, given your comment, would you like to create a different set for AOTM? Or are you okay for that set to be used?

Er, if you want to use that feel free. I currently like the one it has, and the one I made is quite awful. I think you should use entry #2's over mine, simply because it does look handrawn, and would be more fitting considering not all of AOTM's contests are digitally based.

Hand-drawn, digital-draw, it's irrelevant to me. I'd take a piece of well made digital art over some crappy hand-drawn piece. They both require different levels of effort, and many hand-drawn pieces have won the AOTM battle. I'd rather use something which has more done to it artistically (text on a background does not cut it for me. Hence I knocked the piece down to Casual (before I realised there weren't enough entries)).

Err, give me a couple of hours. When I'm done with what I'm working on currently I'll make something in the same style, except it'll be less atrocious.
