(Please note: The original idea for this RP was based on one that I took place in that was started by a user named DragonkingUK. I have alltereded it slightly with the aid of previous participants, this is our offshoot of the orignal.)

Background: The year is 1447, The greater continent of Ashur is under the control of an individual by the name of the Elemental King. His true identity is unknown, all that is known is that he is a powerful individual with the ability to control all of the base elements of the world. His rule has been brutal, with most of the kingdom being forcibally unified and many rebelious groups and cultural minorities being eraticated by his vicious policies. The people are under the weight of the king's police state, and none are able to fight back against his powers over the elements. It seemed that his rule from the vast elemental tower, a monsterous creation of metal, stone and ice that serves as the king's personal home and palace, would last for all eternity.

It was then that a seer of the cult of light recieved a vision from the god of light, showing him that soon a group of elmentals guided by the power of the gods and their chosen Aeons would rise up and destroy the king's hold over the kingdom. News of the prediction quickly spread to the king himself, who ordered the destruction of the cult of light and all it's temples and priests, and the eradication of thousands in an effort to find and destroy the elementals. However, the Aeons intervined and hid away the elementals in their infancy and ensured their well being. Now the time has come for the elementals to rise up and destroy the king, and their journey will being in a small village not far from the Elemental Tower.....

The Nations of Ashur and other Regions:
The Teutones: The Teutones are the dominant race on Ashur, inhabiting much of the central and eastern regions, but also having colonized and settled in other regions. They are physically average, standing at about 5' in most individuals with brown to black hair, blue eyes, fair skin. The kingdoms of the Teutones were the first to fall to the Elemental King due to their close proximity, the capital of the largest Teutonic city being destroyed and replaced with the Elemental tower. They have rather average status in the social castes. The Cult of Fire is very popular amongst the Teutones.

The Marqui: The Marqui are another race from the central regions of Ashur, but were pushed into the midwest by the expansions of the Teutones. They had a strong centralized kingdom that was taken over by the Elemental King, himself a Marqui, and used as his base for attack on the other regions. The Marqui are physically very imposing, with males standing an average of 6' 3" and being very lean and naturally athletically built. They have silver hair, golden yellow eyes, and very pale skin. The Marqui have the level of nobility in the Caste System. The Marqui were formerly worshipers of the god of light until the cult was outlawed, now they are slowly adopting the Teutonic Fire Cult (although elements of light worship are still very obvious).

The Wicks: The Wicks are a rather elusive race that only recently appeared on the mainland. For centuries sailors feared Wickish Raiders and Pirates, who would not only attack ships, but raid costal cities and even river towns. The Wickish homland was not known to be the far island of Wickland, a marshy island unsuited for agriculture. The raiders of the Wicks and their families began to found city states on the western coast of Ashur in the late 14th century, created by hopefuls seeking a more peaceful life. Most of these cities were conquered by the Genevii, who were in turn conquered by the Elemental King. The Wicks have Blonde to light brown hair, light skin, and green eyes and can range in hight from 5' 7" to 6' 5". The Wicks are worshipers of the god of water, and the Water Cult remains strong with them. However, the Genevii native Light Cult has some underground worshipers, and the Fire Cults heroic focus makes it popular with them as well. The Wicks are low in the caste system, the second lowest. Wickland is one of the few nations that was not conquered by The King.

The Genevii: The Genevii are the native people of Geneva, the western region of Ashur. The Genevii were a wild and slightly warlike culture that at the same time emphasised logic and reason. Many scientific and philisophical inovations came out of this region, and so did the once widespread Cult of Light. The Genevii are short, the average man coming to about 5' 4", they have light olive skin, dark brown eyes and black hair. Their skill in mathematics and science allowed them to overcome their small stature and found a great empire up until it's collapse into smaller kingdoms which were later conquered by the Elemental king. The Genevii have a religious affiliation of 100% Light God worshipers, all of whom now practice their faith underground and in secret.

The Archai: The Archai are the native people of the Archaion Penisula on the deep south of Ashur. These people live in the windswept dunes and rocky canyons, guided only by the animals of the desert and the occasional rain. Costal Archai live in hot grasslands and fish for survival. These people do not have a unified nation, many clans and small kingdoms exist with each a slight variation on Arachaic Culture. The Arachai look the strangest of all people, with silver hair, brown skin, and red eyes. They are worshipers of the earth god, though some worship the Aeon Muladhara as a god.

The Oki Islanders: The Oki Islands are a archapegglio of tropical islands just off the southern most part of Ashur. These islands are completely free and independant, the complexities of the waterways making the inexpericed naval comander of the king unable to conquerer them. The inhabitants of these regions are dark skinned, brown eyed, black haired and of around average height. The unified Oki Islands are also home to a unique water god religon distinct from that of the Wickish Religion. However, due to trade routes, people of all relgions and races can be fround in the Oki islands.

The Sakas: The Sakas are the inhabitants of the far north of Ashur. This independant region is kept free by the powerfull winters that occur year round. The Sakas have a unique culture based around horses and clans. Each clan is kept undercontrol by a group called a Tuath. The Tuaths act as a sort of council that keep the tribe in action. Horses are the main means of transportation, the main weapon, and the currency of the Sakas. They are also great archers, and many can do horseback archery naturally. The Sakas have dark skin, narrow black eyes, and black hair, and can be pointed out by their distinctive attire, a tunic-coat and pointed hat. Many Sakas live outside of their homeland, and have assimilated into neighboring cultures. The Sakas are worshipers of all the gods, but the gods of Metal, Lightning, and Wind are popular with them.

The Religions of Ashur:

Cult of Fire: The Cult of Fire is centered around worship of the Fire God. This Cult emphasises the aspects of heroics and strength. Worshipers often seek to become great warriors and live up to the example set by the warlike god of fire.

Cult of Water: The Religion known as the Cult of Water is that of the Wicks. It teaches that the water god is a voracious god that must be appeased to sustain the powerful force of life giving water. This is acheived through sacrifice to bodies of water.


Oki Water Cult: The Native religion of the Oki Islands is one based on the healing properties of water. Practitioners are often doctors who use the idea of healing being sacred to the life giving nature of water as a way of pleasing the water god. Lay people often try and practice medicine as well as a form of worship.

Cult of Earth: The Cult of Earth is obsessed with fertility. They are concerened with the ongoing cycle of life in both the earth and in humans and animals. Earth God Worshipers often have many children and grow plants and animals of their own. The Earthly Priesthood is also exclusive to those who are transgendered.

Cult of Wind: The Worshipers of the Wind god are not concerened with the material. They are nomads who wander from place to place, and take only the basics of what they need. They are pointed out for their simple and ragged clothing.

Cult of Lightning: The Cult of Lighting is based around a hierachy of power. Power is everything, and it represents the high power of lighting and the high power of the god of lighting. The Preisthood preforms all rituals, the cult of lightning has no laypeople, if one wants to tend to the needs of the lightning god, they must train to become a priest and fight for power.

Cult of Light: The native religion of the Genevii, this cult spread far across the continent, as far south as the Oki Islands, and as far north as the Sakas. It is based upon a single principal, that all the world is a material lie and that the everlasting light is the way to escape it. It was said that all life is composed of light, and that all life will return to the light, and so that all are related and interconected and so all should respect everyone. This religion was outlawed and partially destroyed by the Elemental King, and only a few underground practicioners remain.

Darkness Mystery Cults: The Mystery Religions of the God of Darkness are not well understood, and one can only practice if they are initiated into them. There is no single religon that worships the god of darkness, rather many small sects exist, all of them sharing the common theme of secrecy. It is known that blood sacrices, autosacrifice, and mantric prayer are elements of these mystery cults.

Cult of Metal: The Cult of Metal is a strange mixture of a workers guild and a religious organization. The worshipers are metal workers, who spend hours, days, and weeks at a time working on metal projects as worship of the god of metal. The sacredness of metal leads many practioners to wear gold (the most sacred metal of all) in the forms of pendants, rings and earrings.

The Aeons

The Aeons are the 2nd most powerful beings in existance, and are under the direct athority of the gods. The Aeons are the current protecters and guides of the elementals, and also serve as their most powerful weapon. The Aeons are as follows:
