    Can you solve this?

Obviously it's easy to solve but my friend and I got in a little spat about the answer...so anyone have an answer?

    What the above post said.

    6 - ( 1 * 0 ) + ( 2 / 2 ) = 7

    Because BIDMAS.

Depends. For what purpose is this being done, for who, and whether or not / =

    6 - ( 1 * 0 ) + 2
    _________
    2

    = 4

    or

    6 - ( 1 * 0 ) + ( 2 / 2 ) = 7

The first one avoids PEMDAS, while the second one does not.

Why would it avoid PEMDAS? That's kinda the correct way to solve something like this.

If the division symbol was suppose to indicate a fraction bar such as in that first one, everything before it would have been in brackets to show that the whole thing was being divided by 2. The second way you did it was the correct way and the correct answer.
