I know this is your first game, so here's a tip: Hints, false trails, and foreshadowing abound in each and every story post. It's just the way we do things here.

Perhaps I'll have you drink more as the game goes on.
    This is acceptable.

    If I live long enough.

I'm going to start sending out reminders to Night Role people. 24 hours from now, anyone who hasn't said anything I will assume is not doing anything.

By the way: if you have an active role (one that can actually do stuff), I'd appreciate it if you PMed me telling me that you're not doing anything (if you're not) so that I'm not left wondering.

Night Phase 1 - Dark Uprising

_____Aragorn's wagon trundled through the deepening snow, the breath of the horse up front misting in the air. Beside him sat SebasChan, both on their way home after an evening at Svenn's. Stuffing his hands into his armpits, SebasChan spoke up. "I'm glad the rain has finally stopped."
_____His comment was met with a laugh. "Oh?" Aragorn inquired, "prefer the cold do you?"
_____"At least the snow doesn't soak into my basement. The place is still flooded. Everything's covered in mold and mud."
_____"Haven't gotten that fixed yet?" Aragorn shook his head. "Not to be rude, but your place is falling apart."
_____"I'm well aware, thank you." SebasChan tapped his friends shoulder and motioned to stop. "I think I'll walk the rest of the way. I need to think about some things." Aragorn nodded and let him off. The two waved farewell, and Aragorn flicked the reins and headed off into the night, alone this time.
_____Every few minutes or so he would be forced to take off his hat and knock off the collected snow, as the weather threatened to turn to storm. The wind was already picking up, forcing snow to dance in the light thrown by scattered torches and windows. Icicles glittered, and trees turned white. As he passed Squee's wagon, he noticed that the snow had been swept off the front step. Most likely from the door opening. Kangaroo and FirePaladin, most likely.

    ___-___

_____Hearing a sound at the door, Squee stood from her chair where she had been lost in thought, and went to unlatch the door. Always guests dropping by, at any time of day. She found it quite tiresome at times. She had long since learned to content herself with her own mind; she wasn't desperate for human contact. Still, she knew that her guests all meant well, and so learned to simply let it happen.
_____Before she could undo the latch, the door was knocked open, splinters thrown wide by the shattered lock. A cold wind rushed through this new entry and blew out all but one of the candles that lay strewn across the single room of her wagon.
_____"Who-" she managed to get out before a dark form rushed forward behind the wind and covered her mouth. With the help of the last pitiful candle, Squee was able to make out a dark wool mask, reeking of mildew and rot.
_____A finger was held in front of her face. The finger, in contrast to the mask, was spotless. Nail well trimmed and no scars to be seen along the digit. Behind her assailant the door slowly creaked shut, pushed by the strangers foot. "No noise," a light voice murmured. The hand disappeared from her mouth, and the figure shoved past her.
    _____Squee tried again. "Who are-"
_____The figure whirled around, heavy coat lagging behind. "I said no noise!" the voice yelled. "I can't think when you talk. I can't hear him when you talk. I can't…" a hand was raised to head, as though in pain. "No noise. Please." The figure's head was raised, and looked around the small wagon. The perfect hand gestured towards a chair. "Feel free to take a seat."
_____Squee did so hesitantly. There was something… blasphemous about being asked to sit in ones own home. Some desecration of long held tradition. The intruder inspected the room for a few minutes, looking in every nook and cranny. Examining each window. Gazing at each piece of paraphernalia strewn about.
_____All the while that voice continued to muttered. "Not good enough, not good enough." Suddenly the figure turned back to Squee, who had been all but ignored since she sat. "Not good enough!" The intruder began walking towards her. Purposefully. Dangerously. Squee fell backwards as the intruder drew close, and opened her mouth to scream. Without warning, without movement, a knife was at her eye. "No noise," the voice repeated. There was a moment of stillness. "You are not good enough," the voice said in a resigned tone.
    _____The knife descended.

    ___-___

_____Inside the tavern, now open, many drank and gambled away the cold. KnightShade poured drinks, collected coin, and philosophized about life and what came after. Alpha, FirePaladin and Kangaroo drained said drinks, handed over said coin, and tolerated said thoughts. It would be a few hours yet before the three found themselves in yet another drunken brawl over yet another inconsequential slight.
_____If a slight failed to present itself, an old one would be brought up.
_____Weaving between tables was Noxious, attempting to weasel some coin out of various patrons. Eventually, she reached the table where Nargle and Smiral sat. Mousing up Smirals hair, she took a seat. Smiral flinched at the touch and quickly left the table. Nargle simply glared.
_____"So," Noxious said, helping herself to Smirals abandoned drink, "willing to spare some coin?"
_____Nargle spat on the floor. "Why not just filch some like you usually do?"
_____"Please," the dirty woman said, "let's not let old slights get in the way of our wonderful friendship."
    _____"Fuck off."
_____Noxious motioned towards the bar where Christie sat. "If that's what you're looking for, ask her. Though you might to charge extra considering your chest."
_____Nargle stood sharply. "What part of 'fuck off' are you having trouble with?" The other woman simply grinned and shrugged, rubbing two fingers together. Shaking with anger, Nargle turned and shoved her way outside, a sharp laughter following her.
_____Back by the warmth of the fire, Smiral prepared to follow her. Seated beside her, Natsume spoke up. "Following like a puppy." The woman nodded. Natsume nodded and looked into the fire. "Puppies are nice." This comment was met with another nod. When Smiral began to walk away though, she found a hand grasping her arm. "You don't-"
_____Smiral tore herself away quickly. "Don't touch me," she pleaded. Confused, Natsume reached out again. Smiral shoved him away and ran out the door. Natsume, caught off guard, stumbled back and fell. He sat there for a moment, and then followed.
_____Watching with detached boredom was Christie, a younger woman with sharp features and dim blue eyes. Beside her sat Zed, who had been hounding her the entire night. "So," he said, "You quite sure you aren't doing anything tonight?"
_____Christie sighed and fiddled with her hair. "Most likely, yes." She turned slighty, cutting him off. It had quickly been apparent that he wasn't going to be paying for anything, so there was little reason to encourage conversation. Truth be told, she didn't know why he continued to talk and question. They had been going in circles for over an hour, each time around him becoming more direct and her more distracted.
_____Finally, it seemed that he had gotten the hint. Finishing off his drink, Zed stood, thanked KnightShade, and headed for home. Pausing only to give a nod to Smiral, who had re-entered the tavern, apparently unable to find her friend.
_____Christie yawned. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night, and it was catching up to her with a passion. Sensing a presence filling Zed's empty seat, she turned. There sat Noxious. The two had always been fairly close, in comparison to their other relationships, if only because of their shared isolation. Neither were particularly well liked or respected in Tryst, and had found comfort in the knowledge they weren't alone.
_____"Have any money for some drinks?"
_____Christie nodded. "One more drink each, then I'm going home." Noxious nodded with a grin and moused her friends hair. The two talked and drank until there was nothing left to say and, more importantly, nothing left to drink.
_____When Christie stood to leave, Noxious stood with her. "I might as well go as well," she explained. "Nobody else here is willing to donate some coin to a good cause."
_____"Getting you drunk isn't that noble a cause."
_____Noxious sighed. "Ah well. Perhaps it will be when this town gets it's priorities straight."
_____Outside the two of them let their breath stand still in the air, rubbing their arms and adjusting to the change in temperature. Down the road came Aragorn in his wagon, the sound of the horses hooves muffled in the night. Christie quickly waved him down. "Can I get a ride?"
_____Aragorn pulled up, set the reins to the side, and leaned forward. "Maybe," he said, squinting in the dimness.
_____Sighing, Christie climbed up next to the coachman. "If needs be, I'll make it worth your while." Aragorn paused for a moment, flushed, and made room for the woman. Christie, settled, motioned for Noxious to get up.
_____"Nah," the standing woman said, waving her off, "I think I'll stick around for awhile." Before the words have been finished, the horse was goaded into action, and the coach rode off. Christie let loose a long breath of ice, and leaned into Aragorn for warmth.

    ___-___

_____Noxious hopped from foot to foot, watching as the carriage disappeared into the falling snow. The wind had died down since evening, a small blessing of which she was quite glad for. As her ragged jacket quickly became gilded with ice, she became walking quickly to her home. A home which was much more a wooden hole in the ground than an actual building, but it served her purposes.
_____Taking a shortcut, the woman ducked down a small alley way, only to trip over a still form. Spitting out snow, she manhandled the form into a sitting position. It was Natsume. She fell back on her heels. "Damn boy," she muttered, "what happened to you?"
_____His face was scratched and torn, with one eye swollen shut and the other stained red. His nose looked broken, and blood trickled from his open mouth. Noxious slapped him. A small groan answered her. "What happened?" she repeated.
_____Natsume coughed out a wad of blood and phlegm. "A dog," he whispered, voice hoarse. "Cute little dog."
_____Noxious stood and stretched. "Well, get up," she said, kicking him lightly. "We need to get you to-"
_____Another voice cut her off from the alley entrance. "What did you do?!" It shouted. Noxious looked to see a slim outline, silhouetted by the light of the street beyond. Raising a hand, Noxious opened her mouth to defend herself. "You bitch!" The silhouette charged forward, and tackled Noxious to the ground.
_____"I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" The attacker screamed, marking each word with a punch to the helpless woman below. Soon Noxious's face became a grim mimic of Natsume's. Skin tore open from the repeated blows, and blood rushed forth to fill the gaps.
_____Soon the blows stopped, and Noxious's head dragged up to stop a mere inch from the attackers. "What," the voice said coldly, "did you do?"

    ___-___

_____Christie fumbled at the lock for her door. She had just been dropped off by Aragorn, and despite her taking full advantage of his warmth, her fingers were stiff and clumsy. Finally, the key turned, and Christie stumbled inside.
_____A large, misshapen monstrosity was there to meet her. Sparse, wiry black hair sprouted from the creatures head, and large lumps and warts covered the entire body. It's arms were uneven and bulging, and it's back seemed to be bent almost completely sideways.
_____As Christie screamed, it spoke in a rolling, wet voice. "Hello dearie," it said, moving forward. "Just checking up on you." Grabbing Christie's throat, it lifted her off the ground and leered. "Been a good girl, have we?"

    ___-___

Squee has been killed by a secret secondary killer. Her role was Matchmaker. Explained in OP. She was also the Mayor. Which is also in the OP. Her first pairing will still be going on, despite her being dead.

Noxious was injured by a secret role.

Christiefries was also injured by a secret role.

NatsumeHack was also also injured by a secret role.

Blegh. This took so long to write. Sorry if it's rushed (especially that last section, bloody hell). Next up is the Day Phase (*gasp*), so send me your lynch votes, and actions if applicable.
