By now, the torturous treatment had become a lot more bearable and Kyo was able to string his words together into non-slurred sentences.
“Yeah, it was chaos.” he answered shortly, not utilising the regained ability to speak coherently to its fullest extent.
For now, the only person he felt he could confide in who wasn’t present at the riot was Rocco. He was determined to keep the exact nature of his injury a secret from even Alvarez himself, making a mental note to guard his mind cautiously as he had done so with Carolyn. He was sure that she had not attempted to read his mind, however, since she seemed to be a prefect that followed Academy rules with religious fervour.
As Yong regrew the muscle in his forearm, Kyo’s thoughts drifted to Rocco’s reaction: what would he think? Would he deride Kyo for being so foolishly brazen and, honestly, stupid? He recalled the way Aqua had slapped him across the face, the sting etched so deeply into his memory that it felt as if the entire fiasco had occurred only moments ago. He had to be honest with himself: whilst he did not think much of her, she had made a fair point. Any one of them could have been killed and the blame would be entirely on his shoulders for challenging a man who had displayed awe-inspiring powers right in front of their eyes.

Finally finishing with the muscle, he grabbed a few wipes from his kit, keeping one hand on him to finish sealing up the skin as he wiped away the blood. "This is no ordinary injury... With that kind of damage both to bone and muscle, and judging by the abrasions at the elbow, this was done by someone with knowledge of how to cause pain in a messy and difficult to heal way." Yong Hwa hated to speculate, and he was a curious creature by nature. "Now, the press hasn't said anything about students being caught in the mess, but while you said you were caught in the riot, I notice you don't have any other injuries, might there be a reason for that?"

“Maybe later, doc. It’s been a long day and I think I need to rest.” said Kyo, keeping a friendly tone so that his rejection did not seem too harsh.
He waited until Yong Hwa left him and then reclined until his back hit the mattress and his head fell against the thick pillow with a soft flump. The events of the riot and the healing process he had just experienced had drained him both physically and mentally. Before he could even begin to reflect, his head drooped to the side and he fell into a deep and impenetrable slumber.

Aqua walked around. She had her head hung low. She wasn't a social person. Her hair in her face, she walked everywhere in search for some one to talk too. She felt herself pulling away more and more. Why? Just because I'm adjusting to new atmospheres. I guess I could show myself a bit more. Maybe push it out of my face slightly. She sighed. Aqua looked around at all the people that were looking at her as if she had five heads. She looked back at the ground.

Forsythia sat in her room, levitating multiple objects, bored out of her mind. One drawback of having no friends and being anti-social, I'm always so damn bored. Now, I could go cause some mischief around the campus, but that's not really my style. she thought, moving a finger in a circle. A book began to spin in front of her with her finger, stopping and returning to it's place on the shelf, as if it had never been moved. She turned her gaze to the pen floating above the book on her desk, suddenly remembering what she had been doing before she was distracted, using her telekinesis to bring the book to her. She lanced at the pen, which was poised over the book, Today I heard rumors about my parents, that humans killed them, murdered them because of what they could do. I don't know if the rumors are true, but I know that their deaths have been covered up by someone well connected. Whomever this person is, they seem not to want to be revealed, always finding myself blocked each time I get close. It's like I'm being teased, lured more and more each time until I might break. I fear remaining neutral will no longer be possible, not with two different entities trying to collect me...I may have to choose a side very soon... the pen wrote. The book and pen settled on the desk gently, the book closing afterwards, "What's in store for me in the future?" she asked out loud. She sighed, returning all the levitating objects back to their rightful places before standing and walking to her bed, climbing into it and turning the light out with her ability. Tomorrow's another day... she thought before drifting off to sleep.
