    Possibly a stupid question pertaining, but...

    If a book I got brought as a gift has faded and improperly printed pages, what are my consumer rights? I googled it, and it was a part of a bad batch.

    I think you should be able to return it. Though I'm not sure.
    Was it through their official site? Or was it through a third party like ebay or a garage sale?
