    Ex Nihilo OOC

All begins and ends in Rust. The last bastion of humanity in a world engulfed in one single endless dust storm. Is this Earth? Is this our world? Nobody knows. But the inhabitants call it Gaea, a land on the verge of collapse. But who is to blame for this collapse into chaos? Again, nobody knows. But there are many who blame the Gods. Gods once tied to the land now walk among the humans, their connection to the world severed by the cataclysm that turned the world into a wasteland.

The dying land has caused echoes in the world. Feeding on these echoes of the past, a new power has come to the city of Rust, an organization known as ONI. A collection of people from around the world, brought together by the one thing they all share. All of them are Godslayers, men and women who have slain the almost unkillable Gods with their mortal hands. ONI's grip on Rust is undisputable, and the land bows to their whims.

But somehow, life manages to cling to the world... And that is where you come into the picture.

    The World of Rust:
    Spoiler

    Rules:
    1) No Autohitting, Powerplaying, Metagaming or Godmodding
    2) Be polite to your fellow RPers
    3) Keep it PG-13. Take the rated R stuff(sex, super-gore) to PM, seriously. Profanity is alright, just don't get crazy with it.
    4) You must post at least once every 5 days. If you know that you won't be able to post then inform the RP. If you have not posted after 5 days, and your character is interacting with another user's character then that user will be allowed to puppet your character until you return.
    5) If you have not posted after 10 days without warning, and you're character was not interacting with any other character, then we will assume you have resigned from the RP and your character will be killed by a random piano that falls from the sky. Seriously.
    6) Do not disrespect a GM whatsoever. If you have a problem with a certain GM, PM another GM and they will see what they can do to solve a problem.

A bit confused, As a Demi-God, would my God have to be an actual character?

No, you don't need to have a God PC to have a Demi-God PC.

This looks like a pretty interesting setup so far, and I like the moral ambiguity of it.

Why do the gods want to be worshiped? Does it actually make them stronger, or is it just a status symbol? I'd also like a word on Rust's culture. Do they generally favor the idea of gods being in charge and dislike the ONI organization, or do they hate these god-gangs roughing things up and like having ONI in control of the city? In either case I'm thinking of playing an ONI-loyalist; a thief who's looking to outsmart and kill a god so he can gain a position of power within the group.

    Name: Emiri Pire
    Alias - Lican Remi
    Nickname - Emily
    Gender: Female
    Age: 103
    Age Appearance: 27
    Sexuality: Homosexual

    Race: Demi-God(dess?)
    Organization: Un-Aligned/Freelancing

    Appearance:

Personality: Emily, being the Demi-Goddess of the God of Misapprehension, she is a rather tricky individual, but normally has a rather happy disposition. She enjoys the presence of other people, regularly wishing to find relationships with the ones she can relate to the most. Emily regularly takes everything lightly, it may be a death threat or accusation she rarely seems to care, with the exception of losing her friends and or loved ones. She also has a magnificent homicidal urge now and again just for fun. Emily is also immensely amused by fire.

History: Emily is the illicit daughter of the God of Misapprehension and a women that would classify as her mother, if not for the fact Emily killed her and later forgot about her. Emily lived though most of her early extended lifespan simply partying, never creating too much leeway into any serious profession, with the exception of Swordsmanship training, but she believed nearly entirely useless, was just entertaining. She also has rarely encountered much responsibility, leaving her common but childish traits such as the hate of losing or being proven wrong. She had once developed an liquor that remained with her for quite a few years, foggy in her mind. Emily absolutely hates this period of her life, as it reflects a listless bum, rather than a party-goer. She has herself indebted to a few small crime gangs, most for the reason of "more people to kill". In relation with her "homicidal maniac" persona, she wouldn't dare harm someone she knows, only people she doesn't really care for. Emily herself has been homicidal for as long as she can remember, when she would go out in the streets, and gut rats, poking their innards and squishing eyeballs, these actions likely caused her to be homicidal but she seems to barely be effected by it. She definitely enjoys killing people, but she never enjoyed messing with the bodies of humans, only animals. Emily has always been sensitive on her relationships, and tries to make sure she loses no friends, though it is obviously impossible to keep absolutely all your friends, she usually feels emotionally hurt.

    Theme Song:

    =========================================

Weapons/Items: Emily wields one 141/2" long machete, She also has a Hatchet (See appearance)

Powers: Emily, being a demi-goddess, can use some of her father's powers to an extent. She can vanish for a time, roughly 10 minutes, and she can bring down a haze of opaque fog down around her.

    Special Traits: N/A

    Name: Unknown
    Nickname: Stakeknife
    Aliases: Too many to list
    Gender: Male
    Age: 28
Sexuality: Whatever is most convenient at the moment

    Race: Human
    Organization: Unaligned

Appearance: Stakeknife is completely unexceptional in appearance. Average height, average weight, brown hair, brown eyes. When not "working" he tends to prefer a beret and sunglasses, as well as a wide, confident grin.

Personality: Stakeknife is a gifted actor and capable of representing his personality in any way that suits him. As himself, however, he exudes a breezy confidence that borders on arrogance, as well as enormous selfishness. As far as Stakeknife is concerned, the world operates for his sole benefit.

History: Trickster. Confidence man. Swindler. These are labels that could easily be applied to Stakeknife. A career criminal, Stakeknife uses elaborate setups and his silver tongue to convince the unsuspecting of Rust to willingly hand over their money- or simply to do something he finds amusing. Rust is his playground, as far as he is concerned.

    =========================================

Weapons/Items: Stakeknife finds combat distasteful, but is more than capable of protecting himself or silencing someone. He tends to prefer small, thin knives. Two are always hidden up his sleeves on spring scabbards, while others are hidden on his person. He also tends to carry several sets of identity documents

Modifications: Stakeknife has modified his pheromones, causing people in close proximity to him to find him extremely trustworthy and attractive. These people are also rendered susceptible to suggestion.

Special Traits: Stakeknife is skilled in forgery and disguise.

    That's probably terrible.
