Name: Savellot Midok [SAH-vel-lot MEE-dock]
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Human
Organization: ONI
Appearance:
Savellot is a man of imposing stature. He stands at 6'4" and weighs around two-hundred and fifty pounds (one-hundred and thirteen kilograms). As such, he is not the largest man that's ever been seen around Rust, but he is certainly a formidable presence--broad shoulders, thick-ish arms, great big hands, and his legs look like those of a finely-bred fighting bull. In between his shoulders sits a thick neck, really the perfect size for the head it supports, which is rather sharp-looking: he has a long, straight nose, prominent cheek-bones, and a very strong jaw-line. His two small eyes sit in the blackness beneath his brows (which are quite black themselves, and trace straight lines up to either side of Sav's face, always looking furrowed and mean). The mouth is not quite too-wide, and looks just right on a man of his size. His thick bottom lip, oversized like the rest of him, stays in its proper place, neither protruding nor tucking itself in. Just below his mouth is the start of a great brown beard which extends down almost to the top of his abdomen; this beard would seem excessive if Savellot had any more hair, but besides the beard and his eyebrows, he is hairless. Hairless and pale.
His garb of choice is usually anything that fits him well and makes him feel dignified: crisp, clean ONI uniforms; a collared button-up with slacks and suspenders; and he has a particular fondness for the color red. He has bright red suspenders that he likes to wear with a white button-up, and the laces of his unusually long brogans are the same color red.
Personality:
While he is a very smart, well-spoken man, Savellot is quieter than most. He has no emotion in particular to put into words, so he only speaks what he feels is necessary. That isn't to say he does not feel emotion. Such a claim is very far from the truth; Sav feels very much, but he is in control of what he displays to the world. His manners are impeccable, a trait he chose to learn and instill in himself always. He values the opinions and friendships of others, and so he does his best not to offend. In battle, he appears quite fierce, but that is just a result of his intense visage. He fights with ferocity because ferocity is the only way to survive in a city like Rust. Because of his stature, and the weight of his weapon of choice (a great warhammer), he needs to calculate his movements carefully before acting--which is probably why he is so calculating in everyday life, too.
History:
The Midok family was a large one, filled with potent and grave individuals. They got their beginnings in Magni-stone mines, clawing their way through life by means of brute strength. Excess was not known to the primordial Midoks, only frugality and hard work. Over everything, they valued their strength. By living cheaply, they were eventually able to afford to start their own mining business, and the Midok family mines honed countless generations of strong Midok men. They were a highly revered race, and for a time it was said that they must be touched by some bullish god and that was how they got their strength. Understandably, they felt less and less complimented by such claims as time went on, until finally, mere mention of any "bullish god" in the presence of a Midok was met with an angry glance.
Savellot himself was born long after the genesis of the great clan, well into the age when Midoks lived comfortably in District 2 and nowhere else. That didn't spare him from the mines, of course, but he never minded that. He was always an eager boy, hungry for greatness, and the value that his clan placed on hard work was a huge motivation for Sav. He outworked all of his siblings, of which he had two older brothers and one younger sister, and every last cousin he had. It was well-known in the Midok family that Sav could best any of them in a wrestling match, even his father. Or so it was said.
And the boy's discipline was not applied to physical work alone. While he did have great pride in himself, he never allowed it to show, and was not heard boasting of his prowess even once. His father had such great pride in his Savellot, his youngest boy, that the family's most prized weapon, the warhammer Motusus, was bestowed upon Savellot. It was fitting, of course, because Sav was the only boy who could heft the hammer's extreme weight at the time his father passed. The Midok properties went to his oldest brother, but Sav was the only one fit to carry Motusus.
When Savellot came of age, he vowed to find the bullish god, which was so often associated with his family, and then destroy it. He said that the Midoks were better than any god, and "We became such without need of blessings." He joined ONI as soon as they would have him, and his skill in combat has made him a respected member of the god-killing organization. He will always respect the word of his superiors, disciplined as he is, even if his own values conflict with his orders. Once, after one of the many violent scenes he has taken part in as a member of ONI, he was asked how such a kind-hearted man could take such orders. "I am honor-bound to my superiors," he said, "and honor is the only thing a Midok really has."
Theme Song:
=========================================
Weapons/Items: Motusus, his family's warhammer, boasts a brilliantly-shining haft. It is made of a very dark steel, almost iron-like in appearance, but with an unrivaled sheen. On the end of the haft, there is a mounted sapphire which has been cut into a perfect sphere. The head of the hammer is made of standard steel, and because of its age and extensive use, the metal is not as vibrant as that of the haft. There are no intricate workings whatever on the head; it is simply a great mass of metal.
Powers/Modifications: N/A
Special Traits: Savellot's strength far surpasses that of a normal human.
