Joslin placed her hand on her shoulder as a quiet comfort for her. She knew how she felt somewhat. Joslin led an army into battle and ended up burning at the stake after it was all set and done only to be saved by a random act of chance to be brought here. Under the care of the captain of the guard training her to become the next gatekeeper for heroes to enter this place. "My place is here for now until the next captain is trained and I pass on." Walking quietly back to her chair she nodded towards Reynolds "You are given a choice in the matter you must go across the river and travel downstream. I don't know where it will lead to but it will send both of you to your destination."

Reynolds looked at Joslin with surprise "Trying to get rid of me so soon. Aww and I was just about to like it here."Reynolds replied knowing full well it would be probably be a ticket to hell on what she would send him on.

Joslin turned towards the woman "Your welcome to stay for a day or two to rest and heal but I need to ask you to leave after that." She said as her tone went cold for a second. "It is for our safety as much as yours." In the background the sun was rising in behind the mountains its rays piercing through the fog. "Do we have an accord?

Khielan grimaced a bit as Joslin placed her hand on her shoulder, and she looked at Reynolds "We're ready to set out anytime, what about you?" She then looked at Joslin "Will we be able to come back here after we find what we're looking for? We... We wouldn't like to be... Trapped... In a reality with constant reminders of our subjects and families."

She shook her head quickly, then brushed her hair out of her face, it was really long. So long that it reached down to her waist by now. A warrior probably shouldn't have such a long hair, but it was forbidden for a Princess to have short hair in her culture. She could feel her insides turning around and dreading the idea of seeing the ruins of her home, but hse had to go there, if only to get closure and maybe find the weapon.

"We should rest it has been a long night" Reynolds said as he stretched out "I know you might not want to hear it but you need to relax and besides the hair looks good down"He said with a smirk and then walked out of the office to prepare for the journey ahead of him.

Joslin looked at Khielan and let out a sigh. "I know he seems a bit disrespectful but you have to give the man some credit. Even though his personality will need some work." She opened the blinds to show the riverside with fog receding up to the sky. "Whatever purpose you are here for I think you will both need each other. Take care of him and he will do the same." Opening window she let the cool breeze come through refreshing in the old soul of Joslin.

She sighs, looking down "What am I going to do without my family and subjects..?" After a second she stands up and nods gratefully at Josling "We thank you for your hospitality, we will not forget what you've said to us." With that, she walked out of the building with a quick step and caught up to Reynolds "Mister Reynolds, may we ask where we will be staying? We've no idea where we'll sleep tonight." She said in an almost embarrassed tone, having forgotten to ask that to Joslin and not wanting to go back into the office, embarrassed enough that she had slipped out of usage of the Royal We twice by now.

Reynolds looked at her and smiled a bit at Khielan knowing she probably messed up somewhere along the way. "Right now I suggest you don't worry about it princess." He said as turn to see the sun gleam across the river, not knowing where it goes. It was in his nature to adventure out into the unknown enjoying the challenge whatever it might be. "It is only the morning right now I am just a little hungry, though you must be starving and I know just the place to eat. It has everything you could possibly imagine." He continued on as they walked into the town square all a manner of people dressed in different matters some that seem familiar others completely alien. Roast, pastries, meats and cheeses, drinks from around the world and from different times."

From the hill above Joslin oversaw everything that was below her and saw the two and smiled at the two. "May the grace of god almighty protect you both."she said in french and then kissed the crucifix that she brought up underneath her chest plate and then walked inside to attend to her duties.

This was too much to her, to see all thosek inds of people, the attires, all the kinds of foods, yet nothing that she could recognize as her people. She looked crestfallen for a few seconds until she muttered "Oh..." After that she went to a table and after a bit of thought, grabbed a big piece of meat and a couple bananas along with a weird dark liquid labeled 'Coca-Cola Light'. The bananas were not as big as the ones her people harvested, of course... But they'd have to do. She'd always loved bananas and this wouldn't be the day she started hating them.

She then sat down on the ground cross legged near Reynolds, making sure her cape was not caught under her. "Reynolds, why do you insist in complimenting us? Is there something you want from us?" She asked, remembering the small compliment about her hair, which made her shake it out again, smiling a bit.

Stuck for a moment Reynolds quickly responded after he was done eating his eggs. "You might not be with the times but it is natural for a person to complement another. I couldn't be rude or anything about it, why should I disrespect or say nothing at all when someone deserves some praise for helping fend off the Phage." Reynolds then took a grape and ate enjoying the flavor it gave off from an area much like the Italian hills. "Though for me it usually my custom to treat a lady with respect. Though this can differ with varying ways of defining it... " He pause noticing Khielan's expression "and now i am talking to much. He then took a quiet sip of his drink which was purple. A breeze came up his spine and noticed the cold chill which caused him to sit up straight "Sorry about that. How you are enjoying your food?"

Having already finished the meat and peeled the banana, she looked at reynolds straight in the eye "It's good food. We shall taste if this banana is worthy of our mouth." She says with a small chuckle as she brings her chosen dessert into her mouth, chewing it while still looking at Reynolds. After she was done chewing and swallowing the first bite, she asked, puzzled "So... Let us ask, What does treating a Lady with respect mean to you, Mr. Reynolds..?" It honestly confused her. She knew different nations had different customs from her trips to other territories, but one where males were allowed to touch, stare at and compliment females so freely did baffle her. She was only 23 after all.

"Also, is there any Royalty around here? I'd- I- We'd love to meet them..!" She says, accidentally slipping out of the speech with a light blush.

Reynolds was a bit stumped by what her questions. "Well, If you want to know. Where I am from it is actually lords and ladyships for the most part they were not equals women tended to be considered lower than men." He looked at her baffled expression "It is only in my travels through different places and through talking with the people her is where I finally became what I am. I worked through different times as a street performer, a healer, a sorcerer, a mentor..." He stopped after that thinking to himself about that last one and all he been through. "It was then that I realize it is what I choose my code of conduct."

Reynolds took another bite of his bread and then swallowed it down. "Well as for royalty is concerned we have a few that are here that passing on through." He pointed over to the man in bronze "Overthere is a man about 7000 years from you known as Alexander the Great. Then right there is Sir Justin from King Arthur's court. But other than that some of these people are just heroes. It is not a man or woman of great stature to become a hero it can be anyone. " He said pointing at them all "However some cling to their old customs, but that is my opinion." Reynolds continued as he went another drink and then wiped his face with a napkin. "And over there is Brynhildr, she was the princess of Visigoths and also a Valkyrie, a warrior similar to you I believe. Though she usually drifts between here and Valhalla. "

"It is up to you who choose to associate with and I will not stop you." He said as the sun continue to rise above.

Khielan perks up at the comment of not needing to be a person of stature to be a hero and puts on a goofy smile on her face as she keeps eatin her banana "We remember our first husband- He was a great hero through the land! He came from a humble home in the lower parts of our society... And he was by far the best at attending our needs as well." She mutters the last part, staring off into space as she remembers the times she could spend a night or two with her husbands. How much she had missed them and her subjects, her royal duties, all these years. She just didn't want to accept they were all gone... What was the purpose in life for a Princess if all her subjects were long gone? If her nation was no longer existant?
