    Kiolian |Sci-fi, Steampunk, Fantasy RP|

Aislanga; the revered dragon of the Marlgan deities, was a sacred being said to protect all that dwelt on the planet. It watched over all of Kiolia - summoning the rain and conjuring up the sun when needed. However, every year - as the two first seasons passed by - Aislanga would struggle to produce the strength needed for the colder, darker times. Back in those ancient times, the Marlgan deities would converge and journey to the Temple of Truth. During one of those meetings, Aislanga bowed its great head and asked of it’s advocates what it should do. They replied, “Mold a second creation structured in your likeness to aid you in your difficulties.”

The great dragon left to consider this action for many days, until finally it proved that there was no other option left before it and took to the skies to cast it’s Magick.

Minutes fell into an hour; an hour into two. Until finally, the clouds were torn apart, revealing an apparition bearing similarities to it’s creator. However, as it’s eyes slowly opened, the light golden that shone from Aislanga’s eyes were forgotten in this creature. Instead, a white gaze looked unseeingly out on the world.

It was designated the name Nocturnia.

Nocturnia became the new guardian of the night, along with aiding Aislanga in Autumn and Winter. However, as the seasons passed, and months turned to years. Things changed.

The mirror dragon’s mind was revealed to be unstable. Lashing out at it’s creator, Aislanga’s counterpart took to the skies, forcing the deities to their knees with it’s mental screech. Spreading it’s wings, with the sunlight hitting it’s back, it unleashed hell from above. Small meteors of black fire plummeted from the heavens, lasers easily halved and quartered towns. The once peaceful planet of Kiolia was reduced to a half-scarred rubble of its former self.

Enraged, Aislanga flew upwards in pursuit of Nocturnia. Their silhouettes marked the red of the sky. In the instant the sacred dragon caught up to it’s blind clone, their face-off commenced. For those few seconds of silence, each glared at the opposite. Then Aislanga lunged with a scream, and the first war of Kiolia commenced.

It was said that blood as scorching as lava rained from the skies that day, and the survivors of the holocaust watched in horror as their sacred dragon fought and ripped into it’s own creation.

The Marlgan deities served to defend those that remained - unable to do anything more, unless they face the wrath of their enraged king.

It may have been seconds, minutes or hours later, but soon a blinding light flashed across the world, engulfing everything in it’s cold glow. When this light finally died, the clashing dragons were no more.

With the world a wasteland of its former self, the remaining survivors turned to crafting their own buildings and homes. The deities helping to bring Kiolia back to it’s past glory.

However, in the hundred of years that have passed, changes happened slowly and soon various other ideas came to the fore. The population began creating beasts modelled after Aislanga and soon the first prototypes (small in comparison to their first god) were born.

In the present day, being that the technology is still undergoing many alterations, the prototypes lay more or less forgotten. However, the towns, cities and villages have had a major change. The Marlgan deities, in this time, have forced themselves into a stasis in order to look beyond their world for the Aislanga. Their silence has long since been written down through the generations and soon they and the dragon king have become little more than a memory.
