The Agelings
Hybrids of all of the beings of Kiolia. These creatures have some resemblance to the human race of Earth. Their heights and weights vary, as well as skin and hair colour. All Agelings have pointed ears (which are more or less prominent depending on their parents). As a majority, they are viewed less superior to the other races.
Raktorians
Their full-name being that of Varaktorians. Like a mixture between reptiles and bats, these bipedal beings are one of the most intellectual of the Kiolians. All of them have bands upon the bridge of their small snouts; three for the males, two for the females (although this can sometimes be reversed on rare occasions). They are average in height, ranging from 4 to 5 and a half feet as an adult.
Raktorians have scaled arms, concealed by thick fur of one of the possible varieties: shades of brown, black or red, which droops from their elbows and clings to their bodies. Their ears are large and wide, and they have a nose similar to that of a feline. Their eyes can be of mostly any typical colour, although dark brown, grey and black are the most common. They have pands (a portmanteau of paws and hands), which means they are quite capable of holding things, although they still have a built-in clumsiness when it comes to larger objects.
Some Raktorians are born weak and sickly. Although, these youths are more likely to die young and are often albino (which means they’d suffer from short-sightedness) they are highly liable to be born with psychic abilities.
Mysck [Pronounced ‘Misck’]
Small Kiolians whom are considered to be one of the most trustworthy and loyal of the various races. They have a very high similarity to that of the mouse. Except for the fact that there are more bipedally inclined, and that they are of a higher intelligence. Upon reaching adulthood, a Mysck can be as tall as three feet. Although, don’t let their size fool you, they are perfectly capable of carrying that of which a Raktorian or an Ageling would have trouble with. Not to mention that they’re good at concealing themselves and have special technology that only they can control.
Mysck’s come in a spectacular array of colour types. Some have splodges of black, brown, grey, pale or dark blue across their body; some may be patched, or sporting darker or lighter colour stripes down the chest and stomach; whilst others are completely covered in one particular hue. It’s typical to see them with thicker fur on the top of their head’s, whether it be spiked, curled or otherwise.
The Mysck are most suitable for engineering. Although, a couple of them have become soldiers to protect the peace (or other times spies...).
Dalteriune
The Dalteriune are creatures that prefer to live separately from the other races for the most part. Built like that of a humanoid velociraptor, they are (mostly) civilized, although there are occasions where they break this stereotype (refer to the slave markets section for more information). They have an eye for fashionable clothes and feathers (being that they have an awful lot of them covering their scales).
Back in their hometown the Dalteriune’s have a tendency to travel in style. That is, they journey via Casanthydon; huge four-legged creatures with elongated necks and an array of horns that line the underside of it’s jaws and around the lips. They are the equivalent of a tank and can travel long distances without food or water. The carriers and saddles are designed with a flair for fashion.
They are good businessmen, although they do have the occasional tantrum. When the moon gleams red in the middle of the year, it is advised that everyone stay clear of the Dalteriune’s until the night is over, as they become enraged during this time. Though, they often know ahead of time, and, for those few that live amongst the various populace, lock themselves away somewhere where they won’t cause harm.
Xurions
The Xurion’s resemble hyenas, but are much more humanoid in shape. They vary in fur-shades from brown to grey. However, unlike the majority of Kiolians, they have a set hierarchy: those with manes running along their head and spines are set as the revered ones, whilst those beneath - in order - are spotted and lighter shaded Xurion’s. The females rank the highest in terms of order.
It is common for the Xurion’s to be born with a set of horns. These grow as they age and shape in a seemingly random way up until the point of adulthood. It is said that those with small horns, disregarding colouration and gender, are mistreated and pushed aside.
An awful lot of Xurion’s are often used for bodyguard purposes.
Phantax
The colour-changing Phantax are rather peculiar. Their peculiarity is due to the fact that half of their population are born with wings (feathered or no) whilst the other half remains without. Either way, they are the most stealthy of the races. With similarities to the felines of Earth (disregarding their beaks), the Phantax vary in height just as much as the Agelings.
Many of them have turned to tailoring jobs and/or tinkering, in some cases. Although, there are a certain few that have taken up the teaching of flying lessons for those that wish to try to steer something along the lines of a blimp or a giant metallic bird in future years.
It is said that Phantax have a fifty/fifty chance of being born with the capabilities of shapeshifting into another self-aware individual. Although, their ears, tail, colour-changes and possible wings would be obvious (unless of course they refer to the Mysck for a device that allows them to look the part; particularly useful for personal tasks where they’d prefer to remain in disguise).
Kenbou
A long-eared fairy that lives in the deepest parts of the forest. Although some have decided to eke out a living beyond their old territories. They can switch between standing bipedally or quadrupedally. Their size varies; the tallest recorded Kenbou was said to be six feet. All of them have patterned wings which resemble that of a butterfly’s, though when not in use they cling to their shoulders with a similarity to that of a cloak. The patterns differ with each Kenbou.
Different ‘tribes’ of Kenbou have variations in appearance. Some resemble Agelings (which is a fairly rare occurrence, and spreads rumours of whether or not they are pure-bloods), although the majority of them are considered slightly closer in resemblance to that of a tall Mysck (excepting their long ears, that perch atop their heads and the lack of a long tail, instead sporting a cotton-like fluff).
They are very well versed in different languages and have a deep knowledge of the things that live in Reaching Forest.
Fedorim
Kiolian’s that are just as old a race as Raktorians. Being the most adventurous of the races, the Fedorims were the first to start off the sky pirate trend. Enlisting the help of Mysck’s in order to re-create the designs of the first aerial ship from paper to reality; they became one of the most infamous Kiolians of their time.
With water repellent fur of varying shades of brown, black or grey. The Fedorims are well equipped for both the water and the sky. They have some resemblance to the Mysck, although they are taller, with webbed paws. Their heads are rounded with thick whiskers on their muzzles. Mostly, they have a lighter shaded chest and stomach than their overall fur colour. Their tails are thick and long, making balance for them an easy thing.
One of the most noticeable things about them, is the fact that they have two hearts.
