"Huh?" Rei said blinking, she'd been caught up in her own thoughts. "It's nothing, i was just thinking." She said with a smile.
"Alice use to get that look before she was up to something." Julius warned with a sighed glancing at Jo. Both girls looked similar to their grandmother but Jo had a certain maturity about her that Alice had lacked.

"Well we know now where you got it." Johanna said eyeing her cousin suspiciously. The brunette was always worried about her cousin and now that they were in Wonderland, and with all the stories that they heard about this place and it's people, Jo knew she had to be extra careful in case they tried anything bad.

As the group of four continued to walk down the path of the woods they stopped at the sound of rustling. Peter turned his head toward the bushes. Jo's eyes also watched as a tall, cheerful man popped out. He was wearing a red coat, a sword at his side. "Huh? Oh Peter!" The man said happily. "I never thought I'd be so glad to see you. I was lost for about 3 days trying to find the way to the Castle."
"Of course you were lost! You're always getting lost you dim wit."
"Oh that isn't very nice little bunny." he laughed, taking the white rabbit's insult as a joke.
"I am a rabbit, not a bunny." Peter said offended, obviously not liking the man what so ever.
"Hm? Who are they?" the brunette said as he looked, brown eyes taking in the females as he stepped closer. "I've never seen them before."
"That's because they aren't from here you idiot."
"They aren't?" he continued to ignore Peter's insults. "Than that would make them..."
"Yes, Children of Alice."
The man's face changed from its always cheerful expression to a very serious one, "Alice..." he mumbled softly as he looked at both girls.
Johanna looked at the man in front of them, her body stepping in front of her cousin's slightly to protect her from the tall man, that she recognized to be Ace. Her green eyes held his steadily and Ace froze for a slight second before a smile cracking upon his lips. "Ah, yes of course. So I am guessing you are taking them to Vivaldi. Swell, I need to go to the queen anyways." The man turned away from them and stood beside Peter, as the gang began to walk again toward the castle.

Julius stayed close to Johanna, glancing at her. "I'm sure Alice told you that Ace can act a bit...out of sorts." Julius said searching for a word that wouldn't frighten the girls. "As long as the two of you are in the land of hearts i'll make sure your both safe." He promised though he was mostly talking to Johanna.
Rei scoffed. "I can take care of myself quite well thank you very much." She said crossing her arms.
"I'm sure you could on normal circumstances." Julius sighed.
Rei rolled her eyes before looking up, the castle was finally in view, it was bigger than she'd imagined.

"Thank you, Julius. Our grandmother said many good things about you. So I know we can trust you to keep us safe until we get back home." She looked to Rei. "And you can't say things like that. You know what grandmother Alice said about this place." Her voice was a whisper as she leaned closer to her younger cousin.
As her eyes caught sight of the castle her jaw dropped. It was grand! Amazing! "Wow, I never thought I'd be allowed into a palace..." Jo mumbled to herself, which she realized how unlady-like that was later. But being in Wonderland looking at all the very interesting, mythical places. She just couldn't help but feel amazed.
As they got closer to the gate there were two guards in the front, Jo looked at them, her eyes widening and her stomach churning. They didn't have no faces. She had remembered her grandmother telling them about the many citizens of Wonderland who were like fillers of a story, all of them with no face. In Johanna's mind she did not expect them to look as scary, but being in front of them, to see them in real life, it gave her the chills. To have no face...
"Come along, come along." Peter said as he entered through the gates, followed by Ace, Jo, Rei and Julius who was stopped to be checked for any weapons.
"Right, are you guys still in that war?" Johanna asked, to anyone really, who ever could answer her.

"For the most part we are." Julius sighed. "None of us are really at peace." He told her with a small shrug. He was keeping an eye on Jo, making sure Peter and Ace didn't get to close to the young lady.

Rei smiled, she'd snuck away from the others. "Now for some fun." She sang softly as she wandered, she was hoping to end up at the Amusement park or at least at the Hatters Mansion.
