    Halp

So, I'm trying to install Westeros: Total War, but I can't seem to get it to run.

I have the automatic installer put it into the mod folder, and it winds up there along with Americas, Teutonic, etc. etc., but I can't seem to activate it, even through the batch file in the Westeros file. For those of you who've installed total conversion mods, what can you tell me?

What I had to do to get Third Age Total war is to put the file in with the other campaigns and re-name it to Crusaders/Teutonic/Whatever, then move the original vanilla campaign folder by that name out. Then when you launch the game click on, for example, Crusader if that's what you renamed the mod folder too. It's basically to trick the launcher into thinking it's loading up a vanilla campaign.

No, it's literally just right-click and rename on one of the four campaigns, then click-and-drag the old campaign out. Then launch the game.

Right. Well, you said the installer has put the folder in the campaigns folder, right? So you should have it, Crusader, Teutonic, Britannia and Americas in there. Just right-click and click rename on, for example, Teutonic, and rename it to 'Westeros' or whatever the mod folder is called. Then click and drag the old Teutonic folder out onto the desktop, or somewhere else safe. Then launch the game and click on 'Teutonic' on the launcher. And it should work.

Right. So I renamed it Americas, actually. I'm going to try that right now.

Aye, it works for any of them. It's just to name the launcher think it's loading up one of the vanilla campaigns, when it's actually loading custom content.

It works, but unfortunately it crashed when I attempted to start the campaign. Sad. ):

Check the thread where you found the mod, there might be a patch or something to fix it.
