BTW, what would everybody think if we said our city was a West Coast city that's part of the massive metro around L.A.? Something along the lines of Santa Barbara, Stockton, San Bernadino, etc.? Street level gangs are becoming a massive problem, the police force is overwhelmed due to budget cuts, etc. ...a time for heroes and a place that needs them.

OK, I'm back. It looks like we have three players and a GM, and I think that would be enough to start. I may have a fourth available. So, please give me an opinion on two things before I start an OOC:

1. Give me your take on the city proposal above.

2. Do we want to start with the characters all together already? I think it would save time and make story sense, and we could do a second IC thread for "flashbacks" if you guys so desire.

As far as the city goes I like the idea of street gangs being massive. The name San Bernindo sounds good. As far as being near the coast goes, I like the sound of it.

Interested & familiar with coastal Californication. I think the start point should be where you, the GM, would be most comfortable. What system are you using?

1. OK, let's definitely say then that we have a coastal city in California that is fictional, located somewhere near L.A. and at least part of it is coastland. That gives us docks to fight in, oohrah! Ditto for massive gangs and a besieged police force.

2. We'll start you all out as a team already formed, and if you guys want I'll establish a second IC thread for flashbacks.

3. Tunafish, I like your idea. I had planned on doing this freeform, mostly due to my lack of superhero game systems. If that's a problem, let me know.
