Really? I learned to not give out my information at a young age. All of the schools taught us that. I guess some people will just never listen, even if it's for their own good. =/

On a related note of an incident in which occured not too many years ago:

Late at night, some girl (about 17) is walking down the street, under-dressed for the winter-ish weather we were experiancing, and had a bruise next to her eye.

My father, hearing this over the football-game on TV, let her into the house so she could call the proper authorities and some friends for a place to crash. We then allowed her to wait and warm-up next to the kitchen heating-register and recompose herself. She was also kept under observation to deter theft and suicide (it was kinda awkward and quiet, since I would've rather gotten back to the forums and school Hataria on ... something).

Well, the authorities arrived, and allowed her into protective-custody as they left to straighten the domestic-dispute out all legal-like. We never heard what became of the incident.

Good for you Good to know there are good people like you out in the world.

But yes, there are a lot of incidents that happen like this. JUst because you have not heard of what happened, I am sure the authorities took care of it and she is safe.
