Oookay, Attempt number one of the Character that I discussed with Rethel =3 If there's something I must change or should I need to elaborate more detail, I shall be happy to do so. Also I noticed that there seemed to be nobody who took the 'one available Red gem, so I thought I'd take a shot there, I can just replace it with a vulnerary if that's preferred.]
Name: Ausifa Elahmer
Title: None yet
Tier: Base Tier - Light Mage [priest? o.o should he be able to heal to as a light mage? >.>]
Weapon Type: Light Tomes
Build Type: Skilled
Weapons: Purge, Ellight, Light
Items: Vulnerary [3/3], Red Gem, Coin X 1
Appearance: Ausif has a Tall lithe structure at around 6'2", being quite flexible and stronger than he looks. [which doesn't mean much for a mage honestly.] He also has an elaborate Fore-head tattoo that is often hidden beneath his hat or his hair.
I am aware that the character in the picture is not a mage, But his appearance is perfect for someone coming from the desert. However If needed, I shall certainly hunt down a better reference or replace it with a full description.
Personality: Ausif displays himself most often as a standard calm, Intelligent Mage type, seeming to always be in perfect control of his emotions no matter the situation, only occasionally having been known to even flinch visibly. He 'is' however known to have a razor sharp wit and to be completely honest with things he says... Sometimes Brutally honest, though he can display tact when it is relevant to achieving proper ends. He also has a habit of feeling the need to 'put someone in their place' for certain reasons, whether someone is acting prideful, disrespectful, unnecisarily entitled... He's not the type to be left in the presence of spoiled nobles for extended periods of time. Regardless of his other qualities, He demonstrates a vast capability to learn, strategize effectively, and execute effective team-work where possible, though he may not be the most friendly companion, He is no less dedicated to minimizing the casualties around him.
Ausif comes from the far nother, In the Codoron Desert, Though little is known about him from before he moved Southward aside from his being a half-breed Laguz Exile of a breed that he doesn't share with people. Reportedly, he has moved southward to escape hunting parties that were attempting to 'take his hide', so to speak, due to some as yet unknown event that he also won't share, but it has led to him wandering the Chaotic Southern countries.
He did some basic mercenary work for a short while, experimenting with different weapons and fighting styles to find which would fit him best, ultimately settling upon the use of Magical Tomes, and recieving rudimentary training from a fellow mercenary Mage. For a couple of years this went on, though his reputation wasn't as flashy as most of the others, he didn't desire it to be, being that he was trying to remain under the radar, but the time as a mercenary sufficed for gaining him certain Connections that would be helpful to him for years to come. The most important factor, to him, about his time as a mercenary was the experience, and the analysis of battles that took place around him, coupled with certain other qualities of his allowed him to quickly develope a valuable basic knowledge of combat.
As things turned out, word eventually reached the local mercenary groups of his head being valuable to certain parties up north, though some had no reason to turn on him for it, enough became a threat that he was inticed to dissapear once more. A certain friend of his suggested that a good place to vanish to would be the Edean Military, They'd likely have enough need of able fighters that they'd allow a willing former mercenary to enlist, and nobody hunting him would expect him to turn in the midst of a Country's Military Force.
It took a little convincing, given that he was a complete stranger from a foreign land, but perhaps it was considered that adding some diversity to the forces would be beneficial, or perhaps some mercenary work had been noticed, Either way, his induction into the Edean Army was fairly fluid and routine. He had only one worry on his mind, The secret that he was thoroughly keeping being found out by someone he couldn't trust, He had to be very careful not to become suspicious or He could be in some serious trouble.
Of course, the Country was already in a thorough state of war, And it took no time at all for him to be assigned to the front-line, Even though quite a stranger, He assigned to a unit serving under one, General Thane, one who was likely to utilize his skills regardless of his origins. When he asked, all information that he was given on Thane was that he was an incredible man, a Brilliant commander, a Great Warrior with strong loyalty to his country, and despite his capability in battle, still was one of the Kindest people in Edea. There was much conflict in his mind as he traveled to join up with the platoon, He was very cautious about his secret, but this was going to be front-line combat, He needed to trust the commander he'd be serving under, and likewise would need to acquire the Commander's trust as well.
Under such necessity he approached General Thane, requested a private conversation, he considered perhaps that he was only allowed to have that privacy because the men imagined General thane could anihilate him if he turned out to be an assassin, which in his current state and close quarters was very likely. In the soon acquired privacy he Confided in the General, sharing his true story and every detail about himself that could be considered relevant to one's commander, though it was unacceptable to be completely secretive from the rest of the platoon, certain details were allowed to be kept silent until Ausif would feel comfortable making them known. For the Time being it would be more than enough that The Commander knew everything, and still trusted him to be a member of the platoon, it was an interesting sensation, being trusted by someone who was a stranger to him, he felt the distinct urge to avoid betraying that trust.
It was quickly revealed to the other members of the platoon that the new addition was an 'exile' from one of the beast races from the northern lands, though he expected some tension to be caused by this, particularly due to the aggression with some southern beast races, It seemed to be a lesser issue due to coming from 'lands of order' and because of Thane expressing no issues with his presence.
