Yes, there was (and still is) a Civil War between the Roses and the Eagles, the Asperians sided with the Roses until Roran Hawkins was killed, and they're now looking for a peace treaty.
And yes, there was also recently a Civil War in Vinngealos too, wherein power was taken by Aedan.

In other events, Saeron was liberated from the evil Sultan and is now ruled by the Council of the Wise, headed by Alhomam bin Nimr Al Wah'Shey. They are currently training up their 'Army of the Cause' into a proper Saeronian army until the 'Sajinnary Project' comes into fruition in fifteen years.
They plan to attack Dunkura soon, but this is top secret, ONLY the Council of the Wise knows, and each is one hundred percent loyal, never get drunk, can take down most armed men and can endure torture to death to boot. So no one is finding out about these war plans until everyone finds out.

Ah I see - okay thank you, that's pretty clear now. I misunderstood and thought Asper attacked Cavenin using the civil war there as a excuse. So they sided with the Roses - that makes sense okay cool

the original intent WAS to invade but the king died the day the arrived, they only ever attacked the portal town they docked in. Hassis needed a husband to take the throne and had no interest in invading Cavenin. she made a deal with Roran Hawkins and put her army at his disposal to fight the eagles

Yup, so originally it was totally to take advantage of Cavenins weakened state, once the King died however, Hassis decided to side with the Roses.

But if Asper attacked the town they docked in wouldnt Cavenin protest such an action and wouldnt it put Venngealos on alert since they are there to keep the peace?
