No problem! Usually this RP is free, but I have a plotline for the upcoming events, so if you want to finish any conversations, please do so now. I'll post that the day of the wedding etc has started at least the 18th or the 19th of January.
Sweet. I hope my post is okay - sometimes it is a little difficult when trying to work out what may have already been established and things. I'm assuming that the wedding ring thing isn't a closly guarded secret and Elizabeth could of read about it in a history book type thing?
If I do ever make a mistake or contradict something already established just let me know and I can edit.

I can't remember what I said about the ring, lol, but it IS indeed mentionned in a history book of Kanorth royal families, Hassis showed it to Roran when she proposed the union to him.
The royal blood line has been female for four generations and the ring is given to the chosen husband at the engagement ceremony as a symbol of trust and given to the bride at the wedding
Hassis is being forced to marry Gamel because he is blackmailling her, one way or the other he would have gotten the ring, either by theft or by Hassis telling her uncle to give it up.
Perhaps several hundred years ago the ring might have been used in the way you say in your post
