Prologue

November 12, 2742

Footsteps echoed quietly throughout the plasteel corridors. The steps were widely spread as the lower gravity of the moon had the person walking taking large bounding leaps instead of simple steps one after another. He arrived rapidly at his destination, years in low gravity environments giving him a great deal of practice at navigating quickly when the need arose.

"Col. Gloval," he said and snapped off a quick salute. The Colonel stood with his back to him staring out through the windows of the observation deck at the Sea of Tranquility.

"Corporal?" he asked, both acknowledging the young man’s existence and asking what he wanted with a single word.

"Word has reached us from Titan command."

"What is it?"

"The Knights were dropped over an hour ago, I have the first transcript of their audio transmission planet-side." He held out a data pad which the Colonel took and scrolled through.

Dare: Delta formation. Keep it tight ladies; I don't want any surprises down here.

Nightmare: Yes, Sir.

Fury: Yes.

Merlin: Affirmative, come on Ice, can't you just say yes like the rest of us?

Ice: Yes, is not accepted military procedure for acknowledging commands from a superior officer.

Dare: Shut it people. Keep the communications line open for actual communications, not inane banter.

Fury: Sir.

Nightmare: Sir.

Ice: Affirmative.

Truth: Sir.

<Static>

Ice: What was that?

Dare: What? Ice did you see something?

Ice: I'm not sure, Sir. Over there, behind the foliage. I thought I saw something.

Dare: Fury check it out, Merlin keep an eye on us. Nightmare, heavy arms ready.

Nightmare: Got it sir.

Merlin: <Static>

Dare: Merlin?

<Gunfire in background.>

Dare: Merlin! Report!

Fury: Fuck!

Greetings!

The basic premise of this rp is a futuristic adventure/horror genre (with influences from both the Alien series and Firefly series). You will be playing a member of a less than reputable space salvage company on a mission to the long lost colony on the moon of Titan. Then again, fortune or no, perhaps there is a reason no one has set foot on the planet in decades....

Our coGM, Pockets, and I started this idea a 1x1. As we laid the groundwork we realized this story desperately wanted to be a group. We are both excited for the fun that will come from this story, and have loose outline of where and how we want to see this story to progress, all it needs now is a strong team of dedicated players!

We are looking for 4 to 6 players (max 6). If you are interested please post here, and as soon as we have enough interest we will post up an OOC and look to jump into the IC soon after that.

Yes and no. Much of this will be outlined in the OOC (stay tuned ), but you will essentially be a freelancer/Salvager (similar to a crew that might look for lost treasures in the oceans) and will likely be playing a fairly well-rounded and relevant character. Think Firefly if you have seen/know of the TV series.

All PC's will be non-military.

As Merlot stated above you will be part of a less than reputable salvage company that has decided to land on Titan in search of things to, well.... salvage. Treasure and fortune is what you seek but not exactly what you'll find on Titan. (that should go on the travel pamphlets)

Kinda sorta yeah. Like you said less the Board and steal and more the, "Hey there's a chunk of the old Jupiter II satelite nearby, yeah it's scheduled to be slagged end of the week. Let's sneak aboard and see if there's anything valuable left behind."

(still going with the firefly theme here) Overall not against taking jobs or searching places for treasure where they shouldn't be but also willing ot take on reputable employment when it can be found. Make sense?

Whoot! Happy to hear it. Now keep in mind it isn't exactly Firefly and Aliens, there won't be face huggers or acidic blood as far as I know. (merl might have plans she hasn't told me about) But it is kinda inspired by those two so should still be lotsa fun.
