Name: Anzhelina Katushka
Age: 18
Appearance:
Soul Gem: Anzhelina's Soul Gem appears a charred, dark red with its various metallic struts and bindings colored like coal. Its top symbol appears as a
black sun, surrounded by a red circle. The Gem is located hanging from her collar necklace.
Weapon: Anzehilna's weapon is in fact four separate entities, her "
Knights of the Black Sun".
Wish: Anzhelina wished for heat, eternal warmth amidst a blizzard in the middle of nowhere.
Personality: Anzhelina is an open-minded, friendly, and compromising individual. She was raised as the daughter of a hard-working coal miner with no mother, and so took on some boyish characteristics, including a lack of disgust in dirtiness or sweat-inducing activity; she was always eager to show off, "...how tough she could be," to her father. She was nevertheless careful and well-behaved, still preferring to wear girl's clothing and act flirtatious with the local boys. Anzhelina is certainly a people-person, able to put aside differences and her own desires to listen to the needs and wants of others, as well as understand them.
She prefers to work
with others, rather than alone, and is willing even to make do with partners that couldn't even appreciate her presence or openness. She tries hard to 'convert' others into being more friendly and happy, which can sometimes pass off as obnoxious or bubbly. Nevertheless, Anzhelina is still capable of error, and becomes angry at those who harm others, even to the point of becoming physical herself. She is intolerable to quarreling, and becomes flustered at the mere thought of ridiculous fighting and jeering. It suffices to say, she has a heat of rage inside her that can easily be fueled.
History:
Anzhelina Katushka, pride and joy of her mother and father. Unfortunately, her mother perished soon after, already a sickly woman. The baby was left in the care of her father, whose frequent coal mining ventures left her in the care of a neighbor's older daughter. In the Russian lands, the air was cold and the ground colder, though the village persisted in living out in the harsh environment with bravery and fortitude. Anzhelina was taught a unified village could solve any problem the world threw at them, even some of the coldest temperatures on the planet. The young girls relished every moment she could spend time with her coal-covered, dirty, sweaty father at home. She idolized him, and did everything she could to alleviate his tiring occupation. Her babysitter/nanny taught her to cook simple foods, something she jumped at the chance to make for her dad.
For several years she passed by the deadly winter uninhibited and unabashed. With the help of everyone in the village, they survived the season with grit and hard work. The villagers were close enough -despite the village's rather large size- that homes turning out to be particularly cold during the season were welcomed in as friendly guests. Anzhelina got to know nearly everyone by name, and few did not know of hers. She was a common sight even in the snow, working to clear driveways and bring in wood for various homes. She prided herself in how good of a samaritan she was, even saying she was the, "...hardest working lass in the whole country!"
But the easiness of life in the village was not to last. Anzhelina was still young, innocent, and inexperienced to what could truly happen during the winter. At age 14, Anzhelina encountered the worst snowstorm and coldest temperatures she had ever known of. The village was on lockdown due to the cutting winds and dismal cold brewing outside. Her father fell ill mere days before, and with a terrible flu could not stand the cold. The wood was running out over the course of a few days as the blizzard continued, and she was forced to seek for extra wood from other homes.
Anzhelina went door to door across streets despite being battered by the wind and cold. She began to freeze outside as she desperately tried to seek out extra fuel for the fire in her own home. Suffering an oncoming hypothermia, she headed home in disappointment, but found her legs frozen in place. Paralyzed by the cold and unable to produce flowing tears, she fell to her knees and waited for the blizzard to take her life. Even amidst the white snow, she could see a small white creature approach her. It offered her a single wish in return for fighting 'witches'. Vision limited and mind fading, she mustered the only words and thoughts she could consider;
"I wish... Heat forever... For me and people around me."
Instantly she was revitalized with a powerful internal flame, and her legs could move once more. She could brave the cold without battering an eyelid, and her mere presence melted even the harshest ices before her. Anzhelina broke into a run for her home, only to find her father had died from the temperature before an extinguished fireplace. Distraught and depressed, Anzhelina fled her home for the only place she thought herself further useful; a so-called 'Yules' permeated by witches and familiars. She lives alone in an Underclass District Home, and eagerly takes on witches at every chance.
Weapon Abilities:
Each 'weapon' appears as a knight in scorched black armor, wielding a large sword whose hilts appear made of a brittle and dusty black material. Anzhelina telepathically manipulates the four knights, which are mindless without at least some directive. Simple commands can allow the knights to act independently until the general order is completed, but will not stray from the directive unless told to do so, no matter the situation.
The knights have no true body, instead being animated armors with a glowing ember inside their chest plates. As like Anzhelina, the knights exhibit a powerful heat around their bodies which can melt ice and warm individuals nearby. Touching their armors with bare skin is dangerous, as they exceed furnace temperatures. Defeating one is not permanent, and causes them to explode in a blast of black flame, and they require time before piecing themselves back together. They cannot fly, jump high, or run particularly fast, but are very durable. Anzhelina can increase the number of knights, though each subsequent iteration after the original four begin to loose physical power and ability to sustain their form when under attack.
Magic Abilities:
[Living Heat]
Anzhelina emits a powerful heat in her magi form, able to melt ice and warm an entire household merely by being present. Her skin is hot to the touch, and she can concentrate the ability to specific areas of her body to increase the temperature. She is immune to cold temperatures and is able to stand fire-like temperatures without being burnt.
[Inexhaustible]
Her internal flame instills in Anzhelina an inhuman endurance and stamina, rendering her inexhaustible from tiring.
[Nuclear Furnace]
As Anzhelina is damaged by either physical or magical attacks, her internal flame becomes more 'open' to the world, increasing the temperature of the heat she emits, even to the point of being capable of melting steel merely being nearby if she is near death.
