I've used almond milk in my smoothies for...idk, a long time now. It seems to work pretty well! But I guess fruit vs protein powder is different. lol

Corn Pasta or Corn-Rice blended pasta is however, Goddamn amazing. Better than any manufactured wheat based pasta I have ever had.

My father is Celiac, so my dinners have become gluten free. I eat red meat, I eat poultry, I eat pork, fish, just about anything. Personally I vastly prefer Bison to Beef though. More flavour, and a hell of a lot less..."medically altered" in general. I'd say....we eat beef/red mean 2 or 3 times a week depending, but most of our diet is composed of chicken or pork. When we have beef, it's either steaks, or me going crazy with a roast of some kind for the hell of it.
My main problem with Veganism, personally, is that I find way too many vegetables disagreeable in flavour. Or down right goddamn disgusting. Specifically the healthy ones, like asparagus, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, bean sprouts, green beans, wax beans, egg plant, radishes...gimme enough time, and I'd probably make a list of vegetables I don't like longer than the ones I do. Not big on nuts other than cashews and peanuts either. Walnuts are ehn, okay, Almonds get sickening after a while, hazel nuts are repulsive.
I have messed up taste. Don't know why. Wish I didn't. I make up for it in being willing to try anything? Well...except rotting duck feotus, surstromming, and there was something else that I made the decision that I will never try to eat. Otherwise, I'm pretty willing to try anything.
edit: I only have 1 (okay, dieticians would probably call it 2.5) servings of dairy on average per day. Cereal. Milk. Nom. And I hate coconut, and pineapple. No, I don't know why.

Coconut, palm, and palm kernel oils contain saturated fats. Using safflower, corn, olive, canola, and peanut oils can lower your cholesterol.
But yeah, vegans consume a cholesterol-free diet.
Edit: Oops. Forgot to mention, the body produces all of the cholesterol you need sooo yeah we're fine.

Of course I educate people on what they're putting into their bodies. That's how I get them to eat healthier... It encourages them. They need the motivation.

It all depends upon how you cook it. Use a plethora of different seasonings and you won't even be tasting it. Try searching for different recipes that use the vegetables you despise, and try a few of them out. I'm sure there's one out there you will like, you just have to search for it.
A lot of substitute meats taste similar to the actual meat (depending on what brand you get. Some are just downright nasty I'll admit.) They are generally made of soy or mycoprotein.
