Hubris of Man: Not Everything is Black and White

    It Entrances You.

A middle aged man walks down the alleyway, almost regretting that they are clear and without criminals to force him to forget about the hellish day he's had. Lost in regret, sorrow, hatred, and misery, he lumbers on, his footsteps heavier than the pavement the walk upon. That's when he feels it. A simple beat, a higher quicker beat followed by a lower longer beat, almost like a pulse. It hypnotizes him, drawing him by a hook in something so primal humanity has forgotten it. He finally arrives in a daze at Club Limbo. A balding man in a very untidy business suit hardly seems like the kind of person they'd let into this nightclub, but as he enters, the hostess greets him with lustful enthusiasm. Her long dark hair cascades down her shoulders to a low cut shirt that leaves little to the imagination, as she bites her glossy lips and leans into him and leads him by the arm. His mind lost, he doesn't note the otherworldly denizens and visitors to this haven from the harsh and bitter whims of fate.

    It Enraptures You

Seating the man down, the hostess kisses the man on the cheek and tells him everything will be better soon. He dumbly nods as she returns to the entrance to await the next 'guest'. A woman of equal appeal sits next to the man, slowly massaging his shoulders and asking him what's wrong. The man wipes the drool from his lip and proceeds to unload his burdens, unafraid of being rebuked. As he sinks further into his tale, another tail forks about the legs of the chairs, tickling and teasing the man's legs. The woman he now sits with is a Succubi, or demon who feeds upon lust and negativity. The man will be given a night of primal ecstasy, his lamenting over, and will awaken in a nearby motel, invigorated and none-the-wiser that he had been host to such an unholy being. He will not remember the night, chalking it up to a drunken haze, and tackle life with an iron will to succeed. Such is the nature of Limbo, a haven from the harsh reality of life, and a provider for relief.

OK, so here's the scoop on Hubris. I want this RP to be an exercise into the the Morality of Misery; I want miserable people to try and vent in what ever way you see fit. As characters, you will work as 'waiters and waitresses', or relievers of misery, because it allows you to feed on it and that's how you live. You are a demon; as for what type, I leave it to your imagination. I used the ever so popular mid-life crisis to illustrate how things work. You treat the customers with respect and basically solve their problems, but usually in a darker way. A simple concept, but with a lot of potential to grow if people are willing to invest time and patience.

Ok,so by solving her their problems in a darker way....You mean like, lets say a man came in complaining that his wife always says he looks ugly. A character would solve this by causing an accident that takes away the women's sight ? Also could we play as the customers ?
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

Okay got me interested. And the costumers will be who?
-a warrior is guided, driven by heart and mind, a solider goes to war and dies.
-greatness comes to those who take it.
