The Prince
~I have died everyday, waiting for you~
The Malfoy manner was filled with commotion on the morning of September 1st. It had so happened that this day was a Sunday, normally the Malfoy's were in work all day, and young Scorpius Malfoy would have been at his grand parents house. But since it was a Sunday he wasn't. Instead he was sitting in the kitchen surrounded by maids, butlers, cooks, and house elves storming around trying to sort everything out for this morning.
This was because this Sunday was no ordinary Sunday. It was the first day of the school term, and the first day of school for eleven year old Scorpius. He was going to Hogwarts for the first time, and being completely honest with himself, Scorpius wasn't very excited. In fact he was in a pretty crappy mood; which was rather rare.
His mother, Astoria Malfoy, had woken him at five o'clock in the morning. Scorpius wasn't very pleased at all. What was the point of getting up so early when there was plenty time? But before he could protest, his mother had started to dress him into the brand new school uniform.
"Mother! I can dress myself! I'm not a baby anymore!" he protested when Astoria started pulling his shirt off. But in reply to her son's feeble words she just scoffed.
When she finished Scorpius ran down the stairs blushing furiously. Thank god he was going to be alone for almost a whole year. Tough change his parents would let him stay for the Christmas holidays though. Now Scorpus was sitiing in the large kitchen staring intently at a piece of toast in front of him. He bit onto the soft bread but the food refused to go down his throat. After a while of struggling, he swallowed the toast feeling like a rock was scraping against his throat and threw the rest of it in the bin. The cook threw young Malfoy a nasty look, but he smirked in return and walked out looking for his father.
"Father!" he shouted up the great staircase. His voice hit the walls and bounced off creating an echo that repeated his words a dozen times. Just as the voices hushed a blond man, looking extremely similar to his son, walked down the stairs.
"What's up, little man?" he asked his son smiling. Unlike Scorpius and Astoria, Draco was a lot more modern in a way.
"Nothing father, I was just wondering, when are we leaving?" Scorpius raised his eyebrow. He couldn't wait to leave his overprotective parents, sorry mother, for the first time.
"We still have two hours kid, don't worry, time will fly by. I remember my first day." Just as Scorpius turned on his heel and was about to walk away Draco added: "And remember Scorpius, don't mess up on the first day. I made a lot of mistakes that I regret right now...Scorpius promise me you'll take a chance on the Weasley's and Potter's?"
Scorpius nearly tripped over his own foot.
"What! Those blood traitors? For my whole life you and mother have told me to stay away as far as possible from them and now you suddenly change your mind. Besides, it's my life. I decide who I want to be friends with. Thanks for the advice anyway. Father."
Platform 9 and 3/4 was a total mess. There were large families and children running about. The platform was practically overflowing. Ron Weasley was pretty sure that every year it had never been this packed. Maybe it was true that the world was getting ovefilled. He came back to earth amd looked at his children. Rosie was consoling Hugo, who desperately wanted to go too. Ron couldn't help but remember the way his little sister Ginny was when he was about to go.
"Don't worry Hugo. Soon you'll be going too. Time flies." Hermione smiled at her husband. It was true. He had changed.
Ever since she had married Ron he had changed for the better. Hermione was happy that he finally had the perfect family. It was all he ever wanted. It was all he ever wanted, to settle down and live a happy life. She sighed to herself with a small smile.
"Daddy's right Hugo, don't worry"
Rose hugged Hugo and smiled at her parents.
"Look Hugo! There's Albus, James and Lily!" Rose shouted and ran toward the smallest child. The brunette girl, name Lily Luna, nearly fell as the older girl hug-tackled her cousin.
Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione sighed in unison. Their kids saw each other everyday, yet every time they saw each other they acted like it was the first time in years.
"Kids, it's time to go!" Harry nodded toward the green and red train. The man standing near the closest door to them had started calling out to the parents to gather their children. The train was leaving.
They hurriedly kissed each oyher goodbye and said their last fairwells. The older children jumped nto the train.

Just as the train started to move and the group had settled down, something distracted Rose.
"Hey, who's that?" she questioned loudly, making everyone in the compartment look around. Most of them shrugged, but it was Albus who answered.
"That's little Scorpius Malfoy. Well, well, isn't this a lovely coincidence?" he smirked. "I don't know who the other kid is though. Never seen him before...I guess we'll have to find out!". He opened the door and tapped the boy on the shoulder.
