"I don't think my father would like that, I'm sorry." Scorpius spoke slowly. It wasn't like Cai was to know about the dark mark permanently left on his fathers forearm. If Scorpius had even dared to ask his father about anything, he already knew everything anyway, he was pretty sure Draco would disown him. Scorpius felt bad for letting Caius down, but there really wasn't anything that the blonde could do.

He stared at the piece of material in his hand. It did look like the Dark Mark, but there was something about it that Scorpius couldn't quite place.

"Hmm, I'm not quite sure what that is.." He started off. Rosie was about to butt in but Scorpius gave her a small pinch and she closed her mouth. "I'll try asking someone about it if you want." He took the emblem from Cai's hand and felt a small cold shiver pass through his body as their hands touched. He imminently let do of the drawing which floated to the ground. Pulling himself back together he reached down and picked up the paper. "Sorry." he muttered smiling awkwardly at Caius.

"I'm not really sure how we can find your father Cai, have you ever asked the people at your orphanage? Maybe your mother said something about your father? A name or something, I'm sure anything could help. Oh! Do you have a middle name perhaps? That could help. I don't quite remember what was your last name before the adoption? If we piece all of these things together we could find something out. Any small thing really is a big help." Rosie said proudly smiling at Cai.

Caius frowned a bit when Scorpius didn't take the offer of asking his father, though he understood why. Nowadays, the previous deatheaters were either in Azkaban or prefered staying mute about this whole deal. It was in the pastand they prefered it would stay in the past. Caius glanced at Scorpius once he dropped the piece of cloth with the emblem and pursed his lips, raising an eyebrow at the blondes' odd behaviour. But he scoofed it away."Yeah, thanks." He said calmly and sighed running a hand through his hair.

As Rosie added to the blondes words, Caius turned to her and shrugged it away."The orphanage didn't know my mother, they said someone left me near their doorstep. And this piece of cloth was there, and a small note with my name. They told me my last name once but I forgot it... Since there was a time I didn't want to have anything to do with my family." He said and pursed his lips."As for a middle name.. That'd be Tom. The last name was something with Dirrle.. Or.. I don't remember." He said calmly and shrugged it off.

"Maybe we could go to the library and check for any information.. I'm not sure." He said and shrugged it away again. He was rather confused about the whole deal, figuring that if his father would want him to find him, he would left him more clues about his existence.

Rosie looked at Scorpius. They were both thinking the same thing.

Tom Riddle.

That was the only explanation. But how could it be? It couldn't be possible. Tom Riddle, otherwise known as....Voldemort...was at least 70 years old when he died, and Cai was born about 2 years after his death. Rosie shook her head. It was impossible. But...how was it that the woman in the orphanage did not realize anything when he was brought in? Scorpius' eyes widened when Cai mentioned looking in the library. There was about 100% chance that he would find out who Tom Riddle was, and both Scorpius and Rosie didn't want that to happen.

"You know what, I've changed my mind." Scorpius said, swallowing. "Hey! Cai, it's Christmas, don't worry. We have a lot of time left. We should go down to breakfast and when we come back there will be presents on our beds like every year." Scorpius smiled. Maybe distracting and bribing Cai would work.

Rosie nodded. "You game Cai? I wonder what I got this year, I asked mom for a new broom..." Rosie started blabbing on about some irrelevant stuff, obviously trying to distract Cai.

"Tom Riddle...seriously?" Scorpius whispered to himself.

Caius noticed the sudden change of mood between the two of his friends.. What was so odd by his last name? And why for god sakes were they trying so badly to change the subject? It was almost too obvious. Cat frowned a bit and glanced at the two sighing a bit."No, I think I'll look up in the library anyway, I'm not that hungry anyway." He said calmly and sighed a bit before getting up and running a hand through his raven hair. Once he was on his way to the library he felt a strong jolt of pain running through his body as he clenched and leaned against the handle of the stairs."Tch.. What the hell?" He gasped a bit as he felt himself choking a bit. Unluckily for him there was nobody around, most of the pupils were eating breakfast.

"Caius! Are you okay?" A low toned voice was herd from the hall as a man, wearing a long dark cloack approached to Caius. He helped him up and glanced at him slightly confused."Whats wrong??" He asked as he helped the boy up on his feet and supported him. Cai glanced at himand gulped."Proffesor Fletcher.. I .. I don't know I felt a sudden ache all over my body and.. Ghn.." Suddenly, the pain dissolved. As if it was never there. Caius stood up and blinked, rather confused."I'm okay though, it's okay.. Really." Caius reassured the older man and then stood up.

Flethcer glanced at him and nodded sighing."Be more careful.. Now go ahead for breakfast, comon' " He said and led him towards the dining hall.Once Caius was finally there he found Scorpius and Rosie and sat beside them sighing a bit."Hey." He said calmly and started to eat.

"Hey, thought you were going to the library?" Rosie spoke quietly, biting her lip rather than the food.

"Yeah, why was Fletcher with ya?" Scorpius questioned with his mouth half filled with toast. "What did ya do?" he smirked slightly.

Scorpius had almost forgotten about the whole Riddle sitiuation, but Rose was still gnawing at her lip, tearing it down whilst thinking. Did Voldemort have any relatives with the same name? Maybe there were more than one Tom Riddles in the world... Of course, that was it. Maybe Cai's father was just unfortunately names after the Dark Lord. Rosie gave out a breath of relief. She picked up her spoon and started cramming the cereal into her mouth, milk dribbling out of her mouth sometimes.

"Rosie you tramp.." Scorpius joked around, punching the ginger girl on the arm playfully. She looked at him and smirked, milk coming out of her mouth again. She wiped her face with her sleeve and swallowed.

"Eat more Cai, it's delicious..!" She smiled at the boy who was eating rather slowly.

Caius shot Scorpius a glare when he asked what they were doing. He knew exactly what it meant, but he didn't need to bring it up in front of everyone.. Right? He sighed and ran a hand through his hair."I sort of... Err, Well I felt this odd jolt of pain and... I had a hard time standing, and Professor Fletcher was around so he helped me up. and led me here." He said calmly and shrugged before raising an eyebrow glancing at the two. He snickered a bit at their actios and rolled his eyes a bit before placing his elbow on the table and his cheek into his palm."I'm not really hungry actually." He admitted and then glanced at the stage once the familiar voice from before started speaking.

Fletcher was standing on the stage and spoke."I have recieved a messege from your principal dear students. First of all he wants to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, and secondly, he gave an order for all the students to stay at their dorms and not go out to anywhere. Not to the classes, library or anywhere. You can be in your common room, in your bedrooms and in here, but not further than that, untill you will be told otherwise.
As well as the students who are now at their parents house, will not return untill this will end." Once he finished speaking all of the students started asking questions. There was a big Quiddich game coming up so why did they canceled everything for god sakes?!
"Calm down everyone! These orders are important, and you may not disobey them or else you'll be indager to get expelled. The situation out isn't very good, and as most of you mustv'e herd there were a few escapes from Azkaban, so, please, just follow these orders."

Caius raised his eyebrows and frowned a bit glancing at Scorpius and Rosie."I wonder whats going on.." he mumbeled and huffed a bit, fiddeling with his food.

Scorpius looked up at Fletcher as he spoke. An Azkaban break out? Bet they're regretting getting rid of those dementors now.. He thought casually.

Scorpius did not know many people that were in the wizard prison right now. He knew a few, but that was it. His grandfather Lucius, that bus driver, Stan, Dolores Umbridge, Dolohov, a man called Crabbe Sr., and Mundungus Fletcher. That's six people. Not too many to cause a break out, but then again, Azkaban was a prison for people all over the world. Not just from here.

"Hey, Cai, you know what Azkaban is right? You know Mundungus Fletcher, do you think he's related to ol' Fletcher here?" he said, biting on a piece of toast. It seemed like this piece of information worried everyone but Scorpius.

He sighed, no lessons, all day in dorms, paradise really. He finished his toast and leaned back in his chair.

"What's for dessert, baby?" he laughed. Rose thumped him round the head. "Owww, what was that for? Anyway, let's go back to our dorms, I can't wait to open the presents! I think you'll like yours Cai." He said, rubbing his head but smiling at Cai who looked rather worried. "What's up?" he asked, punching his best friend lightly on the arm.
