I'll be trying to get mine up soon. This is just too cool...
The world went under.
A blinding flash, followed by the decay of nature and sanity. Men no longer make deals with paper money or words, but with flesh, meat, gas and life. The setting is a long stretch of abandoned road, in the dry lands of the western America. Two vehicles, an average pickup truck and a standard four door vehicle, both full of patrons, spot each other. Both parties are on the brink of starvation and running low on fuel. Having not seen anyone for miles, they know that if they don't rob and kill the people in the other vehicle, they will die.
The truck begins the chase. The car runs in the hopes of taking down their pursuers while on defense. The tables could turn at any time.
They may be decent or indecent men; normal people trying to survive. Like wild animals, they have accepted their place in the world. Kill or die.
This is the stage for the battle. I am accepting all character sheets (even if you think the OOC looks full, post your's anyway). There will be a max of eight characters (more if I see enough incentive). Don't place your character in a vehicle, as I will divide who goes where randomly. As I assume the average player would want to be in the running vehicle, my character will be in the truck, pursuing.
I will allow you to choose what kind of equipment you have, but if I feel it's too much, I will give you suggestions on how to reduce your load. I will also give you a limit on ammo. I'm not sure if I want to make it a hard limit or not. I want both vehicles to have a selection of common weapons (i.e. very little chance of having a fully-automatic gun), and both teams can have whatever kind of makeshift melee weapons they'd like. Get creative with it, as non conventional weapons are encouraged.
It will mostly play like a normal RP, you fairly deciding what blows your character does and doesn't take. However, I may occasionally (randomly, even) feel inclined to have you hit, no matter what. I will do my best to be fair with my selections.
Groups can decide who will be passengers and who will be the driver. They can switch at anytime during the battle if they feel it safe enough. The driver probably won't control a weapon (if you are the driver and you are also shooting, that will increase your chances of crashing. Not saying that will happen, but it is more likely), however they do control the ability to ram the other vehicle if they want, and choose the position of the vehicle on the road. The truck is objectively the stronger of the two, but the car offers more protection for the patrons inside.
Character sheets can be as basic as necessary. The most important things are equipment, skillset, and personality.
With all that said, let's have some fun. Here's my character:
Name: Rodger Hearthland
Sex: Male
Age: Late '30s.
Appearance: Caucasian/white American. Shaggy brown hair, and thick five o' clock shadow. Weighs about 135, and is 6'1.
Equipment: Standard clothes, pair of work boots, denim pants, bloody white t-shirt. Short range crossbow with seven original bolts, and eight makeshift ones from household objects. A sharpened lawnmower blade for melee.
Personality: Somewhat deranged and shady. Always favors the brutal side of things. Intelligent, but untrustworthy.
Skills: Is a practiced wielder of his crossbow. He is somewhat athletic. Extremely brutal in battle, never showing any mercy.
And remember, I'm accepting all character sheets. I don't base who I choose on first come first serve, but who seems to make the best characters.
Preferred genres - High fantasy, dystopia, or post-apocalyptic.

Riddle me this, Alice...
Name: Abathor
Sex: Male
Age: Early '30s.
Appearance:
Equipment: As seen above, scavenged skins and clothing from kills. Gives off a brutal look. It is used as intimidation, rather than full blown protection.
Personality: Quite the madman, he sometimes falls into philosophical dilemmas...Unpredictable, at the best of times. Savage at the worst. Fearless and wreckless.
Skills: Pyrotechnist. Can fabricate bombs out of mostly anything. Also quite good at thrown weapons (spikes, chains with spears, anything that comes to hand). Wields a rusty yet surprisingly sharp machete. It is his weapon and tool. Not a big fan of guns, since ammo is often sparse.

Shamelessly bumping this.
