    Alpha's are great.
    Beta's suck.
I'm personally very pro-slut <--- Points for anyone who guesses where that is from.

Because you enjoy RPing every now and again? Well, then all gamers would be geeks.

Because you spend a large amount of time talking with strangers on the internet? Hello, Facebook and (lolwhostilluses) Myspace users.

Do you play video games? It's a lot more widely spread and accepted now, which is where the bitching about casuals comes in, so that also does not make you a geek.

Fact of the matter is, I don't think a person can label themselves as a geek. Geek by its actual definition is a horribly insulting and unflattering word, which is why I laugh when all of you e-Kids refer to yourselves as that.

"I am such a geek i just spent all day on the computer lol"

Labeling yourself as a geek and dressing in trendy "nerd" clothes is the latest hipster thing to do. That's why there's some shitty new TV show coming out based on this culture, because you can market a culture to idiot consumers who do not know better. Geek/Nerd is the new way to show that you're so above all the other people because you're so special and unique and don't care what everyone else thinks even though I'm putting on this bullshit act to get their attention.
-Never said I was above anyone.
    -Never said I wanted attention.
-Never said I was a gamer.
-Never said I spend all day on the internet.
-Never said I dress in nerd clothes.

I just call myself that mainly because of my interests and the people I hang out with. I've never in my high school life had any desire to be part of any "in" crowd, despite my brother, Mr. Popular, always asking me why I never strive to be someone else like he constantly does. Instead I'll just sit down, read a manga and hang out with that tiny, secluded table raving about Doctor Who, Homestuck and Vocaloid, constantly being ridiculed by the table next to it. And I do think that liking anime so much, a concept I still find myself explaining to most people I meet IRL, as well as more obscure bits of internet culture, and even taking it to the level of cosplaying and going to conventions, are things that people would normally label as "geeky". And you know what? I don't care. I'm proud of it, even. And that is why I call myself a geek.

As for the user title- I made it two years ago when I just thought it would be a clever thing to say. Never ditched it because it just seemed so signature after a while. That is all.

Labels don't make a person, but you seem intent on doing so. Great you enjoy shows, obscure concepts, and are part of a niche Fanbase. Why not just be Kagamine and call yourself confident?

*shrugs* I was just defending why I chose that label forever and a half ago, more as a personal quirk than anything else, rather than let this guy dismantle the whole thing and re-label me as

Nice one, when did you decide that?

There is no need to defend your beliefs to others if they are bulletproof in the first place. The question is: Do you believe in your ideas to the point they can withstand bullets?

I can't remember exactly. I think it was around 8th or 9th grade, when I started to notice these things about myself and get into that sort of stuff, as well.

I don't quite understand the question.

I took Ace's stereotyping as offensive, so I was defending myself. There isn't much more to it.

Just to point out: Geek has nothing to do with how much you rp or what you know of video games or anime. All that is basically irrelivant. You can be the most preppy popular person out there and love video games and rping and anime, but you would definitely not be a geek. A geek is generally someone who is socially awkward and odd by "normal" standards. It just so happens that people who are socially awkward sit at home and game all day because they are socially awkward. Being a geek isn't a thing you want to be called, in my honest opinion. It's like walking around labeling yourself as socially inept.
