Yeah, should have just called it the same thing. I'd rather not have reboot tacked onto it, because, to me, that implies starting over from the beginning.
And yeah, I doubt any mortal race could have come up with anything more advanced than a sentient machine that runs on magic at this point in time. Even in the real world we're nowhere near that level of technology.
