Welcome to the Maskenspiel OOC.
Maskenspiel is German(Deutch) for "masquerade or disguise", btw.


The continent of Elysium is in a Renaissance-era period, with great advances in mathematics, science, art, literature, politics, economy and technology. The king, King Sylas IV, has been dethroned and Elysium is now a representative democracy, with the Council of Seven for a legislature, as well as a judicial branch. The first Deias(president) of the continent of Elysium is Isaiah Papalia I.

Even though Elysium is in such a great period, there is still trouble on the streets. Murder, rape, theft, you name it, it happens. This has become a very large problem, and has not escaped the Deias' vision. He has consulted with the Council of Seven on what to do. They tried a police force, which barely worked. Then, they tried baiting the criminals. Never got one. Deias Papalia I was frustrated with the growing problem, the size growing bigger and bigger by the day.

Then, the Council of Seven had a great idea that could work. A group of bounty hunters or mercenaries. They could track down and bring criminals to justice. As soon as the Deias received word of this, he sent a messenger to the capital city of Niachus to herald the message, "Masqueraded bounty hunters wanted! Handsome pay and decent privileges, such as living quarters. Apply now". The Deias had forged a group of bounty hunters called Maskenspiel. Now, it needed members.

Rules:

1: Cursing and sexual references and innuendo are allowed.
2: Min. 1 paragraph per post.
3: No godmodding or infinite ammunitions, life, etc.
4: If you have problems with another roleplayer, take it off of the IC.
5: Decent grammar and spelling required.
6: You may play as a Maskenspiel or a criminal, but having one of each is not recommended.
7: Since it is set in a Steampunk-esque setting, technology is that of other Seampunk roleplays: rustic but useful.
