Hmm....would a Vixen character be too much if there's already a Beast Boy?

I'm actually going to tweak that range portion of it. It's too much of a hindrance.

    D'awh.

    You'll be Beast Boy.

    Only with a vagina.

    And you're not green.

    Their sex must be amazing.

    My own application:

    THE ULTIMATE DC RPG
    Character Application

Character you wish to portray: Lt. Colonel Rick Flag III

Hero, villain, or walking the line?:
    Walking the Line

    Powers and physical attributes
: No powers, but Rick is a former Army Ranger and Delta Force Operative with over twenty years service in the US military. He's an expert marksman and capable hand to hand fighter.

Origin and backstory (as you see it):

Rick Flag III comes from a military dynasty, and it's been proven that a Flag has served in every major American conflict since the Revolutionary War. His grandfather was a war hero for the allies during the Second World War, while his father served with distinction in Vietnam. Flag enrolled at West Point as soon as he was finished with high school and graduated in 1990, given the rank of a first lieutenant.

Flag's aptitude for marksmanship granted him a chance to become an Army Ranger. Flag passed Ranger school with flying colors and became a Ranger sniper. Flag was stationed in Somalia during the Black Hawk Down incident, receiving only minor wounds in the combat that ensued.

In 1998, Flag was promoted from Captain to Major. His service record with the Rangers led to him being recruited to join a group known only as the "Combat Applications Group" better known as Delta Force.

After 9/11, Flag and his unit of Delta Force operators carried out missions in Afghanistan, Iraq, and all over the world. It was during a black op in December of 2010 that it all changed for Flag. Inside the Syrian border, Flag and his squad's helicopter was shot down. Flag was one of three men who survived the crash. Badly wounded by the crash, Flag and the two soldiers managed to fight their way out of Syria and into Israel. Flag nearly died of his wounds, while the two soldiers with him were mortally wounded by gunfire. While Flag recovered, the two men died..

Flag was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and give a covert operations medal for his valorous efforts, although the medal was never to be worn in public.

After ten years in Delta Force, he was reassigned to a new division. Known only as Task Force X-Ray, it's the blackest of the black ops. The job is simple: imprisoned metahumans and other killers work for Task Force X, carrying out covert missions for the government in exchange for a chance at freedom. The work is dangerous, mortality rates of each mission high. While it's known as Task Force X, the staff members and field agents call it something else entirely: The Suicide Squad.

The burning question - Why this character?:
Well, I've always loved the idea of the Suicide Squad and I've wanted to toy around with what they can do.

How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?:
Well, Flag is part of a dynasty instead of the lone military man. Also, his character is a bit less fragile than it was in the comics. He's not on the verge of a mental breakdown... at least not yet...

What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?:
    Decent RPer and some fun.

Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, two paragraphs or more and with at least one line of dialogue:

    Nigeria
    Six Years Ago

    Darkness.

That's his world now. Darkness inside this tiny and damp cell he's called home now for...a week?

    A month?

    A year?

He makes marks in the wall with his fingernails after they bring him back from the interrogation/beating sessions they put him through. He assumes each session is once a day. For all he knows, it's once a week. His face has a decent beard, but that's no clear indication of how much time has passed. He ran his hands across the marks and try to count them, losing count after forty-five.

The cell door swung open. The dim light coming from the corridor is enough to hurt his eyes. He shielded his eyes with his left hand and felt two pairs of rough hands grab him by the shoulders and drag him from the cell. A few minutes later, they propped him up in a wooden chair across from the interrogator. He's someone important, the medals on his uniform told him that much. Maybe he's a lieutenant colonel, he thinks, just like he is. Maybe he's something higher.

"Hello, my American friend," the man said in a pleasant tone, his English heavily accented. "Still nothing to say?"

The interrogator lit up a cigar and took a long drag off of it before blowing the smoke into his face.

"Do you know what insanity is? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting a different result. This is why you are insane. You refuse to talk, even though my men beat you and barely keep you fed. We know you are an American, even though your government refuses to acknowledge your existence. You won't tell us why you and your friends came to our country, killed our countrymen, and destroyed a facility we were protecting. You take beatings and refuse to talk. Every time you expect it to be different, but it is not. You, my friend, are insane...or maybe it is I that is the insane one. I expect you to talk, but yet you don't. No matter what I do."

The interrogator leaned in and whispered into his ear.

"Those marks on the wall? I have my men come in every time you are pulled out of your cell and change the marks."

That's when he snapped. He let out a scream and used all the strength he had to tackle the interrogator and drive him to the ground, getting one good punch in before his men pulled him off. The men began to punch him in the stomach, chest, and kicked him as he fell to the ground. He felt one of his ribs break and the wind rushed out his lungs.

    "Enough," the interrogator said.

His head is swimming and he's on the verge of passing out. The men picked him back up and placed him back on the wooden chair. The interrogator sat back down and looks at him calmly.

"Tell me...do you know what insanity is?"

My Application (Actually in the right place this time :P)
. THE ULTIMATE DC RPG .
    Character Application

.Character you wish to portray: The Question/ Vic Sage

.Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hero

.Powers and physical attributes: Master of Dragon Style Kung-Fu, genius level intelligence, master detective

.Origin and backstory (as you see it): Charles Victor Szasz grew up alone in an Orphanage in the heart of Gotham City and learnt quick that only the strong survive in this world. So he grew up fast and he grew up mean, joining a street gang as soon as he left the orphanage and became yet another menace to society, Gotham already had so many.

Vic's life was changed forever when he was shot in the leg during a bank robbery and his fellow gang members left with the loot for him to be captured by the authorities. After a few weeks hospitalised Vic was sentenced to a year in Blackgate Prison for armed robbery.

His cellmate was an elderly Chinese man simply known as “Old Man” Sun, who taught him how to calm his rage and many things about Eastern Philosiphy, including personal training in Kung Fu every day and how the City was rotting from the head and the only way to solve Gothams problems was to show the world the corruption in the Mayors office and in the Police Force.

So Vic left prison a changed man, he changed his name to Victor Sage as to distance himself from his criminal past, got a job as a Investigative reporter for a small time tabloid newspaper, home to conspiracy theories and took to the streets to assist in riding the crime of Gotham and exposing its lies. He donned an overcoat and fedora, gained a mask made of artificial skin to make it appear that he had no face at all and became The Question, the Faceless Avenger.

.The burning question - Why this character?: I was drawn to his eccentric charm

[b].How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?:[/b[ Well I changed up his backstory almost entirely and changed his city from Hub City to Gotham.

.What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: I have been Rping for 2-3 years now, more or less and I believe I've gotten quite good at it.

.Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, two paragraphs or more:
Question walked down the alleyway his lead gave him, a wretched place stinking of lost hope and open sewage, makes his 1 bedroom apartment look like paradise. he finally came across 4 thugs loitering against a dumpster, strength in numbers doesn't mean much in a fight, he learnt that the hard way.

They noticed him, I could tell due to the fact the scrawniest one shouted in my direction,
“Yo, Dick Tracy, I think you're down the wrong alley, my man!”
“Actually Dick Tracy wore a yellow overcoat and matching fedora, my overcoat and fedora are blue, its like you've never seen a man who dresses like he's still in the 50's.”
“Man, you crazy or something?” Asked the same one, slowly walking towards him, he was beginning to suspect that he's the ringleader, either that or his friends did not know how to form sentences.

Question charged forward, grabbing the punk by the arms and throwing him, head first into a wall, concussion likely, he wont be making any wisecracks for a while. A second burlier one came lumbering towards him, arms ready to punch me into next summer, his guard is atrocious, a swift punch to the belly dropped the lumbering hulk to his knees, Vic followed this with a reverse roundhouse kick to the head, knocking him out cold, a bit too flashy, too dangerous, but its best to make a good first impression.

“What the hell is this guy?!” blurted a terrified thug.
“He doesen't have a face!” Shouted the second, as terrified as the first.
“Finally someone noticed.” He replied as he grabbed one of the thugs and held him up against the wall, allowing the other to run home and changed his trousers.
“Now I may not be as intimidating as the Big Bat with his toys, but believe me, I can break your arms in ways you wouldn't've ever thought possible, now tell me where you got your stash!”
“Alright, alright! I'll tell ya everything!”
