.Character you wish to portray: The Question/ Vic Sage

.Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hero

.Powers and physical attributes: Master of Dragon Style Kung-Fu, genius level intelligence, master detective

.Origin and backstory (as you see it): Charles Victor Szasz grew up alone in an Orphanage in the heart of Gotham City and learnt quick that only the strong survive in this world. So he grew up fast and he grew up mean, joining a street gang as soon as he left the orphanage and became yet another menace to society, Gotham already had so many.

Vic's life was changed forever when he was shot in the leg during a bank robbery and his fellow gang members left with the loot for him to be captured by the authorities. After a few weeks hospitalised Vic was sentenced to a year in Blackgate Prison for armed robbery.

His cellmate was an elderly Chinese man simply known as “Old Man” Sun, who taught him how to calm his rage and many things about Eastern Philosiphy, including personal training in Kung Fu every day and how the City was rotting from the head and the only way to solve Gothams problems was to show the world the corruption in the Mayors office and in the Police Force.

So Vic left prison a changed man, he changed his name to Victor Sage as to distance himself from his criminal past, got a job as a Investigative reporter for a small time tabloid newspaper, home to conspiracy theories and took to the streets to assist in riding the crime of Gotham and exposing its lies. He donned an overcoat and fedora, gained a mask made of artificial skin to make it appear that he had no face at all and became The Question, the Faceless Avenger.

.The burning question - Why this character?: I was drawn to his eccentric charm

[b].How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?:[/b[ Well I changed up his backstory almost entirely and changed his city from Hub City to Gotham.

.What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: I have been Rping for 2-3 years now, more or less and I believe I've gotten quite good at it.

.Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, two paragraphs or more:
Question walked down the alleyway his lead gave him, a wretched place stinking of lost hope and open sewage, makes his 1 bedroom apartment look like paradise. he finally came across 4 thugs loitering against a dumpster, strength in numbers doesn't mean much in a fight, he learnt that the hard way.

They noticed him, I could tell due to the fact the scrawniest one shouted in my direction,
“Yo, Dick Tracy, I think you're down the wrong alley, my man!”
“Actually Dick Tracy wore a yellow overcoat and matching fedora, my overcoat and fedora are blue, its like you've never seen a man who dresses like he's still in the 50's.”
“Man, you crazy or something?” Asked the same one, slowly walking towards him, he was beginning to suspect that he's the ringleader, either that or his friends did not know how to form sentences.

Question charged forward, grabbing the punk by the arms and throwing him, head first into a wall, concussion likely, he wont be making any wisecracks for a while. A second burlier one came lumbering towards him, arms ready to punch me into next summer, his guard is atrocious, a swift punch to the belly dropped the lumbering hulk to his knees, Vic followed this with a reverse roundhouse kick to the head, knocking him out cold, a bit too flashy, too dangerous, but its best to make a good first impression.

“What the hell is this guy?!” blurted a terrified thug.
“He doesen't have a face!” Shouted the second, as terrified as the first.
“Finally someone noticed.” He replied as he grabbed one of the thugs and held him up against the wall, allowing the other to run home and changed his trousers.
“Now I may not be as intimidating as the Big Bat with his toys, but believe me, I can break your arms in ways you wouldn't've ever thought possible, now tell me where you got your stash!”
“Alright, alright! I'll tell ya everything!”
    Good stuff. You're approved.

    -Robin
    -Hero
-Robin is a gifted athlete with incredible gymnastic skill, who took some red and yellow armor, a hood, and a staff to go out and fight crime after being inspired by the BatMan. He crafted some shurikens, bought some armor, and managed to get some combat lessons with Batman.
-Dick Grayson had been a circus acrobat until he was twelve. However His childhood was cut short when his parents died on the trapeze. The Circus was sponsored by The Wayne Foundation, after a large amount of parents had died. When The Batman came and scared a bunch of the criminals into submission, Grayson became a cop, and during his time on the force he saw the impact Batman was having and decided to fight crime in a similiar fashion as Robin. At 20 years old, he decided to fight crime in Day as well as night. After fighting crime for about a month he actually ran into Batman and The Joker, after assisting in apprehending him, he was knocked out and taken to The Batcave where he was given some pointers in crime fighting. Ever since his relation to the Batman has grown stronger.
-I chose this character because I have always been fond of reading stories about Nightwing, Tim Drake as Robin, and stories about Batman himself. Tim Drake is my favorite Robin, but i love Dick Grayson as Nightwing.
-I believe this version of Robin will be different from others because he is a police officer and hes just now becoming Robin. He was an orphan and has very little interaction with Bruce Wayne.
-As far as what I can bring to the rpg, i dont really know what to say. Im a noob but I often write in my spare time.
    - Batman never understood what acting in the light could do. The sunlight isnt something to fear as a man, as a bat it may be. I get it. I dont enjoy spending my day off in armor and a cape. But I needed to show Gotham that its always under our protection. Batman & Robin, it has a nice ring to it. Now if only the criminals were scared of me the same way they fear Batman. I wouldnt get as many holes in my costume if theyd scream
    "Ahhhhnooooo. Its Robin." Instead of,
    "Shoot him. Its Robin."
Im sick of playing second fiddle to Batman. Batman. Batman .Batman. He has his own cave. I have a storage unit with a motorcycle. On the other hand he did give me access to his cave, his bulletproof car, and his armory. His rag costume, his fireproof costume, stab and bulletproof costume. Why does he have a rag costume? It seems so stupid.
He probably only has it so he can say
"Oh... Once upon a time I started small."
What makes him so great. The man goes out and traumatizes criminals in the name of justice. On the other hand he inspired me to put this on and fight as a vigilante as well as a cop. So look at me. What makes me so great.

    THE ULTIMATE DC RPG
    Character Application

Character you wish to portray: Cyrus Gold / Solomon Grundy

Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Walking the line.

Powers and physical attributes: Resurrection, Undead, Superhuman Strength/Stamina (Depending on resurrected form), Enhanced Intelligence (Depending on resurrected form).

Origin and backstory (as you see it):
Cyrus Gold was born in Gotham in the late 19th century and quickly rose to become a business man. His business flourished, but not because of his brilliant mind, because of his golden heart. Cyrus Gold worked in medicines. He desperately wanted to help people in any way he could and this was the best way he could think of. Cyrus listened to his business partners closely, but he would constantly put profit on the side-line if he believed he could help someone. This reckless behaviour constantly put his business at risk and angered his partners.

One day, in the early 20th century, one of Gold's business partners ran up to Gold with a look of surprise and excitement in his eyes. He told Gold that he had discovered something within the nearby swamp. Gold didn't know what he was on about, but only concentrated on the few words that he cared about; longer life. Gold rushed with the man towards the swamp. The man probably only cared about the money they could both get off of this, but Cyrus had a better idea. He could help everyone live a happier and longer life. Ofcourse, this was not to be. The only thing Cyrus found at the swamp was a knife to the back and a watery grave.

After a few years, Cyrus' company was forgotten, but Cyrus was not. He was first remembered as the kind hearted man that he was, but variations began to arise. It wasn't long until Cyrus' name became slandered. He was accused of dealing in illegal drugs and had been killed because of refusing to trade in a partnership with another dealer. It wasn't long after that variation arised that the true Cyrus was completely forgotten, and not long after that when he rose once more as the Zombie Brute, Solomon Grundy.

After several reincarnation as Solomon Grundy, Gold awoke in a normal-sized human body. He seemed to be himself, not that brute, but he was still grey. Cyrus began to think about what he could do and he decided; he was still going to help in the best way possible. In recent years, Gold has become a Private Investigator and attempts to help the Gotham PD as much as possible. While this is true, his other side, Solomon Grundy, still appears every so often, terrorising the city.

The burning question - Why this character?: It took me a while to think of a character to play, but I ultimately fixed my gaze on Grundy due to the fact that the character interested me and that his history was already rather thin. This way, the character could be shaped differently while still also being the same.

How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?: The character is different due to the fact that he does infact have a set hisotry and that his history is told by him being a kind man. Another difference is that some of the reincarnations of Grundy have it so that Cyrus' intelligence and compassion is kept (though in this form, he loses his strength).

What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: I have been roleplaying for several years and believe that I can provide a good RP experience.

Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, two paragraphs or more and with at least one line of dialogue:
Cyrus sat at his work desk, looking over his latest case. Something was niggling him at the back of his mind, but what was it? Cyrus closed his eyes and began to concentrate. Suddenly, the phone went off, interrupting him. Cyrus snapped his gaze towards the phone and simply shook his head, sighing. He picked it up, answering in a gravely voice; "[b]Private Investigator Cyrus Gold speaking.[b]"
The man on the other end spoke quickly, with a calm tone; "There's another one"
Cyrus sighed and took down the address before heading out.

Cyrus arrived at the scene of the crime. He stepped out of his car and walked over to the a Police Officer, showing his PI badge. He stepped under the yellow tape and began to descend from the street into the sewer. He looked around and saw officers near a body. Cyrus took a deep breath. Instantly, he regretted it. The smell was not just ghastly, but memories flashed in his mind of a rampaging beast walking through the sewers. Cyrus shook his head, stopping himself being sick due to the smell. Time to get to work.

Cyrus got out of his car in the parking spaces next to his apartment building. He began to think over the case. That was now at least two people this guy has killed. It had to be the same guy. Same marks, similiar location. Suddenly, an object was pressed into Cyrus' back. From the feeling of the shape, it was probably a pistol.
A man spoke from behind Cyrus; "Put your hands on your head."
Cyrus did as the man asked and placed the palms of his hands on his head. He spoke with his gravely voice in a calm tone; "Hm...What's this about? You want money, or perhaps I put one of your relatives in prison?"
"You're getting too close. I'm sorry, you're not the type of person I'd usually go for, but drastic time calls fordrastic measures."
"Ah. I see how it is. You think I'm close to finally getting to you, so you'd rather cut me out so that you have some extra time. Let me tell you, it won't work."
"You really think that? Sorry, but I calculated it, and I think it will. Now, turn around slowly. I'll be the last thing you ever see."
Cyrus sighed, doing as the man asked. As he faced the man, he looked at him, taking in as much detail as he possibly could. This man will pay. The man put his gun into Cyrus' mouth and smiled.
    "Goodbye."

Face down in the swamp again. Grundy pushed himself up with ease. That man thinks he can easily kill Solomon Grundy? Ha. The best have tried and all have failed. Grundy has always bounced back and always will. The man should be trembling now. Now he has Solomon Grundy to worry about. This man shall now be torn limb from limb, no matter what it takes.

    THE ULTIMATE DC RPG
    Character Application

Character you wish to portray: Superman

Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hero

Powers and physical attributes: An extraterrestrial, The Man of Steel possesses tactile-telekinesis, spurning on the abilities of flight, superhuman strength, speed, invulnerability (with exception to kryptonite and magic), x-ray, microscopic, and heat ray visions, arctic breath, supreme intelligence, and regeneration. This version of Superman can also change his physical appearance at will, though mostly to switch between his human and alien appearance.

Origin and backstory (as you see it): Born to the planet Krypton, Ka'el is only one part of what is considered to be the Brain Interactive Construct - a hive mind of all Kryptonian life that sustains the lifeforce preserving their physical and mental prowess. As a race, they are their own best friend, their own mother, their own father, and their own sibling rolled into one. Ka'el is only the latest part of that collective whenever the planet becomes irrevocably doomed, threatened by the rebellion of one of the elder Kryptonians - Dru'zod, who channels the collective energy of the Brain-Interactive to kill the planet's core. With it's time surely coming to an end, all of Krypton pools it's energy into the one being able to sustain it - their last son, Ka'el. He is broken off and sent floating into space as the core finally gives in.

Forced away into the stars, Ka'el watches as thousands perish in an instant. All that he knows vanishes. This is enough to drive te infant ball of energy into a comatose state, drifting through space for several lightyears. Eventually, it reaches Earth, landing in a cornfield outside of a small Kansas town. It's dormant telekinesis brought to the forefront under the foreign planet's sun, the being reaches out to whatever it can find and learns quickly of Earthly inhabitants. So when sensing an oncoming truck, the being reshapes itself in the form of a human child, ready to be found by the couple driving by. Thus begins the life of Clark Kent.

Growing up in Smallville, Clark eventually gains aspirations to branch out and move to Metropolis to persue a career in journalism. Though his superhuman abilities are vast, he's mastered the art of hiding them, taught extensively by his adoptive parents Jonathan and Martha. Once reaching Metropolis, the mid-20's looking Clark lands a job as an intern at Daily Planet News, Metropolis' premier news station and social media giant. Working for the station manager, Perry White, Clark soon bonds with videographer James Olsen and becomes infatuated with the lead news anchor, Lois Lane. But as he settles into his new life, it soon becomes clear that Metropolis is not all that it seems. Riddled with crime and strange happenings, Clark realizes that the City of Tomorrow needs a hero to help defend the innocent. A force for good. A Superman.

The burning question - Why this character?: Batman was already spoken for , but moreover, Superman sure isn't a bad alternative. Everyone knows him in and out, he's apart of Americana, and he's got a rich full history that I want to take advantage of in reshaping him.

How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?: There are a number of differences in the backstory, moreso in his life in Metropolis. He's not a reporter, he's a meek intern, fetching coffee and whathaveyou while secretly trying to defend Metropolis. What that spurns on isn't the sort of warm welcome or acceptance that other versions of Superman are generally accustomed to.

What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: Over 8 years of RP experience elsewhere, and a passion for all things DC.

Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, two paragraphs or more and with at least one line of dialogue:

Setting his camera to the appropriate settings, Olsen hoisted it over his shoulder and got into position. Giving Lois the cue of a five-fingered countdown, he pointed at her as soon as the light hit her face, momentarily causing her to flinch. "We're rolling."

Gathering herself, the ace reporter smiled back at the camera with a look so practiced that even she might have mistaken herself to be a pleasant sight to behold.

"Good evening Metropolis, this is Lois Lane coming to you live from Suicide Slums. After several weeks of reported sightings of a mysterious figure that has been said to put a stop to over a dozen attempted robberies in the city's market district, police have now discovered what seems to be an indication of truth to the claims of vigilante justice being brought to our fair streets."

Indicating the wall behind her, she used her hand to underline the unusual mark burned into it's bricks. "Seen behind me is just one of nearly a dozen recently discovered insignias left across the district in the last week. What do they mean? Who is responsible for their appearance, and what motives lie behind this mysterious person, whom many of the Slum's natives now refer to as savior? Tonight, The Daily Planet comes closer to the truth, as I interview three exclusive eyewitness sources. Stay tuned for more after these messages."

Nodding, Olsen carefully switched the dial that cut the signal, just in time for the Planet's station editors to splice in the commercials off of the feed. Lois took a deep breath, lowering her microphone and pulling out her smartphone. It was 7:45, at least an hour after she was supposed to be clocking out and heading home. Women her age were normally out on dates, or doing something exciting with their time. Looking back at the wall, she realized that all she had to do with her time was look at a bunch of stylized graffiti.

"Should be ready to roll in the next minute. You wanna go inside for the next shot?"

Lost in thought, she looked back at Olsen and shrugged.

"Oh, sure. Need any help with the equipment?"

"Nah, I got it. Wouldn't want you to chip a nail."

Playfully hitting him on the shoulder as he chuckled, she waited for him to gather his things.

"Hysterical. I can see why you're a behind-the-scenes kinda guy."

Olsen shook his head. "Hey, that's only because the chief won't let me infront of the camera. I think he's just jealous of my rugged good looks."

"Modesty would do you well, Jimmy. You've been hanging out with Lombard for too long."

Stopping in mid walk, Olsen stared back at the wall for a minute. The insignia had obviously captured his attention. Looking at it again herself, Lois seemed to have lost interest. "What? See something I don't?"

"No. It's just... how do you think he did this? It's still burning, so he must've done it pretty quick to be able to take off before the cops arrived."

"How should I know? Probably got some lighter fluid and thought to paint himself a portrait. All these whackjobs have their own agenda, and thankfully it's not our job to know what it is."

    "Maybe."

    Following Olsen inside, she continued.

"Besides, who cares? More than likely, the cops will find whoever did it in the next few hours and toss him right on his ass in a cell at Stryker's Island. Believe me, by the time tomorrow hits..."

    "This'll be long since forgotten."
