The Last of Us (High Casual, MxM, Details inside)

Hey, I'm looking for someone to RP with! I am a Casual - High Casual roleplayer who has been doing such for quite a few years now. I am fairly dedicated and try to give my full attention to the RPs I am involved in, thus only take a few at a time. While I do have a busy schedule on the weekdays and will probably be doing stuff on the weekends, I'll probably be able to post at least once a day and probably much more. I'm looking for a partner who has no problem with violence, gore, and sexual themes or situations. Just so everyone is clear, I usually only do MxM RPs and I plan on this RP being one of those!

As you can tell, I want to have an RP based upon the upcoming videogame, The Last of Us. Of course, only in the basics. I have a very simple plot which would need to be worked out between me and you before the RP takes off. The plot has been made to accommodate romance, and while I would prefer it to be involved; it is not required if you don't want it.

Plot

The civilized world came to an end with a sudden cataclysmic event which killed most of the population. The remaining survivors are in a constant battle for territory and power across the world, cities have become death traps due to constant destruction caused by age and weathering while toxic fumes fill the streets. It has been fifteen years since this event. People who experienced the original shock and fear of the apocalypse are now becoming more rare. Children grow up not knowing what the world was once like. Many are too weak to fight and go starving, while some join gangs and prosper on the belongings of others. Very few are capable of surviving without scavenging, thus leaving cities and towns a hot spot for vicious fights and battles.

One of our characters is a thirty - something year old man with military experience who has been wandering from place to place without real purpose in this savage world. Having heard that there was a sanctuary to the North East, he begins traveling on. His journey was a long and painful one, though he now rests on the edge of New York. Finding the city far too dangerous in consideration of it's deteriorating stature and gang battles worthy of a war zone; he plans on taking the long way and going around. Sure, the trip would last much longer but the risk would be avoided.

The other character is a younger man who has been shielded from the harsh view of this world, hidden in a small community in the countryside and too young to remember the original event. When the people of this community slowly begin dying of illness one by one, he is tasked with finding a doctor rumored to be hidden within the cityscape of New York. He is given a bag of supplies, a gun with a few bullets, and is soon sent on his way. After several days of travel without incident, he finally reaches the city's border, surprised to find another person there.

The tired soldier warns the young man of what lie ahead, only to be ignored. The soldier follows behind, if only to give a final warning before heading around the city like he originally planned. However, just as soon as he catches up with this stranger, the bridge lurches and shifts before finally collapsing and sending the two into the city with no way out.

Now the two must travel through a war torn and collapsing city, with danger lurking at every corner. The only thing keeping the two together is the fight for survival.
