Oh, no. She is completely serious. And she thinks it is funny. And she thinks its okay because she almost dated a 'really black' guy once. Like... okay?

Part of it is generational. My grandmother is extremely racist and an egotistical bigot (No offense, Grandma!). But there is really nothing you can do other than realize it is wrong and not do it yourself. Don't let the vicious cycle continue with you, break it by being a better person.
