Heavy Rain OOC [~Remake~]

Your life has been devastated by the "Origami Killer." A serial killer, he/she drowns 9-12 year old boys in rainwater, with their bodies washing up a few days later. Whether you know it or not, your (the role-players) lives are all connected, whether it be big or small. Whether you're the parent of a victim, an investigator, or some other character, all of your paths will cross. The story will shift depending on the actions all of you perform. Whether or not the investigator finds the killer may depend on the action of the grieving parent, and vice versa. You will be challenged, your will shall be tested. How far would you go to save someone you love?


Yup, so that's the story . I will act as more of a narrator, controlling side characters, etc. etc. As stated above, all of your paths will cross eventually and your actions will influence each other. If a detective gets closer to his target and frightens/angers the killer, the killer may make life a bit harder for the grieving parent trying to save their child. While acting as a narrator, I will give you options, such as "Billy had better think fast, the man was approaching quickly. He could throw a chair, dodge, try going for a nut shot..." and such. I hope that you all are interested, and I can't wait to perform the role play

~Rules~
1. Romance- This is an M-rated game, I expect the roleplay to play out as such. However, be respectful of the guild rules. Take it to PMs or fade out.
2. Violence- No real rules here! Be as violent as you want!
3. Limits- Please take the time to realize that you are helpless. Now, don't get all sad, just recall that I am the killer and hold power over each of you. If you are in the middle of a fight, please allow me to respond (unless it's with another player's character) and I shall decide whether a side character is killed/incapacitated or not.
4. Grammar- Here's a big one. Please, please, make well structured sentences. I HATE when I have to read someone's post that's like "Bob walked down the street then got into his car then thought about what he was going to do then he drove and then he cried." This is more on a High Free level, so post more than one sentence please.

Name: Thomas Cale

Age: 28

Personality: Thomas Cale is a very eccentric, intelligent, and often introverted Private Investigator. He knows that his job is often hated by some, and knows that he himself is despised by quite a few members of the local police department. The only thing that keeps him happy is the knowledge that, when he does solve a big case, he has done something that an entire network of police and detectives couldn't do. That is the real reason behind his searching for the Origami Killer; personal ambition. If he manages to catch this man- this despicable thing, as he can be heard saying- he'll feel truly useful. If he fails, he may find that everything will come crashing down on his head; the people he's hurt, the people who dislike him, the nature of his job, his lack of friends... it may just be too much to handle.

Biography: Thomas Cale has always had great expectations. He graduated high school fairly high in his class, and went to college for criminal justice with every intention of becoming a detective. However, on graduation night, something happened which would change his life forever; his long time girlfriend, Marie, was killed. He discovered her body when he returned home; she was lying on the floor in the kitchen, a blade mark across her throat, her blood painting the countertop red. The police had, to their credit, arrived quickly; all they could tell him that he didn't already know, however, was horrid. Marie had been raped, and every sign pointed to her knowing her killer. Thomas was approached by a man claiming to be a Private Investigator, who introduced himself only as Nestor. Thomas thought this was incredibly odd, of course, but decided that he had nothing to lose. Nestor caught the killer within the month, and the police made no progress whatsoever. Nestor told Thomas at the end of the case that he understood what it was like to lose a loved one, and refused to let Thomas pay for the PI's services. It was then that Thomas made his choice; rather than joining the police department and having to cut through miles of "official" tape, he decided he could do better as a Private Investigator. Since he made his decision, he's solved thirty-five cases, made a lot of enemies, and very few allies. However, he does have contacts in the police department- people who help him only through obligation, and who would just as soon stab him as save him. Thomas' only true friend is Vincent McCabe, who he has been with since childhood; Vincent is a police detective, and is, fortunately, willing to help Thomas, as long as Thomas helps him when needed. Thomas was approached by a victim of the Origami Killer, and instantly agreed to take the case for three reasons: one, it would bring him a whole hell of a lot of fame, two, he couldn't exactly refuse a grieving mother- his conscience would have murdered him- and three, the woman looked astonishingly similar to Marie.



He looks like the above (how fitting that it had police tape in the background XD) but wears formal suits whenever he goes out in public; often he's seen in a white dress shirt with a black suit jacket, a black tie, and black slacks. He wears small-framed, black rectangular glasses.

James isn't the brightest light bulb. But he has some light building up inside of him. He is kind to people even if they are not the same to him. He never forgets someone's name but forgets what they want when they ask something of him. He isn't very fond of figuring out puzzles. He usually resolves to brute force or debating over the subject at hand. But once his child was killed he lost it. He never leaves his house unless its work related and he cry's him self to sleep every night. His social skills have lowered and he isn't to good and making friends anymore.
Brief Bio(How has the killer affected them, why are they going after him?): James son was a victim of the killer's killings. James contacted the police with hard evidence of where his son was killed and how security cameras show a person drowning James son ( Markian) James leaving his house once every month to drink him self out first visits that fatal spot of the death. But every time he feels that someone is watching him. So now he comes there with a camera hoping to find his son's killer watching him so he can get his revenge on tape.

Brief Bio: A private detective and high school student, he's been tracking the Origami Killer case for a while, but due to other work that he had he couldn't really put any real effort into it, until one of the victim's parents hired him to look into the murders and try to do what the police have not, catch the murderer and stop before another innocent person's life is taken by the killers cruel hands.
Appearance: Medium long brown hair, brown eyes, 6'1, pale skin, he wears a plain white hoody, a black long sleeved shirt under it, blue skinny jeans, and blue and white sneakers, around his neck is the magatama from Phoenix Wright (Obviously not working, just likes Phoenix Wright X3).
