    Dragoonity IC

Aramill removed the third coat that day. It seemed the more south he went, the more he sweated. He removed his gloves, and wiped his bare hand across his forehead. "Damn." He said. "It's to damn hot." He complained as he rode onward. He was headed to the kingdom of Basil, where the luxurious Indels castle was located. He hoped to gather an audience with the king. Truth was, Aramaill was starting to lose hope in finding his lost brother. When he saw the castle tower on the horizon his heart fluttered with joy. He would be out of this insufferable heat. He looked over east, and saw thick smoke rising to the sky. Curious, he swung his reins and kicked his horse. "Hyah!" Aramill shouted. He and his horse rode off into the direction of the smoke.

It was soon after Aramill reached the small village, he leapt off his horse. The village was in shambles, mostly burned to the ground. Villagers scrambeled back and forth, despratly trying to douse the flames. Women screamed for the dead, and wept. A small child came up to Aramill and tugged on his tunic. Aramill looked down at the child, who then spoke. "Sir, where is my mommy?" Aramill looked at the child, unable to speak. The air screamed, and an explosion of fire erupted near Aramill. He picked up the small child and ran into the nearest building for cover. "Catpaults? Who's attacking this village?" Aramilled asked the child. "It's Sandora sir! The castle to the south." Aramill looked confused. "A civil war?" Aramill said to himself, now he had even more of a reason to see the King.

Aramill peeked outside, only to find a spear in his face. Aramill held his hands up, and calmly surrendered. The guards spoke, they spoke inhumanly. As if there voice was hoarse, yet somehow magically enhanced. "Those who resist will be exterminated. Everyone will obey the order of Sandora! Hail Sandora!" The rest of the yellow armored soilders, cheered. Aramill felt himself sweat again, but this time not from the heat.

    Arik-
The city was burnt, there were corps here and there, but worst of all there were these men holding all of us captive. It didn't scare me any, just annoyed me more than anything. In this sort of situation I could easily get myself out of it- if I timed it right I may just get one or two people free with me- but I was no hero. If trying to save everyone meant that many would die then it wouldn't help anything. They may just have a better chance saving themselves on their own when it was right for them.
As we sat there, listening to the men in yellow armor shout 'Hail Sandora' an elderly man started to cuss them out under his breath, his wife beside him muttered a curse before flipping them off under her wrap- tears still in her eyes of anger. There was little, if no, sense of fear. It made me chuckle a bit to myself, making me realize how entertaining the elderly could be. Thankfully they were smart, keeping their curses and swears to themselves but their eyes shot daggers into each of the men, wether they noticed or not.
"Shut that kid up!" One of the armored men yelled at a mother, hugging her crying child close to her. She would smother the thing if she didn't ease up a bit, yet she was only trying to quiet the young one. The mother hushed her child, whispering to it softly and calmly as she could. It was of no use though; you could see she was terrified and to the child there was no hope if his own guardian was fearful.
Finally the mother got her child to quiet down, though it was still sobbing- the boy's face red and scrunched up. The guard walked off and I started to look around for a way to get out of here as discreetly as I could.
