    Mayor's Office, Gotham City
    7:30 PM Sunday

A man in a red cloak walked up to the Mayor's office. He walked up to the door and reached inside his satchel for a specific tool. He dug around for a moment and pulled out a key, some guards took notice and began to approach him. They pulled guns as they came around him, but they were the Ones shot as irony decided.
Two men on a nearby rooftop watched as their boss infiltrated the democracies local forum. They layed on their chests viewing the area with their sniper rifles. The man in red stuck his key inside and walked in. The rest of their job was easy, just make sure no one walked in. Funny thing was the trouble wasn't stopping someone from walking in, it was stopping any cop with finesse from sprinting in, or worse yet, The Batman.
All the lights inside the office were on but no one was home. The man in red would look sad, if it weren't for his golden mask blocking his face. The man placed a shoebox on the mayors office and placed a clay brick on each of the support columns inside the building.

He took off his mask and said,"This is a day to behold. The collapse of local Democracy. Prelude to national collapse of Democracy. Leading into the rule of Anarchy."

Outside the Mayor's office the local citizens had gathered around to see what was happening a police barrier was being placed around the large building. At the front were Commissioner Gordon, Harvey Bullock, and an officer Moore. The sun was setting and Gordon had walked away.
A swat van pulled up and unloaded seven heavily armed men. Each one was carrying a set of sniper rifle, twin pistols, and flash grenades. They were in black armor and obviously experienced in the way of causing pain.
By the time the Swat team unloaded Gordon was driving down the street. He stepped out of the car after he arrived at the police station. He entered the building and went to the elevator and hit the button that would take him to the roof. There was no time to pretend the police could handle this threat on society alone.
On the roof Gordon approached a spotlight that was gifted to him by The Batman himself. He was secretly supportive of the Batman entirely. It's just necessary to hide his association. It's time to protect the fragile structure of society.

Rhiannon lounged in her apartment enjoying a bottled water after a night of crime-fighting.

Let's see stopped one attempted break-in, 2 muggings, and one car theft. Considering how tall I am when I do all this and the fact that I've been at the University all day and a good chunk of the night not a bad day at all.

She finished off her bottled water and cuts on her TV.

"Might as well see what's going on here," She said as her cat Jarvis jumped onto her stomach.

Rhiannon picked up the remote and said, "You realize if I was The Atom at that moment I would've been squashed, and then where would you be?"

Jarvis purred and settled down and Rhiannon began to pet the cat and said, "No one to change your box, or feed you or anything like that."

Jarvis laid down and Rhiannon said, "Yeah yeah I love you too old man."

She cut on the channel guide and said, "Hey the Stallions are playing the Knicks. Gotta check that out. So tell me Jarvis you think Mason will be able to Melo?"

Jarvis didn't seem to respond as Rhiannon said, "Yeah I think Mason can lock him down and..."

Just then there was a news bulletin. Morgan Whitley of WKCL was reporting of hostage situation downtown at the Excelsior Club.

Rhiannon sat up and said, "Okay Jarvis time for me to go back to work. Do me a favor keep up with the Basketball Game I expect a complete rundown when I get back."

Rhiannon left the living room and went into the kitchen.

Gotta do this quick before Jarvis comes in here and decides I'm a late night snack.

Rhiannon transformed into The Atom just before Jarvis arrived and exited the apartment headed to The Excelsior Club.

The Roof of GCPD, Gotham City
    7:50 PM, Sunday

Gordon sighed after standing hopefully for two minutes. He felt a little cheated by his response time. But he's only human, or is he? Gordon thought. Then finally a figure clad in black dropped from the sky onto the rooftop.

    "Commissioner," Batman said.

"Batman, the mayor's office is under siege by Anarky. We have the place on lockdown, but we don't know what he's doing."

"Of course," Batman said as he pointed his grappling hook upward as it shot onto a blur. And like that Batman was off.

Gordon was surprised,"At least he didn't leave mid sentence again."

By the Mayors Office, Gotham City
    8:00 PM Sunday

Batman stood atop a building near the mayor's office. He then switched his cowl to NiteVision mode by pressing a button on the side of his cowl.
He walked to the edge of the building and then he touched a button on his gauntlet, stiffening his cape. Then he threw himself at the ground to gain speed, and turned up for altitude. The result was The Batman soaring down towards the Mayor's office.

As he landed cops cried out,"Hey, it's Batman." And other stuff like,"Stop him." And several other cliches.

As his feet touched the ground the impact sensors on his feet loosened his cape. Because it was such a secure building there were no windows, so he tossed a grenade at the roof.
After a brief moment the grenade exploded on top of the roof leaving a hole twenty feet in diameter. After checking it out Batman walked up to the hole.
Batman dropped into the abyss, spreading his cape to slow his fall. Then there was Contact. Anarky's henchmen walked into the room and aimed their weapons at Batman, who rolled over and threw down a smoke pellet.
In a room full of support columns, the thugs assumed that they'd be unsafe if they put their back to one. So they put their backs together and walked around waiting for him to show himself. What they hadn't considered was the fact they wouldn't be watching themselves.
That was their mistake. THUNK. Was the noise their skulls made as Batman's hands thrusted them together. They both were out cold. Batman wrapped them up and threw them out the front door, where they were swarmed by Gotham's Finest.
In the building there was a dome on top supported by columns directly underneath it. There were two wings. Both faced the street. The west wing contained a court and several offices of Lawyers. And the office once belonging to Harvey Dent, the greatest Lawyer in Gotham. But the office didn't just remind the people of hope, it also reminds them of Tragedy. It reminds them of the descent of Harvey Dent into madness. It reminds them of Two-Face.
The east wing contained the Mayor's Office as well as several other chambers. Batman guessed Anarky was in the office. So he shot his grapnel and flew over to the Mayor's door.

"Hello Batman," Anarky said with his finger on a button.

    IC Robin
    -------------------------------------
Dick slipped on the Robin suit and headed over to the motorcycle in his garage. He'd been waiting all day for the cover of night. He decided to directly investigate Beroz's death. So he shot off down the highway, he weaved through the cars and bikes until he rode to a swarm of bikers with big muscles, fast bikes, leather jackets, and spiked shoes.

"Hey Tweety-Bird," called one of them."Heard you crossed the Penguin. We need an employer, so you crossed us.

Robin rode up next to him,"Best you be crossin' ya legs, mate," he said in his best fake Australian accent.

"Why?" asked the biker with a puzzled look.

"Cause I'm takin' you down unda'," said Robin as he popped his staff in the man's testicles.

He swerved and fell off the road. One down, twenty-seven to go, he thought. He pulled up next to the lead's bike, who pulled a shotgun. Everyone else followed his lead.

"Gotta know when you're beat," said the lead.

"You're absolutely right," agreed Robin as he threw a smoke pellet in the biker's face before everyone else fired their shotguns. His body smacked the ground before he got shot. His cape, not so lucky. Neither was his bike, which was shot up and skidding on the ground.
