James jumped into the pilot seat pf the other fighter, initiating the launch sequence. He took off, knowing that Kawaii would be just behind him, and flew off out of the hangar. Patching himself through to Kawaii's communications, he tells her "Stay close, it wont be easy getting through."

All around them were massive ships engaging in combat. The large, bulky, heavily armored and gunned Kal-Don ships, against the superiorly shielded, sleek black capital ships of the Shadow Wolf Mercenaries. The faster fighters of the mercenaries were practicaly flying circles around the bulky ships the Kal-Don used, but the larger brutish capital ships were pounding the mercenary's relentlessly. The Shadow Wolf weapons weren't nearly as heavy, but they were much more maneuvrable, and had better shielding, which is why the mercenaries had to destroy their enemy on the inside.

James barrel rolled, dodging a salvo from an incoming enemy fighter. His weapons had a lock though, and James fired, blasting off a great chunk of the heavy fighter, but it still flew. James didnt have time to look back to see if Kawaii was still with him, but he put the thrusters to full throttle, dodging around enemy fire, making for the largest of his capital ships.

Kawaii navigated smoothly through the ships shooting at what she could, she wasn't used to this ship and she felt oddly exposed as she raced after James keeping close to his flank but not in the way, she glanced around the interior as she tried to figure all the controls out, she was afraid if she pushed on the ship would self destruct, she knew enough to fly and even shoot so she would leave the rest alone, except she didn't know how to land.
Shaking the though from her head she shot at a Kal-Don ship and dodged several wide return fires.

The sleek ships that JAmes employed in his fleet were designed to be fast and pack a punch. They had shields, but the hull rating was low, but this gave them a huge advantage over the large, bulky Kal-Don ships. James was practically a blur as he sped along, not really engaging any enemies. Dodging and weaving, he flew low, close to the hull of one of the large capital ships. Up next was an area called "the fray". Its the central, empty space between two opposing fleets, where most of the one manned fighters did the fighting, and where much of the weapons designed for anti-fighter uses were focused, making it highly dangerous. James turned off his weapons systems, and diverted all power to his thrusters. His ship lurched forward, jets flaring brightly as he took off even faster.

"We're almost there, try to keep up!" He said to Kawaii, chuckling.

Looking after James and his speeding ship Kawaii didn't know how to make hers go any faster, so twisting her ship she dropped low beneath all the ships and simply hid among the large asteroids, lashing her tail impatiently she looked around once more hoping to find a control book or something. Putting the ship on autopilot and got onto her hands and knees and looked around the seats and compartments. Finding some dehydrated corn meat in a sealed bag she opened it, sniffed and then proceeded to omnom on it, it was chewy, but better than the food she'd been fed at the Kal-Don base.
Giving up hope at finding a instruction manual she slide back into the seat and began randomly pressing buttons, watching to see if anything happened, slightly afraid she'd self destruct she stayed away from any overly large red buttons.

Smiling, he looped back around "Just say the words 'Activate Cruise Engines'. It will divert the power from your weapons to the engines." He switched back to normal power, giving Kawaii covering fire until she got her engines going.

Raising an eyebrow Kawaii repeated the words to the ship loudly hoping it would work, or she'd look like a dork talking to her vessel, she grinned as her ship leaped forward at a faster pace, she held on and steered smoothly up through the asteroids and back to James "Where are we going exactly" she looked around to make sure no one was about to blast her before she relaxed back in the seat

"Just stay on my tail, we're headed for the largest of those black ships there, its called the Eclipse."

James shot forward, in a direct line towards the massive black ship. The two of them made it unscathed through the mayhem of the battle, and were approaching the hangar. The tractor beams latched onto them, pulling them safely into the hangar, the ships autopilot landing itself.

James jumped up out of his ship and watched Kawaii's Vamp land in the space next to him.

"Come on, we're headed to the bridge, we need to get the fleet out of here."

She smiled happily as the ship landed itself, she was afraid she'd have to do it, which would more then likely have ended with her crashing the sleak black fighter into the side of the Eclipse. Leaping out of the ship Kawaii landed neatly and lightly on her feet, quickly looking around for danger and lashed her tail and flicked her ears and followed after James

James walked up to a circular alcove in the rear of the hangar. It had a console in front of it, with two men there. He walked in, Kawaii right behind him, and stood on one of the circles on the floor. He said to the two men at the console "Put both of us on the command bridge."

The two console operators pressed several buttons, and the air started to shimmer in front of James and Kawaii. They felt a strange tingling sensation, and after a moment noticed they were in a different place. A similar circular alcove, but they could see in front of them through the door way the bridge of the ship. James strode out, and sat into the command chair in the center of the bridge.

"Alright, the mission was a success, tell all forces to pull out and retreat." As he finished, the enemy capital ship they escaped seemed to just stop everything it was doing. After a few moments, huge explosions ripped out of the sides as his forces inside detonated their explosives. The enemy ship was crippled, but not destroyed.

All of the mercenary ships received the order to disengage, and retreated. The various fighters landed in the capital ships, and before long the entire fleet retreated to warp speed. James rotated his seat to look at Kawaii "Welcome to the Eclipse, Kawaii. You're running with the Wolves now." He said with a smile.

Kawaii smiled at James and looked around, wondering what was gonna happen now, directing her attention back to James she beams brightly "Running with wolves?" laughing at the phrase she flicks her tail "is there anyway I can get my weapons?" she has left her borrowed sword back on the other ship. Smiling hopefully at James she lifts her ears and swirls her tail
