"I think this planet probably doesn't HAVE shrimp, Doctor." Smith gasped, leaning against the back of the TARDIS to catch his breath. Jasper poked his snouth out from under the collar of Smith's shirt, where he'd been hiding during all the commotion. Hedgehogs didn't handle conflict well, not even hedgehogs with artifically-enhanced intelligence. "I've seen a lot of things travelling with you, but an Earth species just happening to exist on an alien world? That'd be something.."
He bent forward and put his hands on his knees in a gesture of extreme exhaustion. The nanomachines in his body had already broken down the fatigue toxins in his muscles and re-oxygenated his blood so Smith actually felt just fine - this was just a show for the Doctor. He swore when Jasper nipped his ear and then motioned with his snout towards the girl. "Oh, and this is Jasper. He's a hedgehog. Don't believe anything he says."
