Bedlam High, where monsters walk the halls.
Just like normal humans, affectionately called 'norms', monsters need education. Bedlam High is well known in the monster world as the only high school for creatures. Because of this, monsters swarm to it from far and wide, all around the world even. Humans have no idea of it's existence. The facility is passed off as an insane asylum, and therefore given a wide girth. The students at Bedlam high actually live at the school over the semester, going home for holidays and such.
To a monster teen, the highschool is a playground of the unknown. Classes involve the typical math, science, history, gym, english, ect., but there are a few more...eccentric classes thrown in as well.
Who would have known that vampires need to be taught how to properly drink blood? Werewolves must know how to control their shifting, and many other monsters have to learn how to behave themselves to prevent blowing their existence to the world. This is all taught in Monster Etiquette, a required course that teaches the students in groups according to their species. There is a basic class, a Bloodlover's class, a Shifter's class, a Hellspawn's class. If the student falls into one of the special classes, they still must take the basic class.
And what happens after these students have lunch and are all riled up? Well, the school offered a sparring class for those who want it. The class is optional, of course. It is considered a gym class, so students who take it do not have to take regular gym as well.
And of course, there is the dreaded History of Monsters. Some love it, some hate it. But like it or not, it is important for monsters to know their own history, just as it is for humans. This class it taken alongside of World History.
And what about all those monsters who's powers orientate around sex? Well, don't worry. There is a Sexual Control Education class for all of those who have the power to seduce. The class teaches them how to control their 'urges', and when it is considered the right time to use their powers.

1: No overpowerment. I think that's pretty clear.
2: No Mary sues, I swear to god.
3: Don't be that guy that posts once and then leaves us all waiting on you.
4: Have fun you assholes, I worked hard on this.

Well, here's some Lovecraft to add to this thing.
Name: Chuuliatonamekart. Called Ekart for short and, well, pronounceable.
Age: In human years: 6, his maturity is however comparable to any 16 to 19 years old human individual.
Gender: Biologically Hermaphrodite, Considered Male by classmates.
Species: Atlantian, although they call themselves Urrogoshoth and get often called Urr-things as a form of disrespect. As they live under the blue of the Atlantic in enormous pressures, little is known by the general public about them. Due to the fact that they live farther away from the technologies of humans they are considered more primitive, their appearance makes them outright weird for most.
Personality: Ekart is of the curious sort, which is what pushed him to study above the sea. This wanderlust is what characterizes him mainly, he wishes to explore the world and although this is impossible for him to look at the places he wishes to visit himself due to his appearance, he collects pictures of these places. Otherwise, he is aware that his species is a curiosity and not exactly well seen, which is why he keeps mostly to himself. He understands human speech but since his vocals aren’t made to speak as a human does, he sometimes have a hard time to pronounce words.
Abilities:
-Water Manipulation: In adition of moving faster than an Olympic swimmer in the water, he as many members of his race has the ability to somewhat control water. He controls currents and pressure extremely well under water but above water, his control of water through air remains somewhat clumsy if still good for a student.
-Illusion: Ekart’s personal favorite and also a useful tool to express what he means when language is a barrier to communication. Through sheer practice, he’s come to be extremely good at this magic, using it naturally without much difficulty.
-Urr-Magic: The nature of the Atlantians is mysterious as are their true powers. This power is strongly linked to darkness and silence and, although completely normal for an Urrgoshoth, to madness for most other races. Indeed it was found that anyone sleeping in a class with him in it would hear what they would describe as a subtle humming. This would be followed by nightmares about alien creatures and nose bleeding. While using this power would be to an atlantian as natural as sucking blood for a vampire, he swore not to do so himself for the sake of the others, plus, it may see him expelled instantly.
Other: He lives in a dormitory on school ground as he is somewhat of an exchange student, he has a room for himself, a luxury given to him due to his Urr nature which makes anything sleeping next to him in danger, maybe even mortally so.
Appearance:
History: He was born and raised in the Marian Crevice just south of Iceland. By human standard, there is little of interest in his life. He was always considered an intelligent kid and was destined to be a Cthuloid, keeper of the lore, the closest human equivalent being a priest of some sort. He pushed hard to study on the surface as he would often travel close to the shores to look at the human. Never was he so impressed as a night when he saw London from the Thame.

Age: 18, Senior

Species: Selkie
Personality: Orren tends to be a bit flighty, whimsical, and often is a daydreamer. However, he is sweet natured and still a pretty good guy. Selkies are known for their priorities: their life in the sea comes before everything, even friends. It's true that Orren values his home more than his human life. If he had a choice between going back to the ocean this very instant, leaving his friends and everyone at the high school, he'd do it. He tries to hide his home sickness, but it's easy to find him during his freetime: either in the pool or out by the lake on the school grounds.
Abilities: Orren is actually a seal that can turn into a man, not the other way around. When he comes out of the sea, his seal skin sheds, his human form appearing from underneath it. If he wants to turn back into a seal, he has to wear his skin when he enters the water.
Selkies are known for their seductive abilities, but Orren has honestly never tried them out. He doesn't want to be one of those selkies who falls in love with another, only to break their heart to return to sea. He avoids romance in general.
Other: Orren's seal skin is his most valued item. If someone where to get a hold of it, he would be in their power. That said, he keeps a pretty close eye on it, never going anywhere without it.
Appearance: As a harbor seal, Orren has grey and white fur with dark grey spots. He is about 4 feet long, and weighs in at 190 pounds. As a human, Orren is 5'9", fair skinned, and dark haired. His dark brown hair is almost always on the messy side. Orren has chocolate brown eyes that bare a soft, gentleness, like that of a friendly seal.
History: Orren grew up in the cold waters of Scotland. He was found playing with his fellow seals and lounging on rocks near the shore of Orkney island. Orren had no desire to come on land, but his parents simply wouldn't let their child go uneducated. Orren begrudgingly obeyed as he was sent out onto the beach, trading in his seal skin for human clothes. Because his parents couldn't accompany him, Orren was left to figure things out for himself.
He got on a series of buses that eventually got him close enough to the school to contact the administrators and arrange to have him picked up. Orren's first year was miserable, but it's slowly gotten better. He's made friends and all, but he's eager to get the school year over with so that he can finally go home.
