Grimm - Wesen

Anyone here a fan of the TV show, Grimm? If you are, let's put together an RP and have some fun. I found a Grimm Wiki that has only been around for a few months now. Instead of walking in here with a story idea, since each Wesen race brings its own qualities into the story. I'd prefer to gather five willing participants to choose a Wesen they would like to play. We can develop a story idea from the characters created in the OOC.

I want this to be original characters, non-canon. I will choose a US City other than Portland, OR. The city I choose will be on the smaller side so we can maintain the "outdoor" flavor of the Television series. Since the show is on the west coast, I'll look for a suitable East Coast or Central time Zone city for our setting; maybe Portland, ME or Richmond, VA? If anyone has a suggestion, we can use that.

One character will get the role of the Grimm. There can be only one for this story idea. Although, he does not have to be a Police Officer like Nick Burkhart, being a Police officer is a natural role for the Grimm as their task is to "Police" the Wesen behavior. I will use Reapers (NPCs) who work for the Royals to watch over the Grimm to insure he does not turn into a Endezeichen Grimm. No one will be permitted to RP an Endezeichen Grimm, Reaper or a Royal unless you can prove a solid argument for RPing a good Royal.

Although, this is the first I am hearing about The Nine Lives of Chloe King and would love to RP a Mai or even The Uniter, the concept doesn't really fit the Grimm storyline. The Mai are much more powerful than any of the Wesen, except maybe a few. They would be a challenge for the Reapers. The story idea behind The Nine Lives of Chloe King would make a fascinating RP all by itself without being part of a Grimm RP.

EDIT: I didn't even see the Lost Girl Link. I love that show. It also is worthy of its own RP; not to be mixed with Grimm or Nine Lives.

There is a Wesen referred to as Feline that has no comments yet. You could create a Feline based on the description of the Mai with some alterations. Here is teh quote from the wiki:

Mai possess the natural abilities inherent in all felines, though their half-human nature and size make them physically superior to any human or feline. Their abilities include:

Enhanced physical attributes (allowing them to always land on their feet without harm after falling from great distances)
Accelerated healing
Heightened senses
Night vision
Retractable claws
Empathy (of all the Mai shown in the series, only Chloe possesses this ability.)

In addition, Mai and humans are physically incompatible and any intimate/romantic physical contact between the two, even something as small as a kiss, can cause paralysis and death to the human.

Change to:

Felines (Mai) can change into a humanoid catlike appearance when engaging their feline form. This form can be viewable to humans if the Feline chooses to. It will always be detected by other Wesen and Grimm.
- Enhanced physical attributes (allowing them to always land on their feet without harm after falling from distances of 40 feet or less.)
- Accelerated healing resistant to infections. Don't require antibiotics.
- Heightened senses highly acute sense of smell and can hear whispered conversations a hundred feet away.
- Night Vision
- Retractable claws (In feline form)
- Empathy
Mai and humans are physically compatible. Mai may have intimate/romantic physical contact with humans. Contact will not cause paralysis or death to the human.


Regarding Lost Girl, I have often considered doing an RP on that show or possibly Alphas, another show where seemingly normal humans have special abilities.

if you think about that cat-like Wesen that required Nick, and his mother to take out, they were pretty damn hax if you think about it. Personally I wouldn't give a Mai much chance against one. However this is your RP, and I just posted them for ideas to see what other stuff you'd be willing to accept, or thought could be integrated.

Personally it would need a lot of work doing to make it a full RP, namely inventing a whole load of creatures that would fit - e.g. we have Jackals descended from Anubis, but would also need ones created by Ra, Horus, Set and many, many others. It is kind of why I would likely crossover with something else to save work. Let's face it, GM'ing is bloody hard work. lol

I'll puzzle something out.
As they're parahumans, they just need to essentially be a cat in human(oid) form, and have the usual characteristics.
